Hey everyone!! I’ve got some exciting news…

[Crowley's noodle legs, make it so he has a harder time standing, but neither of them stand up well. I think I'll get them doll stands later.]

On occasion, I will get into a mood to use unconventional materials to make art. These are not my first pipe cleaner dolls, and they will not be my last, but they certainly are the ones I want to pose the most, and create the most props for.

Both dolls took about a week to make each, but stretched over several months, as pipe cleaners are sometimes hard to find, and you have to get some colors you don't need just to get about 10-15 sticks of the one you do need- or dye some white pipe cleaners to get the color you want (use acrylic paint diluted in water, before drying thoroughly, you don't want rust in your fuzzy sticks)

Anyway ...

Another lil guy!!!! He’s always makin my apartment an artsy place! And he loves to cuddle and be tall. He loves to doodle on everything I have too! He’s a nice lil friend

Lothaire & Charlotta

This adorable couple is Lothaire de Silvaron and his fiancée Charlotta Adalgisa von Baumholder-Kusel. It was the first time I've made dolls for RPG characters that are not part of my own RPG group - and the first time I've had real-world photos to work from, as these are LARP characters of my brother and Lotta's player.

This was quite an experience! Having such a detailled template to work from is very different than the descriptions or sketches I usually get. Apart from the immense level of detail, these are clothes that actually make sense in their full sized versions, and the players have spent lots of time on small cool details, because they wear that stuff for days! For pen & paper, it's often easy to ignore physics or logic in favour of flair. In LARP, this is not half as easy. ^^

Also, this time I got player feedback during the work-in-progress phase, which was something I really enjoyed! (Everyone else so far has opted for "please surprise me when it's finished" when asked. ^^)

I'm very pleased with how they turned out, even though Lothaire gave me quite a bit of grey hair. The fleur-de-lis is a MEAN symbol for this scale! Actually worse than that unicorn, because of the sheer number! Charlotta was a lot more straightforward by comparison. But I really love the hundred small details in both of them. ❤️

(I've also been a big fan of their IT romance for years! I really hope they get their happily ever after! 🤞🤞🤞Maybe these dolls will bring them luck? ❤️)
