Every piece of technology is something that can break, and every piece of technology is something that can short out your car's electrical system, which is a very very expensive fix. I am a HUGE car luddite. If I was building my own car from scratch, it'd have heat, cooling, and a radio as a trim package. That's it.

That being said, it's UNAVOIDABLE now. It just is. All cars are fucking wired to the hilt, the best you can do is choose a lower trim package that has the performance specs you want (Again, as I know you personally, I somehow doubt that you need performance in a large sense. Go for simplicity)

For the love of fuck, don't buy a crossover. Like, please don't. They have a sedan's engine in an SUV's body. I hate them. They are popular in America pretty much exclusively because we want a BIG CAR for our AMERICAN FREEDOMS but don't want to pay the money to make big car USEFUL with an appropriately sized engine. I am incredibly judgmental on this topic and nor tears nor prayers will purchase out abuses, therefore use none.

One thing I will try to talk you into? A manual transmission, for three reasons:

1) The best anti-theft device on the market. Americans are really fucking weird (lazy?) about manual transmissions, compared to the rest of the world, and so a lot of times the car isn't worth it, or thieves are less likely to know how to drive it, etc.

2) Saving money: Manuals get better gas mileage and transmission repairs are much rarer.

3) Better driving experience. I put this last because some people don't care about this, and they are entitled to be wrong, but a manual transmission forces you to get more in tune with your car, listening and feeling to how it responds, and in the long run I am very much of the opinion that it makes you a better driver.

He’d really love to be able to go to college, but the way things are now, it’s highly unlikely that’ll ever happen. :/ Wyvern’s Bay doesn’t have a university of its own, and any other universities are completely out of his reach. But if he could go to uni (dreaming is free, right?) he’d probably major in Biology or Art.

25. What is one thing your sim wants to do before they die? Just one thing? D: Marcus is so young, there’s so much he wants to do with life! Like find the love of his life, get married, start a family… it’s a long list!

He doesn’t have any particular movie or show he considers his favorite, but he generally enjoys comedies, superhero films, and documentaries about ancient civilizations. Or well, used to enjoy. He had a PC at home that he’d play on, and one of his friends from school (who had a console) would sometimes organize game nights. When he played on his home PC, it’d usually be single-player offline games, and when he played with his friends on console, they’d go for multiplayers.

30. What is your sim’s personal style? He’d describe it as “comfy & casual”, but these days it’s closer to “wears the same old rags every day and will continue to do so until the clothes literally fall apart”. It’s not easy to be fashionable when you live off grid, in the wilderness.

31. Does your sim have a lucky charm? Not per se, no… but he used to dry press four-leaved clovers whenever he’d come across them. He called it his “lucky collection”.

I started a month in advance bc it usually takes me that long to produce something and as the date approached closer I was lowkey panicking and almost thought I wouldn’t make it lol. The biggest disappointment:

I also like rollin’ in the deep a lot more than I thought I would considering it was just a dumb fluff piece to satisfy my thirst. I wrote the first 1300 words in a waiting room and I was like I don’t have to make this perfect bc it’s stupid fluff but I legit melted writing it. oh and publishing the first chapter of forever yours in two weeks after my first fic. how in the hell did I ever write 9k that quickly I will unfortunately never able to do that again.
