CODE GEASS LOST STORIES CHAPTER 2 STORY SUMMARY (COMPLETE)

As the story itself nearly same as Code Geass anime, I only write the different scene than anime from other character PoV (it include other franchise but never get animated)

all "status" below are finished and chapter 3 will continue on other post. Chapter 1 and 1.5 can be seen from here

Schnee and Red

Character from Code Geass : Lancelot and Guren manga, those two served KoR Suzaku under Schneizel's order. In chapter 2 what they're doing mostly support Suzaku on battlefield. Their last scene is joined Second Tokyo Settlement war

Status : Alive but nothing heard after he cut his loyalty on Suzaku after FLEIJA explosion since he was thought Suzaku is a man of integrity + FLEIJA killed Red (Schnee) & Die in FLEIJA explosion while searching info on Suzaku (Red)

Benio & Savitri

Same Lancelot and Guren manga, Benio served under Kallen's zero squad, she contribute a lot at China Federation war with her new KMF. Savitri work under Lakhsata and friend of Benio, she's the one keep in check on Benio and Disel's KMF so yeah those three always had some small convo when meets.

After assault (genoside) at Geass Cult, witnessing the incident and having withdraw order from Kinoshita, Benio resolve wavered and want to talk about that incident to Savitri eventhough it should be a secret to others. They noticed by Rolo and almost get killed if Lelouch isn't come. So to save them (as he won't let Shirley incident happen again), he decided to make them forget all about Black Knight by putting geass on them

In chapter 15, it shows Benio guide someone (Guilford) to Cornelia hospital room

Status : Alive but can't remember anything being Black Knight member and live as normal commoner at Horai island (Benio) and back to her loner Black Knight enginner (Savitri)

Sapphire

Original character from Lost Stories, leader of Blue Barons, groups who hunt Black Knight at chapter 1.5. As she failed capture Black Knight, she resigned herself from Blue Barons and work under her close friend, Guilford. She mostly appear anywhere Guilford there (as his personal mental support maybe lol) but after keep meets a mysterious knightmare at every war and kill anyone on sight (Kali), she focused on searching the pilot and found the culpit along with kidnapped Disel (that's Tokyo Settlement war time)

While around Area 11 last battle, she and Claudio keep arranging things in Tokyo settlement and receive a letter from Disel. It written about Joanna (Kali secretary) location but when they go there, she's already dead by suicide.

Status : alive and good, after saving Disel she's helping administration after Tokyo Settlement war and still same

Claudio

Yeah, you're not read this wrong (lol) this man have more role on Lost Stories. At chapter 1, he helped Disel entered Britannian military while different than anime version, at chapter 2 he joined Sapphire on mysterious knightmare hunting

Status : Same as Sapphire

Marrybell mel Britannia

Character from Oz the Reflection, leader of Glinda Knight, at chapter 2 she had little appearance and just an aftermath released from her geass. She appear before second Tokyo Settlement war with her knight, Oldrin and Glinda Knight member who want to leave her after things happened at area 24.

Status : Alive and join Emperor Lelouch forces willingly as she's the only one who didn't affected by his geass and her past nearly similar to him.

Oldrin

Marybell former knight, after depart from her, she and Glinda Knight joined under knight of nine Nonette. Her new Glinda Knight contribute in second Tokyo Settlement war by locating and destroy Gefjun distruber there.

Status : Alive, now joining forces with Nonette and other Glinda Knight as Schneizel forces

Disel PoV (include Claris, Kali, Anone)

As anyone read ENG version know, they're joined Black Knight at first only to become Britannian spy later. At chapter 2 part 1, without having any memories erase she cameback to Ashford academy only to be shocked seeing everything there changed. Even Lelouch live happily ever after (lol) with his fake brother Rolo. Knowing something weird, they followed Lelouch and Rolo to Babel Tower, only to meet CC and Kallen & Lelouch memories comeback along with Disel knowing a snipet of geass (they never know it's geass, just a supernatural power)

PS : after that Disel never comeback there, not even once for now...

Knowing Disel still work at army, Lelouch asked them to become his spy again which is the result of Black Knight member jail release a success.

