So remembered an animatic that said every Ladybug holder was destined to abandon their Black Cat and they'd never see each other again. So I quickly threw together a set of curses for all the Chinese Box.

Ladybug - They are destined to always die alone with their goals unaccomplished

Black Cat - They are fated to always be abandoned by the person they hold closest

Fox - They are fated to always destroy the person they love most

Turtle - When it counts most they won’t be able to protect those they hold most dear

Bee - They are fated to drive others away at their most vulnerable

Butterfly - They are fated to have their good intentions twisted sour

Peacock - They are fated to put their faith and love into the wrong person and destroy themselves

Snake - At the end of things, they will always end up alone

Dragon - They are fated to never have the strength they most need

Bunny - They are destined to see the worst fates of their friends repeat over and over again with no chance to save them

Tiger - They are destined to always squeeze too tight and break those they love

Pig - Their kindness and desire to help will be their downfall

Mouse - They are fated to feel the weight of every task and eventually be crushed by it

Ox - They are cursed to be destroyed by their own growing doubt

Horse - They are fated to always be a moment too slow and be ruined by it

Monkey - Their happiness will come at the cost of the misery of others

Goat - They will be consumed by their passion and desires

Dog - They will devote their lives to a goal and only in their last moments realize they were wrong

Rooster - The people they hold closest will be unreachable

My rough idea is that the Miraculous of the Chinese Miracle Box are so powerful that their magic naturally backlashes onto the user in the form of a curse. So if someone wears a Miraculous for too long, they will be doomed to the curse even if they take it off.

Eda And Lilith As Guardians Of The Chinese Miracle Box

Ok. Here I’ll be going over my reasons why Eda and Lilith would make worthy guardians of the Chinese Miracle Box and how they would go about it as a duo. For those of you that don’t know, the Chinese Miracle Box is a magical box that contains various magical jewels called Miraculouses that each give the wearer a certain superpower. The Miraculouses are also connected to creatures called Kwamis that represent abstract concepts. With that out of the way, let’s dive right in.

First off, I’m gonna explain why they would make worthy guardians of the Chinese Miracle Box. Eda’s prowess with being on the run would be able to allow her to keep pretty much anything hidden. Combine that with Lilith’s sense of caution and you have a duo that would be capable of keeping the Miracle Box away from the villain’s grasp. However, that’s only half of the requirement to be worthy guardians of the Chinese Miracle Box. Eda and Lilith also have to be altruistic in order to be suitable guardians. And I think that they are. Eda was shown to be altruistic pretty early on in The Owl House TV series. In the second episode of Season 1 ‘Witches Before Wizards’, Eda went out of her way to save Luz Noceda from a puppet demon. And over time, Eda practically became a second mother to Luz. There’s also the fact that throughout Season 2, Eda was shown to be willing to fight for wild witches everywhere against Emperor Belos’s tyranny. As for Lilith, it took considerably more time for her to join the light side. Throughout Season 1, she was blindly loyal to Emperor Belos and also was trying to force her ways onto her sister Eda. But during the Season 1 finale ‘Young Blood, Old Souls’, Lilith pretty much redeemed herself by helping Luz to free her sister Eda. Also, in the episode ‘Separate Tides’, Lilith risked her life by going to a nest of fire bees in order to make a scrying potion to help Eda take down Emperor Belos. I think that means that Lilith has proven herself to be altruistic enough to be worthy of being a Guardian of the Chinese Miracle Box alongside her sister Eda.

Next, I’ll be going over how Eda and Lilith would study and experiment with the Miraculouses in the Chinese Miracle Box. Since Eda and Lilith are witches and very powerful ones at that, they could most likely use their magic to take the power of the Miraculouses to a level beyond what the Order of the Guardians have been able to. After all, humans adopted magic but witches are born with it. Plus, Eda and Lilith had to have immense knowledge of magic to get as far they did before Eda’s Curse robbed them of their magical power in ‘Young Blood, Old Souls’. So, even in Season 2 when they don’t have their powers anymore, they would still have the knowledge to upgrade the Miraculous’s powers to a greater degree than ever before. As shown in the episode ‘Escaping Expulsion’, Eda and Lilith have different methods when it comes to practicing with a new type of magic. Eda’s preferred method is taking the more unorthodox approach by experimenting straight away. Lilith’s preferred method, on the other hand, is taking the more orthodox approach by practicing the basics and studying exactly how the magic works first.

Eda’s method winded up backfiring on her in ‘Escaping Expulsion’ but I think that after that incident, Eda would be a tad bit more careful and have the Ladybug Miraculous’s Miraculous Ladybug power at the ready in case something goes wrong while experimenting. Now, as shown in the episodes ‘Eda’s Requiem’ and ‘King’s Tide’, Eda’s Curse can be converted into a wave of destructive power that destroys pretty much anything in its path magic or otherwise. It’s kinda similar to the Black Cat Miraculous’s Cataclysm power when you really think about it. So, I think that Eda would use that similarity to try to use her Curse more effectively. As shown throughout the Miraculous TV series, the Black Cat Miraculous’s Cataclysm is pretty focused. It only destroys what the wielder’s hand touches. I think that means that Eda would be able to use that to get her Curse’s destructive power focused on 1 target rather than the whole area. I think she could do that by using her own knowledge of witch potions combined with newly acquired knowledge of human potions from the Guardian Spellbook to upgrade the Black Cat Miraculous’s powers to accommodate her Curse and harness its power as well as vice versa. I think it can be done when considering that the Black Cat Miraculous harnesses the power of a Kwami that represents the abstract concept of destruction itself. I also think that Eda can use that same knowledge of witch potions and the Guardian Spellbook to get her Curse to work with and get harnessed by 2 other Miraculouses. Another Miraculous she would be able to do this with would be the Monkey Miraculous. There’s the fact that Eda’s Curse was shown and stated to be able to disrupt magic in the episodes ‘Young Blood, Old Souls’ and ‘Eda’s Requiem’ which is similar to the Monkey Miraculous which was shown to be able to cause other people’s powers to malfunction in the episode ‘Party Crasher’. And disrupting something and causing it to malfunction are kinda the same thing. I think that was pretty much shown in the episode ‘Separate Tides’ where the Curse’s power to disrupt magic caused Eda’s magic to malfunction and caused the cup of ketchup she was trying to levitate to explode. Also, since the Monkey Miraculous was also shown to be more focused than the Curse since it only disrupts the power of the person its toy-like item touches, Eda could also be able to use that to focus her Curse’s power more. Eda could also do the same thing with the Ox Miraculous’s power to disrupt and deflect any kind of magic to get her Curse’s destructive power to focus more on defense. Here’s another thing. Since the Butterfly Miraculous was shown to not only be able to akumatize 2 people at the same time but also fuse them into 1 Akuma champion in the episode ‘Oblivio’ and since the Curse’s Owl Beast was shown to be its own entity in the episode ‘Knock, Knock On Hoody’s Door’, Eda would be able to use that to give herself and the Curse’s Owl Beast a shared Akumatization to give herself access to her magic again while also being able to use said magic to harness her Curse more effectively. It could also upgrade her Harpy Eda form. Also, Eda could also use what she learned about Glyph combos to combine the Dragon Miraculous’s different powers over wind, water and lightning to create new magic powers for it. After all, Glyphs only uses the power of the elements of light, ice, plants and fire but as shown in the episode ‘Echoes Of The Past’, Luz Noceda was able to work with that to create a Glyph combo that renders anyone it touches invisible for as long as they hold their breath. Eda would be able to do something creative with the rest of the Miraculouses too and take their powers to whole new heights.

