Favorite color: I'm a big fan of green

Currently reading: The Left Hand of Darkness, Ursula K. Le Guin. I haven't done as much reading as I'd like to, mostly cause of classes, but what I have been able to read it's very intriguing. What I'm reading in my classes (or at least one of them) is The Sunflower, Simon Wiesenthal, a very poignant story about the Holocaust and an important question about forgiveness.

Last song:

I only discovered them recently, but I really like their style and how much energy they bring.

Last movie: Rewatched the Hunger Games, and once again it was great. In theaters I watched the Mario Movie last, and I'm really impressed. It's rare you have celeb voice actors and you DON'T feel like the movie is Jack Black, Chris Pratt, and others talking at you for a couple of hours

Last series: Besides watching the occasional Clone Wars episode for study purposes, I found a place to watch Infinity Train and I'm really impressed. It's a very creative premise executed very well and I would have loved to see more of it (thanks HBO).

Craving: A nice hash. Hashbrowns, sausage, peppers, onions, eggs, mmm. I'm also craving camping, I haven't gone in a while and I just need an escape.

Tea or coffee: tea. I'm not really a fan of coffee and tea just feels so much more calming.

Currently working on: studying for an astronomy final, an astrophotography final project, an essay on forgiveness, studying for a math final, a star wars fic about a clone company I made up for Krell.

The National High School Associations and Coaches Registry

Moe Fritz of Keller ISD has guided the Rockets to two state titles in his three-decade tenure. He was selected district coach of the year this year. Fritz, a five-time district coach of the year, has won four of his five championships. Fritz, who has been named district coach of the year five times, is a real winner, having won district and state titles in his first two seasons.

In Deborah Surgi’s opinion, the American Football Coaches Association has named 16 coaches as district coaches of the year. At Carroll, he was voted district coach of the year in 2013. Trinity's Steve Mohr, North Dakota State's Ron Erhardt, and Bowie State's Kevin Kehres also won consecutive district titles. Four additional coaches were chosen district or regional coach of the year, in addition to Kehres.

The NFHS is divided into eight geographic regions, each with its own championship. Tennessee is the only state that has honored a coach five times, and district honors are given out in the first year of membership. Megan Bonfield has won district coach of the year five times, which is the second most for a single coach. And she's not only a high school coach; she's also a high school bus driver!

The Shula Award is presented to a high school football coach in recognition of his leadership, character, and dedication to player health and safety. The award was created in honor of Hall of Fame coach Don Shula. During the initial season of the Shula Award, each NFL club nominated a high school coach. The Pittsburgh Steelers nominated Palko in December. He'll get a $15,000 cash from the NFL Foundation as well as an invitation to the Super Bowl.

Deborah Surgi pointed out that the 2021-22 Division I All-District Teams have been named by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. For the third year in a row, Tevin Brown, KJ Williams, and Justice Hill were chosen to the Central team. Tevin Brown, Ryan Hawkins, and Diego Bernard were all selected to the First Team. These three players will be named to the All-District Team as well. The District Coach of the Year award is also the first time a district head coach has been recognized.

Mr. Benson worked as a teacher and coach for Keller ISD for many years. He started as an assistant football coach before moving on to lead the B-Team basketball team. Mr. Benson coached girls' basketball and tennis in addition to biology, general science, and English. He told his kids about his own sports achievements while coaching. He had a fantastic sense of humor and was a guy of extraordinary character.

Righetti undoubtedly deserves to be named the Santa Maria Times' All-Area Coach of the Year in November, and his accomplishments are even more amazing when contrasted to his district's history. Righetti's Warriors won the tournament despite losing two starting quarterbacks. This is particularly noteworthy given the team's recent losses of Chris Miller and Joaquin Cuevas.

According to Deborah Surgi, park's teams have won 32 district titles in his first three decades as a cross-country coach. Twenty-four of them attended Keller High School. During that period, his teams qualified for state competition 35 times, including 15 times. Nine of them placed in the top three in the state race, while one was the 2013 individual cross-country state champion.