During attack on Nunnally, Disel join the battle as Britannian forces along with Schee Red. At middle of war, usual mysterious knightmare suddenly appear and battling against Disel again which resulting them being MIA.

Using MIA status, they gathered info about that mysterious knightmare and found out it's their aunt, Kali. Hearing her reasons and found out they had a sister yups in the end it's yandere sisterly things lol, they comeback as Black Knight member again to get revenge on her and Britania. They contribute at Chinese Federation war with new knightmare along with Benio.

Disel new knightmare

It's kinda scary how flat Disel emotion here, they didn't show any emotion when hearing Darlton and Shirley died. Darlton basically their senior while they feels pretty close with Shirley (if I remember they just said "oh I see..." wow bro lol)

The mysterious knightmare appear again at Geass Cult war, resulting Disel kidnapped by her. In there, they found their mother body (yups Kali preserve her body...) and know she would do the same to them. So it's Disel vs Kali again with Sapphire Claudio help resulting Kali get arrested and Disel brought to infirmary.

Claris meet them and shocked knowing they still alive. Those two explain their current situation (FLEIJA war and Kali) and tell her that they need to help their friend (Lelouch). Bid their farewell, Claris gave her team knightmare creation Pendulum to her.

Disel help Lelouch Rolo running away from Black Knight after Zero reveal.

After get arrested, unknown how Kali run away and killed 50 military men + Claris

While Lelouch come across with Charles, Disel fight Bismarck Monica on knightmare battle and ended with a stalemate.

When Charles activate geass all over the world, Disel connected with C's world and meet Anone for first time. They noted that Anone looks similar with Hina (girl from Shinjuku Ghetto) and Rina (Disel's sister). She said only using a face they want to see and that place are for not living one which shocked them knowing Rina already gone.

now onto scary part Anone said their family killed by Kali and eat Vaniella (their mother) and Rina's heart yeah literally. So Disel saw the actual scene get traumatized and forgot all about it (really, can't blame them for this...)

It turn out Disel having a survivor guilt and keep blaming themself. So Anone, having Hina Rina memories tells them "it's okay, we're happy having you before dying so don't blame yourself" and finally having a peace

Knowing all that, they decide to make world a better tomorrow for anyone and join forces with Emperor Lelouch.

Right after Disel make their exit from C's world, there's indication Claris could made her appearance on Anone but she refuse (which is indication that she's already dead...)

Not long after Lelouch killed Charles, Disel know Claris situation and vow to get their revenge on Kali. They even mentioned that they will abandon their post if she came searching them.

There's so many small event after emperor Lelouch ascend to before KoR assault. One of them is Suzaku using white Vincent to clean up some rebels since Albion still not done at that time.

Then KoR members became Schneizel subordinate, Nonette is tasked to guard him which explain her group isn't there on KoR battle with Suzaku. Nonette and Glinda knight are stuck between can't agreeing with the way Lelouch dethrone Charles and Schneizel genocide war with fleija so Glinda knight kinda slack off like letting Sayoko get away (lol)

Marybell join Lelouch Britannian forces willingly. Her new costume kinda scary to my liking (royal family + soldier costume) and yeah she still alive for now

And (I'm suprise) Marika is still alive. She's one of four Bradley's knight which swiftly killed by Kallen on Tokyo settlement battle. Now she's joining Nonette's Glinda Knight (if you can't remember her, she's the only one knight getting a lewd card for this game lol)

Oldrin and Glinda Knight save Nunnally and Sayoko from FLEIJA explosion and know FLEIJA threat firsthandly which is the reason they didn't really agreeing on Schneizel ways

Kali join Area 11 last battle as standalone forces.

Kali flashback, telling some useful info like she's ex Britannian knight under Charles main forces and Marianne's friend. After telling her about her sister keep lying to her, Marianne telling her Charles immortal plan and the world without any lies then ask her to join their causes. After Marianne died, she move around area 11 as Charles personal unit to find ancient relics for their plan. The reasons she kill Vaniella and Rina is it doesn't matter if the immortal world plan came true (same like Charles Marianne)

Disel vs Kali. In the end Disel kill her, opened her hatch then shoot her with gun (feels like Roze anime style). After Lelouch announce his victory, Disel suddenly gone and last part closed with Disel comeback to school.