While Eda would be in charge of experimenting with the Miraculouses, Lilith would be in charge of studying them. One of the things Lilith would probably figure out by studying the Miraculouses and the Human World animals and symbolism that they’re themed after is that quite a few of the Miraculouses have animal themes that suit the power in some way. Lilith may discover that the Ladybug Miraculous’s Lucky Charm is a nod to how ladybugs symbolize good luck, the Black Cat Miraculous Cataclysm is a nod to how black cats symbolize bad luck (in a sense), the Butterfly Miraculous’s power to turn people into superpowered versions of themselves is a nod to how caterpillars that only crawl on the ground turn into butterflies that fly through the sky, the Tiger Miraculous’s power to send out a huge shockwave is a nod to how tigers assert themselves, etc. Through this, Lilith could make theories on what powers Miraculouses that aren’t from the Chinese Miracle Box might have. Some of the theories Lilith might come up with are that a Cheetah Miraculous would have the power to give the wielder super-speed which would be a nod to how cheetahs run super fast, that a Bat Miraculous would have the power to detect any sound in the city which would be a nod to how bats practically have super hearing, that a Lion Miraculous might give the wielder the power of mind control which would be a nod to how lions symbolize majesty, etc.

There’s one more thing that Eda and Lilith would do with the Miraculouses. In the episode ‘Robostus’, it was said that when the Ladybug Miraculous and the Black Cat Miraculous are fused together, they can make a wish come true. However, if such a wish was made, there would be a price to pay for it. If, for example, Eda and Lilith were to use it to lift the Owl Beast Curse, someone else would take the Curse. So, Eda and Lilith would probably not use it. But it would occur to them that if the Ladybug Miraculous and the Black Cat can be fused in such a way, why can’t the same thing be done with other Miraculouses. Here’s 1 example of this. The first example is that Eda and Lilith could fuse the Rabbit Miraculous and the Horse Miraculous. Since the Rabbit Miraculous can time travel and since the Horse Miraculous can open portals to different places in space, fusing them together could create a portal through space-time and allow the user to travel to different dimensions. Eda and Lilith will probably use that to get Luz Noceda back home.

Now, I’ll be going over how Eda and Lilith would interact with the Kwamis.

I think Eda would get along well with Trixx (the Kwami whose connected to the Fox Miraculous) because of Trixx’s cunning that was shown in the episode ‘Sapotis’ where s/he (Kwamis don’t have genders) convinced Alya to give back the Fox Miraculous by saying that she is trustworthy in her pep talk to her. That would go well with Eda’s lifestyle as someone on the run. I also think that Eda would get along well with Plagg (the Kwami whose connected to the Black Cat Miraculous) because Plagg’s mischievous sense of humor that was shown throughout the Miraculous TV series would fit well with Eda’s own trouble-making ways and Barkk (the Kwami whose connected to the Dog Miraculous) because Barkk’s good instincts that were shown in ‘Furious Fu’ where he figured that something wasn’t right would fit well with Eda’s life where she probably has to deal with other con artists. As for the Kwamis in general, Eda would like their fun-loving ways that were shown in ‘Truth’ but would still be firm with them. Especially when considering the fact that when Kwamis use their powers without a Miraculous holder, it causes a catastrophe as shown in ‘Gang Of Secrets’. Eda may be more willing to take risks than Lilith but she still has her limits. This was shown in ‘Edge Of The World’ where she expressed a lot of regret to Lilith about how Luz and King got involved in fighting a tyrant because Luz and King are only children.

Lilith would get along well with Sass (the Kwami whose connected to the Snake Miraculous) because of Sass’s maturity that was shown in ‘Sandboy’ where s/he was pretty much operating as the Kwamis’ leader. That would go well with Lilith’s penchant for following the rules. I also think that Lilith would get along well with Pollen (the Kwami whose connected to the Bee Miraculous) because of Pollen’s politeness that was shown in ‘Queen Wasp (Queen’s Battle - Part 2)’ where s/he addressed Chloe as “my queen” and Wayzz (the Kwami whose connected to the Turtle Miraculous) because of Wayzz’s sense of duty that was shown in ‘Sandboy’ where s/he was reluctant to join in on the ritual to get Nooroo back from Hawkmoth because he felt that he had to stand guard in case an Akuma attack happens. As for the Kwamis in general, Lilith would not enjoy their fun-loving ways and would also be strict with them. And since a Kwami using their power without a Miraculous holder would cause a catastrophe, Lilith would probably go to quite a few lengths to make sure they don’t use their powers under those circumstances unless it’s absolutely necessary. Lilith isn’t all that willing to take risks. This was shown in ‘Escaping Expulsion’ where she tried to get Eda to follow the rules.

So, Eda and Lilith would treat the Kwamis pretty well but would still be strict with them.

Finally, I’m gonna go over which people Eda and Lilith would choose to wield the Miraculouses.

