Fantasy booking-the 1st Intercontinental tournament
Rob Faint We all know the story of how Pat Patterson won the IC title back in 1979.  The story is he won the title in a fictitious tournament in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.   My question is, why did the WWF not run a real tournament?  Who would have been the participants?  In this column I attempt to book the tournament acknowledging Patterson as the eventual winner. Big Daddy
Tumblr media
Feel good family comedy about a young deadbeat who becomes a dad overnight when a young boy is left on his doorstep.
As part of his unorthodox parenting techniques he teaches the boy how to apply a sleeper hold like Chief Jay Strongbow.
Wrestle Rating:
3 out of 5 tomato ketchup meals
Tumblr media
A funny but polarising Adam Sandler vehicle that's a bit subtler than some of his previous movies.

High Chief Peter Maivia and Chief Jay Strongbow [October 1978]
It seems like a match forged in gold, with the High Chief Peter Maivia teaming with Chief Jay Strongbow. As a tag team, the two had mild success in the WWF in the late 1970s, but the two would eventually come to blows during a match against The Yukon Lumberjacks. The pair argued over who should start the match, with Strongbow electing to do so. Just as things seemed to be relaxing between the two, Maivia entered the ring behind Strongbow, clubbing him over the back and leaving Strongbow to be assaulted by The Yukon Lumberjacks. [x]