In the end of credits, there's kind of an afterlife scene with CC voices. I think it telling about the possibility Lelouch of Ressurection movie later.

Status : Disel won against Kali in one on one battle (Disel & Kali) Dead (Claris)

PS : If anyone asked me how I, someone live outside Japan know Oz Reflection and Lancelot Guren manga stories, the answer is Code Geass Wiki (lol) ! They're pretty up to date, even they're already covering some part of lost stories and roze anime too~

I kinda like Roze anime but the conclusion feels too forced to me. Too bad they killed Ash, that scene indirectly tells there's something can't be avoided even with "live" geass but it doesn't feels right to compare Ash with Suzaku. In first place their KMF spec already different (lol)

And there's info ENG version will close for good at Aug 28 so yeah my bad on them. ENG players won't taste damocles KMF 42 cost~

(And me too since I don't read any event stories on JP)

My conclusion : Most new character insert are good here but Kali join force with Charles gimmick feels too forced for me and in the end we never knew anything about Joanna.

Difference being that in Wicked, Glinda (the 'realist') is seen more in the right and in Code Geass, Lelouch (the 'revolutionary') is seen more in the right.

The context of the two planned deaths is very different - one is basically a cover up, to affirm the previous system while Oz still sees Elphaba as evil and the other is to subvert the system entirely

Wicked being affected by Bush era politics is well documented so the Realist being more in the right and the one who actually "gets stuff done" is a lot more reflective of that political mood. The writers thought change from inside the system was the correct way to go about things

Code Geass is a japanese story about Britain forcibly colonising and taking over Japan ... so the story ends with saying "go revolution" because obviously. The work from inside the system guy is clearly wrong (and I can't remember many times the narrative outwardly reinforces his worldview with any results)

Why Less is More when it comes to mech-series casts in SRW

One of the interesting things I���m sure most people have noticed about the series roster for Super Robot Wars Y so far is just how small it is compared to other entries in the franchise. At just eight entries, it’s a full half the roster of Super Robot Wars 30, and that’s with specifically omitting 30’s titles that were just adding a specific mech or two (like how the original Mobile Suit Gundam is represented only by the RX-78 being an available mech for a post-CCA Amuro to pilot), the various crossover appearances of previous SRW Original Generation characters added in free updates, or the shows added via DLC and Expansions. If we include 30’s full roster, then Y’s entries so far don’t even hit a FIFTH of that.

Now obviously it sounds like we’re getting at least a few more entries in Y in addition to what’s been announced at the moment. But again, we would need to get double the number of shows announced so far before Y got to only just as many entries as 30 had.

And that’s not accounting for how at least some of those additional titles are almost certainly likewise going to be ‘mech only’ entries, like how we might get Macross 7 or Macross Frontier making an appearance just in the form of unlockable units. Or specific spinoffs of the already included shows that will take the form of additional characters and mechs to flesh out the roster but not really add additional story points. Like I wouldn’t be surprised if Code Geass’s entry was expanded from just Lelouch of the Resurrection to include Akito the Exiled and Oz the Reflection in the form of ‘Post-Series’ versions of those characters.

As an aside, I feel like there is a VERY good chance that we see both Code Geass: Roze of the Recapture and Macross Delta: ABSOLUTE LIVE as post-release DLC/Expansion content, in a similar vein to how 30’s expansions included a fair bit of continued story content following up from the base game.

What all this means is that I think it’s very likely that Super Robot Wars Y ends up having a roster of included mecha series a fair bit smaller than what we’ve seen in more recent SRW titles. Notably, even 30 had a slightly smaller roster than any entries in the proceeding ‘VTX Trilogy’ of games (16 compared to 18 or 19), and certainly much smaller than the absolutely LUDICROUS rosters of the Z series of games. Rather, Y may likely end up having a roster more around the size of the older handheld entries like J, W, K or L.

And you know, I think that might actually be a GOOD thing.

Because here’s where I talk about (part of) why Super Robot Wars W is one of my all time favorite entries in the franchise.

When it comes to story, writing and ‘universe blending’, basically everyone can agree that W is one of, if not THE best Super Robot Wars entry out there. It does a frankly incredible job of weaving multiple different mecha shows into an amazingly cohesive story that at many times even improves on some of the individual narratives. I means I could probably do a whole separate post on how W essentially builds an entirely separate PREQUEL show for Detonator Orgun that kind of completely changes who the real main character of that show is (if anyone wants that post, let me know XD).