Eda would probably choose people out of the ones that she’s close to. Since she’s lived most of her life on the run, she would probably be less willing to trust people she barely knows with the power of the Miraculouses. Her decisions would also be based on how capable they are. As for exactly which Miraculous Eda would give to which person, she would determine that based on how well that Miraculous’s abilities suits the person. After all, as established throughout The Owl House TV series, Eda is very much against Emperor Belos’s Coven system and is very willing to promote freedom. An obvious candidate Eda would select to wield a Miraculpus would be Luz Noceda. At first, Eda would think about giving Luz the Peacock Miraculous since the Peacock Miraculous’s power to create magical creatures called sentimonsters from emotions corresponds pretty well with Luz’s own emotional nature shown throughout The Owl House TV series. But after she hears from the Kwamis that disaster that happened when Master Fu tried using the Peacock Miraculous, she would rethink her decision. As shown in ‘Feast’, when Master Fu tried using the Peacock Miraculous, his hunger and anger mingled together and thus created a sentimonster that was different from the one he envisioned. It then proceeded to eat the Order of the Guardians and their temple. Eda would not risk something like that happening with Luz. Eda would be even less willing to risk it if it took place after ‘Hollow Mind’ where Luz found out she helped Emperor Belos when she time travelled to the ancient past and became devastated and was still visibly traumatized during ‘Edge Of The World’. So, I think that after debating with Lilith about it, Eda will initially give Luz the Goat Miraculous which has the much more basic ability of creating any non-magical object the wielder wants. And as shown in the Owl Pellets short ‘Art Lessons With Luz’, Luz is passionate and somewhat knowledgeable about art. So, the Goat Miraculous’s ability would correspond somewhat well with Luz’s passion for drawing and painting things. I think Eda would come to that same conclusion after seeing that the weapon of the Goat Miraculous is a paintbrush. Anyway, Eda’s plan would be to train Luz to master the Goat Miraculous before eventually moving on to a Miraculous as dangerous as the Peacock Miraculous. As for King, if Eda were to give him a Miraculous, it would probably be one that focuses a lot more on defense like the Turtle Miraculous which allows the user to create shields that are almost indestructible or the Ox Miraculous which, as I pointed out in one of my previous points, allows the wielder to repel any magic attack that comes their way. As shown in ‘Edge Of The World’, Eda has gotten pretty protective over King as well as Luz. So, Eda would be extra cautious when giving King a Miraculous and would also be extra cautious with Luz too. But in the case of someone like Raine, Eda would be a lot more willing to give him a Miraculous that’s more powerful. I know this is pretty unorthodox but I think Eda would give Raine the Snake Miraculous because of its weapon as well as its ability. I do think that Eda would believe that the Snake Miraculous’s ability to reverse time by 5 minutes would probably go well with Raine’s own sense of caution. After all, in ‘Eda’s Requiem’, Eda did playfully tease Raine for “pretending to be a rebel”. So, Eda knows very well that Raine is the more cautious of the 2 of them. But I also think that since the Snake Miraculous’s weapon is a lyre, a musical instrument, Eda would know that Raine would be able to use that very effectively since he’s a witch who heavily focuses on Bard magic.

As for Lilith, while she will obviously choose Miraculous wielders based on their intentions, she would probably also choose Miraculous wielders based on her sense of practicality. As shown in ‘Covention’, a lot of witches join a certain Coven which restricts them to using only one type of magic. So, while also making sure they aren’t loyal to Emperor Belos, she would probably choose to give certain Miraculouses to witches based on their Covens and how well said Covens corresponds to the Miraculous’s abilities since giving people abilities they’re already somewhat familiar with is the most practical way to go about it. Here are some examples. Lilith would give the Ladybug Miraculous to a witch whose part of the Healing Coven since the Ladybug Miraculous’s ability to heal people and repair damage would fit really well with Healing magic. She would give the Fox Miraculous to a witch whose a part of the Illusionist Coven. The Fox Miraculous’s ability to create illusions is obviously best suited for a witch that uses Illusion magic. She would also give the Butterfly Miraculous to a witch whose a part of the Oracle Coven. The Butterfly Miraculous’s ability to sense other people’s thoughts and emotions would fit well with Oracle magic which has the power to read minds. And the list goes on.

So, that’s how Eda and Lilith would each select new Miraculous wielders. But there’s also something else they will do after they choose new Miraculous wielders. They will give them specific instructions about their own research on the Miraculouses, how to modify the Miraculous’ powers, etc. They won’t let their selected candidates go unprepared.

Here's the redesigns for the kwamis in my rewrite. I know... they look very different. I had thoughts. They look like Plagg and Tikki do in the first image when they don't have a holder/no one is wearing their jewel. They become those chibis when someone wields their jewel so that they're "travel size". So basically, they don't just disappear when no one is wearing their miraculous.

Btw Daizzi is gonna use they/them pronouns just because the show keeps changing them from a boy to a girl and such. The kwamis don't have gender, they present themselves however they'd like (canon to the show).

Also each of them is wearing clothing from a dynasty that they liked best, so I assure you, I didn't just give them random outfits that don't historically make sense together.

Pollen is wearing yellow/gold and I know that in Chinese history, that was primarily a color of royalty/emperors and such and to wear the color in abundance was disrespectful. However, I feel it's fitting to her character (aside from the fact that she's yellow herself), because like Chloe, she acts like she is royal. But if this bugs anyone, I can easily just change her to look more green and blue.

I apologize for the length, I am pretty sure the grammar is in tatters...and probably just the general awkwardness in advance.

Frist of all, congratulations for Good Omens Season2, it's a roaring success even here in this...I don't know, bottomless pit? I myself and some others fondly call it the PRC. The show didn't made pass the firewall officially, neither was Prime Video. People still managed to watch it eventually by VPNs, shared accounts and when times are desperate...sorry, piracy. Chinese fans, including myself, using every tool in the shed to try to fool Amazon™ and our goverment, just to watch this on Prime and try to help to manifest S3, is one hell of an experience. This kind of experience is pathetic, ridiculous....and somehow hilarious in a dark, gallows humor way, almost like some bad spy comedy, I just have to share it. Worth all the trouble by the way, the reward at the end of the back channel is...well, some divine comedy to say the very least. All in all, it's a brilliant show and a solid job well-done.

Then some of my personal gratitude. They say good art resonates with your soul, I now know this is just as true as matter and gravity. Since I know Good Omens certainly resonated with mine. I'll redact the typical "depression and anxiety reduced me to a husk, a shadow of my former self" story and get to the result for brevity's sake. I can't write anything meaningful while I know I took joy in writing, I can't finish reading anything longer than a brochure while I know I was such a bookworm in the past. Then I was compelled to get up in the middle of the night, wrote a full 5000 character long analysis after marathoned S2, and then write even more analyses in both Chinese and English. I picked up American Gods because I know I need more Neil Gaiman in my life and then impressed by myself for actually finishes it the second time 5 years later. I didn't know how exactly that happened through one watch of a TV show, but I know I am changed for the better. I grasped life again, and can start living again, somehow. The resonation just keeps on giving.

This is a quiet, gentle and romantic story, it is soothing, accepting, filled to the brim with love and kindness, and it makes me feel safe and accepted and loved in a way I never felt before. I thank you for it, and hope thart I may have the privlige to witness more of this miracle. Thank you Neil, Sir Terry Pratchett and the team for this miraculous book and this miraculous show.

I have notice that you are giving the kwamis different and more uniques personalities. How you imagened their unique emotions and how they react with the holders?

For sure, there are very few instances where the Zodiac Kwami get to show their individualism except for Sass or when they briefly interact with their new holders, so I really grabbed on to any little bit I could see and held tight.

Mullo - In the story of the Chinese Zodiac, the Rat rides the Ox and jumps off at the last minute in order to arrive first, so I thought it'd make sense for Mullo to be mischievous - also because Marinette uses it first for some cheeky misdirection. I got lucky that Mullo turned out to be a bit of a prankster when "Mega Leech" came out.

