JayDick Week 2023 Day 6: Omegaverse | Fake Relationship

ick was beginning to wish Jason would deny the masses. For fifteen minutes already he’d been regaling a few other elite omegas about Dick’s cock. Gotham Elite loved to act high and mighty for cameras, but they were as raunchy and depraved as they accused others of being. Jason’s trap was setting off well.

It had been the topic of hot gossip that Dick had snagged not only an omega but an omega that looked like Jason had - lacking in all tradition and social norms. But, they’d reasoned amongst themselves, considering Dick’s past before Bruce had “saved him”, could they be surprised?

An unorthodox childhood before taming surely didn’t go away. The only indication that the conclusion bothered Jason was when he’d sweetly but firmly (read: viciously) reprimanded a partygoer over their own Alpha’s failings.

( “Well we can’t all have good Alphas like Dick, I suppose,” Jason said. “Alphas that don’t go chasing after underage omegas in crisis. Tell me, Mrs. Leroy, when’s the court case?”

so Patreon is now asking for government issue ID from their "mature" content creators, so I will either be closing my patreon or Patreon will take care of that for me very soon. because I don't know about you, but I don't make a habit of handing out my passport or other sensitive information to random sites.

this genuinely stinks. Patreon was great at first, but it's been steadily getting worse, and this is genuinely the straw that broke the camel's back for me. like genuinely, what the fuck.

I will be posting a more in-depth post about what's been going on with me and where I've been soon, but I wanted to drop the Patreon news today since I just got the email. What would you say the antithesis of your character is? How jarring would it be for you to write them? Do you think your character could ever develop into their antithesis? Would that be good, or bad, in your opinion?

If I broke Ray down to what I consider to be the most important aspect about him, disregarding everything that’s merely embellishment ( like him being rude, stand-offish, reckless, etc. ), then it would be that he’s someone who lives life on his own terms and not on those imposed on him by outside influences such as his father, his workplace, or in a more general sense society, even if that means he has to brave the consequences that come with deviating from what is expected of him. Accordingly, his antithesis would be someone who lacks any and all agency. Someone too weak and afraid to carve their own path. Someone his father would’ve preferred him to be.

As a child, his father decided everything for him: from his future career, to his future wife, his interests, his views, down to minute details such as what clothes to wear. This is exactly why I cannot picture him ever developing into his antithesis in his main verses; breaking away from his father’s clutch was too monumental for him to ever allow anyone to deprive him of his control and agency again. He knows how suffocating it feels when you’re not allowed to have your own identity.

That said, there’s one way I could see him start off as his antithesis in an AU verse. One where his mother ceases to be a part of his life. What would happen is that Ray disregards his father’s warning to not tell his mother ( or anyone, really ) about the dead woman he saw in his father’s law firm. Confronted with that knowledge, his mother sees the need to take action, ultimately leading her to get killed. Ray would be so guilt-ridden and traumatized by her death that he would henceforth believe that not following his father’s every word and demand will inevitably lead to disaster. He’d become part of his father’s criminal network and be one of those who make bothersome people “disappear”. Which would be very jarring to write, since it’d be a big departure from who he is in main verse. Suddenly he’d be the criminal he would’ve hunted down if his mother had not died.