Not only that, but W’s roster of shows are incredibly well fleshed out in terms of story, characters and mechs that appear in ways we RARELY ever see in other SRW games. Like other games will often really flesh out something like a third to half of their included shows while the rest are just sort of… there. Usually in the form of ‘their story already happened’. But W’s included shows get basically the FULL adaptation treatment pretty much across the board.

Like Super Robot Wars W adapts basically the ENTIRE stories of Gundam Wing Endless Waltz, Gundam SEED, Gundam SEED Astray (along with both Astray R and X Astray), Detonator Orgun (plus making a whole-ass prequel), Tekkaman Blade (both show and OVA), Mazinkaiser (OVA and Movie), GaoGaiGar (show and OVA), King of Beasts Golion (aka Voltron), Fullmetal Panic! (both the first anime and The Second Raid, plus bits of Fumoffu), AND Martian Successor Nadesico (both series and movie), all with surprisingly little cut out into terms of major narrative or character beats. And the bits that ARE cut usually take the form of ‘we’re NOT killing this character off and letting them stick around as a continued presence in the story’. I mean, not only does W not kill of Nadesico’s Gai Gaigouji, they have him stick around for the rest of the story, even into the Prince of Darkness movie complete with his own unique character model and custom Aestivalis!

The same goes for the included mech-roster for all these shows, which are frankly MASSIVE compared to other SRW games. I mean just look at the Playable Unit List for this game! It’s pretty much a given that most shows in an SRW game will see at least some of their lesser known mechs cut. But in W, basically the FULL mech roster from EVERY included series is available! Just to give an example, W is the ONLY Super Robot Wars game to feature the ENTIRE cast/mech-roster of GaoGaiGar through to the end of GGG FINAL. Alpha 3 had to cut Furyu and Rairyu, and later GaoGaiGar appearances haven’t included FINAL. But in W, by the end of the game the gang really is ALL here.

And the whole REASON W was able to do all this?

Well, because it happens to have just about the SMALLEST mecha-series cast list of any SRW game made in the last twenty-five years.

When you get down to it, Super Robot Wars W really only has NINE mecha-series’ in it. Technically ten, but Getter Robo Go is literally just the Shin Getter and pilots post-series who are effectively made part of the Mazinkaiser cast.

So if Super Robot Wars Y ends up having just nine, ten or eleven shows in its cast, I think that could likely end up being a GOOD thing. Because it most likely means that the production team will have been able to do so much MORE with those shows in terms of story, characters and playable mechs.

Personally, I've been more partial to categorizing the games by listing the 'Base Series', though I agree that 'Units sans Series' still very much gets the point across that the total number of shows listed can be rather deceptive :)

I never considered just how many series' included could be owned by Bandai-Namco, which is certainly an interesting factor.

To your point on returning series', it's also worth noting that the cheaper cost can also lead to those returning series' getting further expanded upon (see the development of Shin Mazinger Z over the course of Z2, Z3 and V for probably the biggest example), and not only are at least three of Y's entries returning from 30, I'm pretty sure we see Combattler V fighting a Cambellian enemy in the trailer, meaning we might actually be getting a proper adaptation of CV's story this time. Or as I mentioned in my own post; further developing Code Geass Lelouch of the Resurrection through spinoffs like Oz the Reflection or Roze of the Recapture.

To your point on every non-OG SRW entry including a Mazinger entry and SRW UX, I'm fairly certain that UX was also notable for being the first SRW to not include ANY Getter Robo entries. So given that Y already has Getter Robo Arc, plus at least two Gundam entries, maybe this will be the first time we see a game bench Mazinger entirely?

And yeah I definitely agree on your point on the newfound interest of cultivating international appeal influencing series choice. Big O certainly feels like a strong contender, particularly given it was already a big part of the Z series. And Escaflowne would actually be pretty in-line with the other fantasy isekai entries we've seen in recent SRW games like Rayearth and Knights and Magic.