Stompp - As one of the Leftover 4, Stompp didn't get a lot of expression when they were shown in "PenalTeam", but I kinda ended up working with how calm they were. The way they addressed Chloe not knowing the kwamis names gave her a Disapproving Mother vibe, so I went with them being a nurturer. I picture them wanting to watch over their holder, particularly children ones, and watch them grow into full grown Oxes.

Roarr - So this one was easy cuz they've been very consistent in the show, and since the kwamis default to loud and bratty when they're in Mob Mode (ie, when all the kwamis act in sync instead of in line with their personalities), Roarr was simply a too rambunctious child. An extrovert to the extreme. Their name is very appropriate.

Fluff - This one is pretty established in canon, so I guess I'll just extend my headcanon. Fluff is easily confused and babbles a lot, and I think it's because they're being constantly bombarded with information from so many timelines. Existence is a prison and Fluff just comes across as dumb because all their brain power is overheating from a massive influx of information, so they have nothing else to offer in the Present.

Longg - "Ikari Gozen" makes them out to be a Long Winded Old Man/Woman (depending on the dub lol), but aside from them being pretty polite later, they don't hold on to it. I am. Longg is old as shit and just wants these damn kids to hear out their long ass stories, but they just don't know how to edit because it's been forever since they've been out of the box (a nod to how Dragons are now "mythical"). They don't know how to talk to the youngins anymore.

Sass - Okay, c'mon, we all know Sass. Sass is the only one we know definitively. They're the leader and being level headed and calm is the thing that distinguishes him from the rest. He is mildly cursed like Fluff to recall every remade time line, remembering what happened the other times that needed a second chance, but it's less of a burden than it is for Fluff.

Kaalki - I opted to lean in to her being a Diva, obviously thanks to her attitude in "Startrain". You'd think that'd clash with Max, so the struggle was more about making them work together despite that, so I also gave her a fascination with innovation. She's not very technologically literate, but she's interested in what humans have been able to do, especially when it comes to exploration. But in the end, she's still pretty vain lol.

Ziggy - since they were very upset at how mean Chloe was in "Miracle Queen" as opposed to angry like Stompp and Roarr, I felt Ziggy was probably younger and a bit sensitive. I also leaned into some goat traits, having them eat paper and headbutt Nathaniel.

Xuppu - Xuppu can easily become very annoying, especially in "Destruction" where they're trying to be helpful, but uhhhh...they aren't. So I just stuck with how they were portrayed in their canon debut episode. Like Roarr, Xuppu is very much like A Child, so even in Mob Mode they feel in character - getting into stuff and making a mess.

Orikko - I made them very patient, which you gotta be when your powers are bullshit and you constantly have to give a tutorial on how they work. They could talk all day with their holder trying to find loopholes.

Barkk - So they have two standout moments where they're allowed individuality - in "Furious Fu" and "Risk". In the former, they are stubbornly staying behind to guard the house and the Miracle Box, and in the latter, they're super excited at getting a new holder and getting to "play". So both a guard dog and a puppy. I met in the middle where they DO really want to play, but also want everyone to be as excited as them which takes a little coaxing. Like an Extrovery adopting Introverts.

Daizzi - They're just very sweet. Almost just like Rose but soft spoken. They feel very much but like to focus on the things they like, no matter how simple they are.

Chapter Summary - We are spiraling. Eddie is a rock. A shared best friend is in town for a visit. We've got some angst and bad behavior by our reader. The next chapter will feature more time with the shared best friend, and some important air clearing.

“Do not -” Eddie’s hand is on your reaching hand pinching the head of the arm on the record player that’s currently playing Black Sabbath. You’re not a fan, but you know the sound of Ozzy’s voice from the many years of friendship with Eddie. “- make me listen to your shitty music tonight. I’d rather sit in silence.”

“Don’t be a dick, Munson. Bikini Kill isn’t shitty. You’re just used to listening to that male chauvinistic garbage. You’re brainwashed into hating the girl bands fighting against that way of thinking.” The dig shouldn’t have much sting, it’s one you use a lot. It can be tiring defending your musical tastes all the time, and you know Eddie understands that. 

His response isn’t the normal finger flick to your forehead, though. His face drops, and he lets go of your hand. “Uh, fine. Put it on if you want.” He turns to head back to the kitchen where the boxes of Chinese food are set up on the counter. No fight. He caved, he didn’t set you straight. He didn’t explain that his reasons for not liking the punk riot grrrl bands has nothing to do with their message, which he agrees with. He just lets you win. 

Instead of Bikini Kill’s Demi Rep, you reach for Alice in Chains’ Dirt. Neutral ground. Sliding the disc from its sleeve, you wonder what new mines you might find hiding under the field of your friendship now. What else has changed without you realizing it. You wonder if every single interaction will be like this until eventually you’re both too exhausted to deal with it. And then what? You know what. And then it all fades away.

“So,” you approach Eddie from behind, hands clasped behind your back as if in private prayer, “what treats did you procure from Main Moon this fine evening?” You rest your chin on his arm, sneaking a peek at the inside of the containers as he opens them. “Oooooohhhh, you got spare ribs!”

Eddie laughs and mutters, “can’t disappoint my best girl, can I? Not when she gets that sauce all over her face every time she eats them.” You don’t see it coming before it’s too late. An arm wraps around your neck, and you're in a headlock you can’t twist yourself out of. He caught you off guard in a vulnerable moment, and now Eddie’s got sauce on his finger ready to spread it on your nose.

“Eddie, let me go!” You flail, but Eddie’s bicep remains firm, holding you against his side. 

“Oh, Angel, we’re just getting a head start on the mess you’re gonna make.” Eddie’s laughing while his finger makes a meandering journey from the tip of your nose to your forehead. He even managed to get some on the inside of your left nostril. He releases you, grabbing your arm before you stumble too far and fall, and stands back to admire his handiwork. “Oh, you’re looking very beautiful. You should let me do your makeup more often.”

“You idiot,” you try and fail to keep laughter out of your voice, “I’m not eating the rib you just finger fucked. That one’s yours, Buddy.”

It was that takeout dinner, shared on the couch in your shared living room, that took the edge off. Eddie set the tone. The doubts started to calm. The looks between the two of you might last too long, there might be more excuses made to touch, but the fear that the end of your friendship had arrived dissipated. The routine set in. It was a relief.

When Friday night rolls around, you’re ready for a break. Three days off in a row. A miracle worthy of celebration. Convenient that your favorite spot happens to be below your apartment, and that you’re friends with the bartender. Heavy pours and free booze, and a short commute home. Ronnie’s in town for the weekend, the missing piece in your friendship with Eddie. The third Musketeer. 

“I can’t wait to see the look on his face,” Ronnie is close to your vanity’s mirror with a black eye pencil skating across her lower waterline, “he’s gonna shit his pants.”

