The Art Of Murder headcanon thing?

The dog being revealed with mud and paper on him, while Sousuke is also mud covered. Leading the gang to believe he is the murderer.

The truth being revealed that he actually hitches a ride from the dog every night when he's first awake. He goes to the backyard where he practices his epic monologue he's going to give to the man who murdered his family. That night OC was "murdered" he got muddy. And when he returned inside and tried to wash it off, he got water on Pip as she was coming out of the book. The paper on the dogs paw was from the paper scraps Sousuke uses to lure the dog to the table so he can drop down.

Do you guys think that Pip will ever discover the characters come to life??

I know realistically she probably won't but it would be a fun plot line to explore, like she's clearly doesn't have many friends (seen when she thanks them for being her friends) and the praise could really do her some good. Like I think it would really help out everyone, she reassures them she won't forget them and they tell her how good of an artist she is and how to open up to people.

Ever heard of The Art of Murder?

...Nope, not that one.

It's a new indie animation pilot that recently released on YouTube.

There's a sweet, beautiful 2D princess named Almond Blossom , called Albie for short;

An Adventure Time parody cartoon character named Winn, who comes with both a fun catchphrase AND a huge, delicious cupcake;

A Naruto -esque anime hero dude named Sousuke, who only ever speaks in dramatic anime sentences,exclusively in Japanese.

There's OC ...he is an OC. He might be dead, only time will tell...

Aaaand last but not least, a dating sim character named Giorgio, my personal favorite! A tall ,gorgeous detective,with golden hair, some sorta sexy detective outfit, striking blue eyes, and a smile that will melt your heart and make you wish you could play the game he's featured in.

Do any of you think OC is actually dead??? Like is ripping a page out of the book equivalent to killing a character or is OC still alive because I think OC is still alive like the ending would be discovering that infact OC has been alive all along. What if Pip pinned them up somewhere??

Anyways just a random thought cause the series doesn't feel like the type to murder a character fully yknow like OCs probably just chilling somewhere lost af but still alive.

The Art of Murder, who did it? My theory

spoilers below the cut in case you haven't seen the pilot yet

Pip ripped out the page when she couldn't draw the arm right. And also put the whole book in there afterwards. So then the dog ripped up the loose page BC dogs dig through the garbage. They have water and mud on them bc the dog had mud on them and water is the slobber. The pip felt bad and grabbed the book out of the garbage but the page of OC was unsalvageable.

One thing I'm curious about is how do the characters know that them not being drawn anymore means they'll "die" or at least stop coming to life every night? Have there been other characters in the past that stopped getting drawn?

It would make sense since at least two out of the four are pretty clearly from sources geared towards older kids/teens (Giorgo and Sosuke). Winn is implied to be from something more recent/still airing. And even Albie says that a sequel to the movie she's from came out at least somewhat recently since she's still marveling at the new dress and the dolls sold because of it. But at the same time Winn says that there hasn't been a new character in a really long time. Then again, she's kinda shown to over exaggerate things/be the most childish.

There's also the fact that they all talk about how Pip is growing as an artist, so I wonder if her improving at art correlates to them coming alive in some way? Like maybe they only started coming alive when they were recognizable as their intended appearance or something. If that's not the case though it could open the doors for some really funny flashback scenes with whoever was around at the time (whether that be characters Pip no longer draws, just our current four in the past, or a mix) being drawn as stick figures or with really wonky proportions. And what happens if Pip draws OC again? Will they remember what happened before the murder? We know they aren't aware of the surroundings while "asleep" in the sketchbook but it would kind of be hilarious if the murderer just completely failed at their mission because OC got drawn again.