So! I know there's at least a few folks speculating on what additions will be included in Super Robot Wars Y's roster, but I think it would be interesting if a little methodology is applied to the process, like compiling data from akurasu.net into a mini-chart like the one below:

"Units Sans Series" means playable units not tied to an already existing storyline, either because the series is set post-epilogue (like Combattler V or Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam in SRW 30) or because the source has no storyline (like Mazinkaiser Infinitism in SRW 30).

I have not included data from the mobile games DD or X-Ω since they'd act as an outlier, but it should be noted that both games have debuted series that haven't been featured on consoles yet.

Based on the data from past series, there's a few trends from past iterations of the series that I think should be taken into consideration when making speculations:

The company that makes Super Robot Wars is a subsidiary of Bandai-Namco, and as far as I'm aware, that means they don't have to pay licensing fees to use Bandai-Namco's IP; as we can see from the graph above, every game (except maybe Z3.1?) has at least a plurality, if not outright majority, of B-N titles, and Y's roster continues this practice with half of it's currently announced titles: two Gundam series, a Code Geass film, and Aura Battler Dunbine.

Series debuts tend to be limited compared to returning series, but once a series has been introduced in a previous title, the development of gaming assets for that series means it's now cheaper to include it again at some point, barring licensing fees and other factors. The fact that Getter Robo Arc and Macross Delta The Movie: Passionate Walküre, for example, were previously introduced in mobile games means their assets could be refined from already existing material rather than made out of whole cloth.

Given the total series listed for previous games, we can probably expect the roster for Y to at least double. However, the number of entries can be deceptive: in previous games like SRW V, for example, Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam, Full Metal Panic!, and the Rebuild of Eva films were counted as 3 or more entries each due to how their media is formatted, despite being a single storyline, and in SRW 30, Mobile Suit Gundam (1979) is counted despite its only contribution being a recreation of the RX-78-2 Gundam as Amuro Ray's starter unit and a single mission to Jaburo that involved fighting Z'Goks. This means Y could potentially include 'additional' series like Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury Season 2, Macross Delta the Movie: Absolute Live!!!!!!, or other Code Geass films, or even side stories like Revenge of J Gundam or Vanadis Heart.

Every non-OG SRW game has included a Mazinger Z-related entry, and the only one that didn't include Koji Kabuto was SRW UX, which had Mazinkaiser SKL.

Not included in the data from akurasu.net, it should also be noted that series will sometimes get included as a result of various X-factors, such as the cross-promotion of a sequel or a new toyline, or as part of a business deal with another company. For example, Studio Khara, which made the Rebuild of Eva films, has been collaborating with Bandai on Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX for several years now. It's extremely improbable that GQuuuuuuX would be included since, as of this writing, it hasn't premiered yet, but the last Eva film Thrice Upon a Time was completed back in 2021, and while it was too late to include in 30, the current working corporate relationship could be a factor in it getting included in Y. Another possibility might be the film Expelled from Paradise, which was previously introduced in SRW T, and has had a sequel announced for 2026.

One last note, there's been an interest in cultivating an international audience for Super Robot Wars for sometime, with V, X, and T receiving English translations despite not being officially released in regions like North America, and series like Cowboy Bebop being included in T specifically to cater to a potential U.S. audience. Titles that were more popular outside of Japan like The Vision of Escaflowne or The Big O or the like could be potentially included for that reason.

I don't know that these are actual rules that the company applies or anything, but previous patterns can be useful when predicting the future, so I think it's worth looking at.

I know R3 movie came out but here I rant about what could've been for Code Geass R3/Third Season. They could've put characters from Oz the Reflection, Akito the Exiled and Renya the Darkness featured but noooo they didn't. As a disclaimer; I'm not blaming anybody but I wish things were different.

Code Geass Lost Stories Main Story Summary (contain spoiler if anyone play this game)

I wrote this within mind everyone known Code Geass Lelouch of Rebellion stories

So far, main story split into three part, 13 chapter for R1, 4 chapter for chapter 1.5 and still unknown for R2. For R1 and most likely R2 too, it's basically same like anime with additional our MC PoV + their own problem so here I only talk about the difference happens in R1 :

Disel (MC family name) family are Japanese-Britanian worked for knightmare's energy filler division. As MC parents got killed, they adopted by Claris Garfield, Disel's assistant. In short, they want to revenge on Britania as they killed their parents. This one still speculations but there's indication that MC using a geass on themself to forget the past.