“I’m just happy he’s got the rest of the weekend off. I thought I might have to spill the beans to get him to do it.” You’re rifling through your bag of lipsticks looking for the burgundy that’s your favorite. “He’s probably going to fucking murder me when he realizes I’ve been keeping your trip a secret.”

“Yeah, well, fuck him.” Ronnie fluffs her hair a little and adjusts the waist of her jeans, “last time he was supposed to go east to see me, he was neck deep in that waitress. Remember her? The one with the huge tracts of land?”

“How could I forget? She was the reason I didn’t see Eddie for 3 months. I thought he was gonna marry her or something stupid like that.” You laugh a little, ignoring the way your mind tries to compare yourself with the girl that Eddie was obsessed with only 6 months ago. 

“What are we dealing with now? Any ladies I need to fight for his attention? He never tells me shit about his love life, but I definitely got the feeling the last time we talked that there was someone.”

You laugh, and hope that Ronnie doesn’t look too closely at the way your smile sits strangely on your lips, “I don’t know. Where Eddie decides to stick his dick is really not something I think about a whole lot. But I haven’t seen any evidence of a girl in the apartment.”

Ronnie looks at you with her head cocked and says, “Except for you, of course.”

“Oh, sure. Except for me. We both know I don’t count.”

Garland wrapped in Christmas lights runs along the outside counter of the bar. You’re happy to find most of the booths and barstools empty. You were worried that Eddie might be too busy to enjoy the presence of Ronnie when he’s trying to work. It really feels festive, you can smell a hint of cinnamon in the air and wonder if it’s the Christmas ale that they have on tap this time of year. And there’s Eddie, standing in the corner with a Santa hat sitting crooked on his head, and a tall blonde tugging on the end of his hair with a wide grin on her face. 

“Who’s that?” You’ve forgotten that Ronnie is behind you for a second and you jump at the sound of her voice, “they look friendly.”

“I have no idea. Maybe she’s the new bartender,” your voice is quiet, afraid to draw his attention to you. You consider turning on your heel and heading back upstairs, but can’t with Ronnie here. “Let’s, uh, let’s go say hi.”

Eddie turns and catches sight of Ronnie, his oldest friend. His closest friend, next to you. Like a shot, he pushes past the blonde woman standing next to him to bring her into a big bear hug. They’re rocking back and forth and Eddie’s sparkling eyes are shining on you. He mouths, you’re dead, and then kisses Ronnie on the top of her head.

He hugs you next, holding you tight in his arms. It’s something that he hasn’t done in recent days, a familiar thing that reminds you that this is Eddie. Your Eddie. The smell of smoke and Old Spice and the feel of his stubble on your forehead make you forget the way only moments ago you were full of dread. “I can’t believe you didn’t tell you she was coming.”

“She wanted it to be a surprise. She’s been missing you.” you say into his chest, not wanting to break apart from his embrace just yet. You’ve been missing him too, despite the fact that you see him every single day. Eddie pulls away and puts an arm around both you and Ronnie.

“Consider me surprised. I can get out of here early, maybe. It’s dead, and Laney can close up.” Eddie turns his head to call back to the girl that’s made her way back behind the bar, “what do you think? You think you can handle closing alone?”

“Sure, Eddie.” She smiles at him, and turns to the old man sitting at the end of the bar. She rests her elbows on the bar, hip jutted to the side and you catch a glimpse of a line of red fabric - a thong - poking out from the hem of her jeans.

“Laney, huh? She looks like she’s got some talents.” Ronnie shrugs out from under Eddie’s arm and sidles up to a bar stool. You look up and see Eddie averting his eyes from the ample derriere of the bartender in question. You can see his cheeks darken under the Christmas lights.

“She’s an excellent bartender, and we’re lucky to have her. Shut up, and maybe I’ll get the two of you some free drinks.”

Shots on shots on shots. Round 3, and the feeling that this is a mistake has already started to pass. Now it’s just fun. It’s warm. You’re loose. Fear is a distant memory, and your lips move without the barrier of common sense. Eddie’s red rimmed eyes are on the girl behind the bar, again. It’s not in your head, because you see Ronnie shaking her head on the other side of him. 

“One more round for me and my friends, Baby.” Eddie’s low voice hums through his chest, and you see the way his thumb runs across the back of Laney’s hand when he passes her a $20.

“No problem, Eddie.” She answers back, and her tongue flicks against her lips before she turns towards the cash register.

“Subtle.” You bite your words into the moment, causing both friends next to you to turn their attention to you. “Don’t let us stop you. You’ve been eye fucking each other all night. Might as well get it out of your system so you can maybe pay attention to Ronnie for more than 10 seconds.”

“Hey now,” Ronnie reaches around behind Eddie, “we’re good.” She’s squeezing your forearm in an attempt to ground you before things escalate. 

“What the fuck is your problem? You’ve been rude all night for no reason.” Ronnie’s arm drops at Eddie’s words. 

“You’re rude, Eddie. I can’t do this.” The room has started to tilt, and you can feel the words tangling in your head. “I’m going for a walk. Have fun.” You lean over the bar and shout in the direction of the bartender, “Good night, Laney. I hope you and Eddie are very fucking happy together.”

The humiliation rises inside you like a tsunami as you stumble over your feet and down the steps outside of the bar and onto the sidewalk. It’s cold, but you can’t feel it, the whiskey is keeping you warm from the inside out. Tears prick the corners of your eyes, and you wonder if you could sleep in your car tonight. You wonder if there’s somewhere you could go. 

Instead, you circle the block and peek into the frosty windows of the bar. Eddie and Ronnie are getting up from their barstools, and Laney is leaning over the bar to give Eddie a kiss on the cheek. You start up the stairs full of shame, anger, and confusion. You’re going to bed, and you’ll pretend to be asleep before Ronnie crawls in next to you. You know that this time, the light of the morning will only put a spotlight on your bad behavior.

The sunlight sneaks in through the blinds, and your eyes crack open to see the room spinning in front of you. You groan, and an arm wraps around your waist. Ronnie. You see a glass of water and a bottle of aspirin sitting on your bedside table. You sit up a little and take 2 pills with a small sip of water. And another sip. One more, and then it hits you. The things you said last night. 

“Oh no, what did I do?” You ask yourself. And then you notice that the hand around your waist is bigger than it should be. You should have known by the smell of him, that scent that calms you and makes you feel cared for.

Eddie’s fully dressed and laying on top of your blankets, face pressed into the pillow you bought specifically for Ronnie to use while she stayed with the both of you. He must have - what? - been worried about you and passed out while checking on you? Probably. You’re surprised Ronnie didn’t crawl in between the two of you, sharing a bed is something the three of you have done many times. 

You lay back down and push your face into Eddie’s chest. You’ll take his comfort for now. Let the sadness and humiliation leak out of your eyes and onto his cotton shirt. For now, you breathe in the smell of his neck, and let his curls tickle your cheek, thankful for the opportunity to steal this peaceful moment before the questions need to be answered.

My most crack of crack person head cannon is that Shang Qinghua. The great Airplane shooting towards the side. Is a Cuban Chinese man. 🇨🇺🇨🇳

His mom was Cuban and his Dad was Chinese. In his first like. In his second his mom was Chinese and his dad was Cuban. He doesn’t know English but knows Spanish. The biggest reason he’s not outed as a fucking transmigrator early on because of his mumbling is that a lot of it is in Spanish. The entirety of the Who’s your daddy? Airplane monologue is in Spanish but he says the last line in Chinese.

In my head Shang Qinghua, Su Xiyan, and Binghe are the only characters with curly hair. AAAAAAND because the system fills with Plot holes I believe that Biological. Shang Qinghua is Su Xiyan brother through their father. Not being raised together. Kinda like Shang Qinghua’s Father Secret family. (This circles back stay with me). She gives birth to Luo Binghe who is picked up by the old washer woman.

WHO IS Shang Qinghua’s Mother. And because of her Ex Husband with curly hair teaching her new cultural foods she later teaches both her sons this food. Shang Qinghua and later Luo Binghe. and so know NO ONE CAN MAKE A CUBANO OR PERNI LIKE SHANG QINGUA AND LUO BINGHE!! They can make fucking CUBAN FOOD!! It’s also why these two canonically too the average svsss civilian got the head disciple position because of their ability to cook.

Shang Qinghua is a great cook on the level of Luo Binghe because they have the same teacher and I REFUSE. To believe otherwise.

- Tell me you don’t see this vision. Luo Binghe coming to pick up his Shizun after he has a meeting with Mobei Jun’s rat. Your Shizun walks out with a little Box of fucking Pan con Lechón that’s the name your Mother use to call it at least. You haven’t seen anybody now or since that can cook that food. First you get sad and are about to cry because another man cooked for Shizun. Then your mind goes too how is the fastest way I kill the rat without upsetting Shizun. And only then do you pause. IS THAT FUCKING PAN CON LECHÓN!!

- Also Mobei Jun knowing a surprising amount of Spanish just not when it’s spoken very quickly. Well he knows Shang Qinghua’s broken Spanderin. So he knows quite a bit. But like also not a miracle worker if Shang Qinghua talks any faster then normal he cannot understand a thing.

Sometimes trying to know Billy felt like trying to know the night sky.

There was something vast and impassive, some would say scary about his countenance. The certain way that he stood, jaw turned up, defiant in the face of anything the world threw at him. Yet there was also something undeniably kind about him simultaneously, a certain beauty that Steve had only previously attributed to stars. Gorgeous but utterly unattainable.

Yet, this unrestrained glorious presence had chosen him. Steven Joshua Harrington.

Steve was not a vast, beautiful star. Steve was a college dropout with a smoking problem he wasn’t ready to confront yet and a beard he was yet to learn how to manage, even after 2 and a half years on testosterone. He was ordinary. In fact not even that.

Steve Harrington was subpar.

Billy didn’t believe that for some goddamn reason. He told Steve everyday that he was the light of Billy’s life, that everything before him had just seemed bland and mundane.

Billy called Steve a miracle. Steve wished he could believe him.

They were sitting legs askew on the couch, eating Chinese takeout when Steve finally decided to broach the subject. He poked at Billy’s hair with the beef and broccoli box, making Billy crinkle his nose. He was so cute.

“Soooooooooo” Steve tried, aiming for somewhat casual “why did you start dating me again?”

Billy stared at him like he’d grown a second head and shoved another mouthful of noodles into his mouth before answering. As was usual, he slightly obnoxiously smacked his mouth together before answering.

“Well” he responded, stealing even more of Steves meal “when I first saw you, you’d managed to get your foot stuck in a trash can and I just thought, that man is my future husband.”

Steve threw a cushion at him.

“Ok ok.” He held his hands up, tone more serious this time “ I genuinely have not met a kinder person than you, who puts up with my unmitigated bullshit twenty four hours of the day and is still willing to kiss me to sleep at night. You’re kind of perfect Steve, if bitchy sometimes, and I only want to be good enough for you.

Trying not tear up at that was a challenge of Sisyphusian proportions but Steve did his best. Billy had gone back to contentedly watching die hard but he raised his arm higher to snuggle into his side.

Brushing his teeth that night, still trying to trim his beard into a presentable shape too, the word perfect kept bouncing around in Steves mind. The idea that Steve could be perfect to Billy seemed preposterous but maybe it could have a ring of truth to it. Someday.

Because if Billy, who admittedly was occasionally very gross and had a hell of a temper, could find Steve perfect, maybe anything was possible.

Maybe a star could love him after all.

(just let me have this one SE) -vincent's cloak/cape and headband are not fabric, they are some kind of organic extension of himself, that he has control over. though sometimes the cloak just does things and vincent is unconscious of it, like a cat twitching its tail -because of his circulation issues, due to his heart being replaced with protomateria, vincent has severe orthostatic hypotension (stand-up dizzies). cid is used to just catching him as he pitches over and moving on, without remarking on it -vincent is a mass of scars and mutilations (replaced parts, missing organs, etc.) which is why he covers his body entirely from the neck down with all that leather armor and gloves. -cid is a huge fan of vincent's monster hand because it has claws and he loves back scratches

Hello! I've been reading through all your posts so far and even though I am personally an ML fan and not a salter, I love media analysis and I'm sad that there isn't much of them in the fandom. There are directions in the show that I'm not satisfied with and I'm currently working on a rewrite for a future comic.

I'm curious about your ideas and takes on how you would personally rewrite ML, right now one of my issues is figuring out how the Peacock Miraculous works bcuz of sentimonsters. How would you write them?

I'm glad that you're enjoying my stuff! I label it all as salt because - as best I can tell - this fandom defines that as anything even slightly negative, but my goal is more analysis and discussion than angry ranting. Talking about what a piece of media did wrong and how you would improve it is a fantastic way to improve your own writing. It's why I got into media analysis in the first place!

Funnily enough, I do have a massive rewrite out there somewhere on AO3, so I DO have thought about how to handle sentimonsters. Or, more specifically, I've thought about how to handle the peacock. I'll give those first, then circle back to sentis.

In my humble opinion, the idea of sentimonsters should be scrapped for the following reasons, all of which existed long before the sentitheory was even on my radar:

Sentimonsters are too derivative. They feel like akuma clones and not a unique power. You can tell that the power was only created because they wanted/needed a power that would let the peacock be used at a distance the same way the butterfly is even though no other miraculous works this way.