As MC studies at Ashford academy, she coindentally heard conversation Lelouch CC saying that he want to crush Britania then asked for join forces as they have same purpose. So she become Lelouch's backstage supporter but different than CC, they actively support Black Knight as their second ace and even become a Britania spy for providing information.

Funny enough, MC joining Britania at special division as Suzaku's coworker

Mao didn't get introduce since MC busy with their spy mission (lol)

Later story, it reveal that MC parents killed by their aunt named Kali, the reasons why Kali killed MC parents so far I know it's just yandere sisterly things (lol) and now she want to kill MC too. R1 ended with with MC vs Kali while Kali injuried badly. Of course they don't know the reasons her injuries since it's knightmare fight (at R2 Lelouch telling them) and they still not know that Kali killed their parents too.

After Black Rebellion, MC become a main devicer for special division since Suzaku appointed as Knight of Seven. After MC learn about Lelouch disapperance, they still doing their spy mission while wait for him to comeback.

Main story 1.5 started around one year blank R1 and R2 from different person PoV (sometimes MC sometimes not). It's basically just side story since every chapter just contains 10 chapter while R1 contains around 14-20 chapter. These sidestory explained many things missed at R2 like the reasons custom knightmare become so many at that time and many area under Britania rebelling after Black Rebellion.

Chapter 1 (MC PoV) : Story started from Suzaku mock battle to become Knight of Seven, introducing additional two new character for support devicer Schnee and Red, and some side battle at area 2 along with MC. That time MC got a new meele knightmare

This chapter explain some info like Schnizel fully support special division since he thought knightmare battle could change the course of war and that's the reason he send two new devicer to Lyord. In this side story there's indication Red send there to giving information to Kanon

Chapter 2 (Britanian and Black Knight PoV) : For black knight PoV story started from Urabe and Kallen go to India for searching Lakshata to repair Guren's right hand which is broken after Black Rebellion time. While Britania learn that information, they send a Glinda knights for clean up. Additionally from Britanian PoV story started from Schneizel start mass produce Lancelot test drive. It introduce a new Britannian family member Marybell along with her knight Oldrin plus Kimmel. If anyone remember, Kimmel is a should be Vincent user as he killed by Rolo at R2. As test drive success, some rebel group attacked that place then Suzaku save the day. Tbh I never read Oz the reflection so I don't know details around Oz and Glinda knights (lol)

This chapter came with small details like Schneizel came up with mass produce Lancelot for everyone no matter how good the devicer to use, that's the reason Kimmel came and become Vincent user at R2 since he's just an ordinary user (lol). There's Cornelia meets Oz for searching more geass information

Chapter 3 (Britanian and Black Knight PoV) : For britanian PoV story started from Suzaku along with Schnee Red MC gone to other country to repel the rebellion. This chapter explain Suzaku title as "white devil" since he basically swop the rebel alone (with geass live too of course lol). From black knight PoV, Kaguya Diethard Lakshata came to China for protection and prepare things if Zero cameback while Kallen Urabe gone to Yokohama as their team still on chase with Britania army and meets CC there. CC too still on run after geass special corps keep chasing her

This chapter introduce two original characters, Benio (Kallen's fangirl which she rescued at special administrative zone of Japan which later became Kallen underling) and Savitri (if I remember right, she's appear at Code Geass movie as Lakshata underling)

Some small info like Uni Europe rebel (Boukoku no Akito story) already done after general Smiley get killed so yeah it's just an afterstory, Anya Gino Bradley show their face to Suzaku for first time and Gino explain that even Rounds too still using a Glasgow custom at that time.

Chapter 4 (Black Knight & MC PoV) : This chapter started from Kallen Urabe CC invade Yokohama port to taking Black Knight knightmare which got themself into battle with Glinda knight. On MC PoV, they comeback to Ashford academy without knowing everyone changes after Charles put a geass on them and shocked especially after knowing Lelouch live normally alongside with his fake brother Rolo

So far R2 release around chapter 3 but I really like it's direction, some Oz the reflection and new characters element here makes additional info become entertaining to read