If you want to do a slavery plot, the kwamis are right there being enslaved. You don't need to add human-looking slaves to the mix. Especially given that many of those human-looking slaves are apparently fine to kill off? Just, the ethics around the way the show does sentimonsters will always make me feel icky. Meanwhile the kwamis don't have the awkward element of being magical constructs that were made to serve. They were a free people before the miraculous. The one way I've played with using Felix is as a kwamis freedom fighter instead of a senti one.

Sentimonsters have too nebulous of a lore. In what way are they emotions brought to life? Outside of Feast, emotions don't seem to effect them at all. Nooroo's powers feel far more emotion based than Dusuu's and it bothers me.

There's also the fact that one of the show's biggest problems is character bloat. No writer alive can write a satisfying story that features a team of 36 characters! (18 humans + 18 kwamis) This is why the kwamis act as a hive mind once Marinette becomes the Guardian. You just can't write that many characters into a scene and keep their personalities straight, so they're now a single unit even though it makes Sass and Wayzz feel out of character.

Give all of that and the way the miracle box is kinda... well, it feels a little too cultural appropriation-ish for my tastes. I won't go on a full rant here, but to give two highlights: the zodiac miraculous don't seem to have a thing to do with the real Chinese zodiac and a box based on Chinese lore would NOT use a black cat for the symbol of bad luck. Black cats being bad luck is relatively modern European lore. In other words, the Chinese stuff is just there for ascetics and not actually representative of Chinese culture, so I had no moral issues scrapping the miracle box and making a much smaller version and neither should you if you're so inclined!

The thing about lore is that it only matters as much as the show makes it matter and, outside of a few key miraculous, I really do think you can change them without most readers caring because of how little the powers actually matter to the show's lore. Like they have completely scrapped the idea of making a person match their miraculous even though that was supposedly a big thing back in season two. This is extra true because it took us so long to learn all the powers in canon, so there are a lot of fics that pre-date the canon reveal and do different things.

But if you want to keep sentimonsters to be more canon accurate, I would consider all of the following as options or things to keep in mind. Feel free to use all or none of them as I'm probably never touching this plot and, if I do, it will doubtless be different from whatever you do:

Doing something to make the difference between valid and non-valid sentimonsters abundantly clear and not just "the creator decides who is valid" OR just don't make any sentimonster valid and have Emilie have used the miraculous out of a desire to help people because she didn't know it would kill her

Have Gabriel be more conflicted about the use of sentimonsters since, you know, his kid is one and Adrien, Felix, and Kagami are the only sentimonsters he dealt with for many, many years

Consider having Nathalie make one sentimonster (maybe even present it as her own child) in order to help Gabriel so it's not a slew of akuma 2.0 on the battlefield. Instead its someone at the school looking for Ladybug and Chat Noir after the villains realize that they're teenagers. (This could be a good way to use Lila and make her powers make sense)

Redo Dusuu's Force or make the tie between sentimonsters and emotions more clear. Like Felix is made from jealousy and Adrien is made from love so that's the source of their conflict

Use Felix as a third, morally neutral party who only cares about sentimonsters and have him act toward those goals like we all thought he was going to after season five. Magneto from X-men should be your template for him not whatever canon did.

Consider letting Kagami know from the start and let her know that she and Adrien are meant to be, but she's not allowed to tell him the truth or something. If you don't go that route then, at the very least, have her finding out be a big deal for her relationship with her mother.

Go all in with Adrien's commands. Gabriel wants Adrien to date Kagami? He's going to date Kagami. None of this Y-7 undo button BS. Go big or go home.

Give the sentimonsters a way to break free. That's what the power of love is supposed to be about. You could go super cheesy with this if you combined it with Adrien's source emotion being love. The literal love child using the thing that made him to overcome what he was made to be to be what he wants to be sounds very fun to me.

Consider giving the senti kids superpowers. It's honestly kinda weird how relatively normal they are. Like, sure, Felix is supposed to be super smart, but we only know that from his Wikipedia and that's about it.

I could go on, but that's a lot, so we'll stop here. Feel free to send additional asks or message me. I have many, many thoughts about how to fix canon while trying to stay true to the core ideas of the story. Or, at least, the things I consider to be the core. I legitimately enjoy the adaption process and think the fun of fanfiction is largely trying to fit alternate takes on canon into the base framework so it still appeals to fans of the source.

"Miss Marinette how do you know of the kwamii, especially those two?" Alfred questioned and she curled a bit under his gaze.

"I… Paon." She looked up at him, but averted her eyes towards Jay, but he was staring at both herself and Alfred. "August 24th 1944."

She looked up, the words she was speaking didn’t seem like her own. But she knew them all the same. Alfred seemed to pale.

"How do you know that?" He staggered slightly, catching himself on the back of a couch.

"It’s when they were lost." She shrugged, the story that Fu passed to her easily came to her mind, because it wasn’t her memory but Fu’s. (Guardians pass memories along to the next so they wouldn’t repeat the same mistakes.)

"I am so lost, Alfie?" Dick rose and tried to get the older man to talk.

"You are much to young."

"Ha." She snorted. "And you think I didn’t tell Fu that."

She crossed her arms.

"Where are they? You said they were lost, how? I can’t seem to remember." Dick had gotten him to sit down but his every question sent pangs through her heart.

"They have been found, and are safe." She was still fiddling with her ring.

"The miraculous of the black cat." Alfred spoke so certainly that it forced her to look up, away from the the kwamii she had drawn. "Where is he? He can come out, we…"

He looked around at the boys but stopped when his eyes landed on her. Silent tears rushed her face, all the words she has been wanting to share choked her.

Tikki, she wishes she was still here but that will never happen. Plagg, she didn’t meet often but he really did care about her, the other kwamii, and especially Chat Noir. Chat Noir has it worse she has told herself constantly. More than likely Plagg was his friend too and then overnight without warning he was gone, no way to contact her, and not knowing why.

"Nettie…" Jay stepped towards her, quickly glancing between her and Alfred, stopping in his tracks. "What’s going on?"

"They’re gone." She finally choked out. "I got the grimore, Nooroo, and even Dusuu back, but… I miss them."

"What did you do?" Alfred dropped down onto the floor and lifted her chin.

"I won the war in Paris."

"What war?" Dick she thinks spoke but her eyes were on Alfred, his aura calming her.

She pulled out her phone and quickly searched it, turning the device towards the others.

"What is this!" A voice she wasn’t expecting practically growled, Bruce was standing in the room, reading over Dick’s shoulder.

"You made a wish?"

The question wasn’t accusatory, but she flinched. "No, but it might have hurt less if I did." She finally looked away from the group.

"Marinette, who are you?" Alfred asked her, she looked up and something clicked a flash of dark blue light emulated from him. Pinned on his lapel was none other than the miraculous of the peacock. The man tenderly touched the broach as if it was going to disappear forever, she knew she could trust him, so with that she took a breath.

"I am, Marinette Dupain-Cheng, Holder of the miraculous of the ladybug, the heroine of Paris, Ladybug, and the guardian of the Chinese zodiac Box of Miracles." She addressed resolutely, her conviction and pride fueled every word, while understanding seemed to flood Alfred’s features.

"If I had known… " Alfred whispered, looking at her like the pieces fell into place.

"Are you saying this happened, that children fought this maniac. Why not ask for help, there are other heroes in Paris, even the Justice League could have sent reinforcements." Bruce seemed to seethe.

"It’s not like I was given a choice, the other heroes left or quit, besides the Justice League knew about it and did nothing." She became defensive, even if she felt she could trust them, Bruce’s tone rubbed her the wrong way. She started this fight at the tender age of 11. Fought a magical war while trying to not feel anything for 3 years. Endured bullying and heartbreak for just as long, but couldn’t let herself feel it. So yes she is angry when someone she barely knows is offering ‘solutions’ when she had exhausted them long ago.

She didn’t even notice how quiet the room had gotten, but was staring at the man who offended her character. She was a child when all this started, of course she tried, but why, why would he be so mad. That is what she didn’t understand.

"Master Bruce calm yourself!" Alfred scolded the other adult in the room. (Who was making a straight beeline towards the grandfather clock to his right.)

"It doesn’t matter anymore, it’s over." She sighed finally deflating, knowing that anything done now won’t change anything.

"Miss Marinette, that is not nothing." Alfred stood and faced her.

"That is not something you should have had to do alone."

"I wasn’t, I had a partner." She mumbled as if it would change the minds of the adults.

"You said you were the holder of the ladybug miraculous, but you are wearing the miraculous of the black cat. Did you wield both?" She was asked by Alfred who seemed to know the most.

"I did a few times, but I wasn’t Plagg’s cat, I was Tikki’s. My partner was Chat Noir, he was the holder of the black cat."

"What happened to him?"

"I don’t know?" She shrugged. She took off the ring and started tracing the face of the ring. "Probably worried, Hawkmoth, Plagg, Ladybug, and Chat Noir disappeared without warning from his life. Black cats really are bad luck."

"Nettie, you’re a hero". Jay was now right in front of her, tentatively he reached out and took her hands.

"Was… the kwamii don’t exist in this universe, not anymore."

"My dear." Alfred placed a hand on the top of her head. "This proves they still can. That they are more of the metaphysical than before."

He tapped the broach before pointing to the ring in her hands before noticing her earrings.

"Why don’t you both go to bed, it’s getting late, and it’s a school night." Bruce finally spoke again. He was still angry, yet she could tell his anger wasn’t towards her. Actually she couldn’t tell who he was angry at, but she knows he is.

"Okay." Mari palmed the last tears from her eyes as Jay stood up and pulled her from the room.

"Alfred tell us all you can." Master Bruce marched down the steps into the cave.

Master Dick and himself followed. "I don’t know what exactly happened to her, but the miraculous, I may be able to shed some light on."

"If my math is correct she was eleven when all of that started. B she was a child." Master Dick was horrified.

Although he went through similar event he was older, the boy was only 13 at the time of his parents accident after all. Master Bruce was also young during his parents death, and although he became the Bat it wasn’t until he was and adult.

"Why did no one take it seriously?" He was scanning all calls to the Justice league, until a call log from Paris showed on the screen marked from two and a half years ago.

‘You’ve reached the Justice League, how can we help?’ A bored voice, the log said Booster Gold, answered the phone with a yawn.

‘Hello! Please Paris needs adult heroes, all the older heroes left and we can’t keep this up!’ A young female voice started to rush their words.

‘I’ve told you before, kid, nothing has happened in Paris. Stop prank calling. This line is only for actual emergencies that require actual heroes.’ Booster Gold seemed to wave the girl off. ‘Don’t call again.’

They continued through the log, some earlier calls were looked into but since nothing seemed to be proven they dropped the inquiry. If what they saw from the site the Ladyblog it was no wonder. All damage all lives taken were brought back in pristine condition. Ladybug, Marinette, and who she called Chat Noir were the primary heroes for the past three years. Few other heroes would aid them, which he recognized the miraculous that they used.

"We can’t do anything about this can we." Master Jason had come down into the cave. "She’s asleep."

"The past is past, unfortunately." Master Bruce dragged his hands down his face. "Besides these children are practically meta, or even magic users, right?"

"Yes. But don’t forget these children grew into child soldiers and more than likely they could not trust anyone with this pressure. If Miss Marinette’s emotional collapse is any indication." Alfred supplied.

"Jay go to bed Dick and I will go on patrol."

"But."

"Jason." Bruce snapped at the boy.

"Fine…" The child surrendered, all his fight leaving him at Bruce’s words. The boy trudged up the steps.

"Bruce he’s worried for his friend! Can’t you see that." Master Dick slammed his hands on the desk in front of him.

"She’s a meta Dick."

"She is a child."

"That doesn’t change facts." Bruce spun around to face his elder ward.

"You work with aliens, metas, even magic users, and so do I. Our teams are made up by them, so what’s the difference." Master Bruce didn’t say anything, making the young man even angrier. "Figure it out Bruce." Dick started to walk away, before turning back. "Don’t call until you do."

He left without another word.

"Master Bruce."

OMORI MLB AU MASTERPOST (might change)

What is the OMORI MLB AU?

It is an alternative universe I've created as a joke, but it slowly turned into a legitimate AU of mine where Sunny and Basil from the video game OMORI are superheroes, specifically Ladybug and Chat Noir from the TV show Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir.

What is the setting?

It takes place in Paris, at the same time as the Miraculous Origin episode. But instead of Marinette and Adrien, the heroes are Sunny and Basil. Master Fu was in a hurry, you see... He had to choose a new guardian for the Miracle Box, and happened to stumble across a male nurse. Sunny and Basil go to a private school, as well as the Faraway kids, except here they're french and Parisian. It would be a school that's similar to the one in the Miraculous movie; very fancy.

Sunny's name isn't "Sunny"?

No, his full name is Kiyomu Fua Suzuki! He is French and Chinese (mom's side) and Japanese (dad's side). Very unusual combo. Sunny is a nickname.

What are the names of the heroes?

Ladybug for Sunny (He just chose the name of the animal his miraculous is tied to) and Catmint for Basil (He wanted to be called Stranger but the public just unanimously chose to call him Catmint so it stuck)

Thankfully, it becomes more bearable for Basil as soon as he becomes friends with Sunny. ..And yes they'll get miraculouses Omori is a sentibeing! It was decided in this post that Omori's amok should be a rubber bracelet.

What is Catmint|Basil and Ladybug|Sunny's dynamic?

Sunny and Basil are best friends, but Basil has a crush on Sunny. Ladybug and Catmint are colleagues, but Ladybug has a crush on Catmint. By extension, Catmint has a crush on Sunny and vice-versa (see that funny date drawing)
