RIP LANCE REDDICK. (1962-2023)

No matter your fandom, or your first introduction to Lance Reddick - he was an incredibly talented actor, self admitted amateur gamer, loved comedy and was consistently open to new experiences in a way that's impressive.

We weren't ready to lose him, and I hope he's at peace.

We've watched so many die for this war. And yet, those losses have given us insight…and common bonds.

I saw the news of his passing and just instinctively went: "Commander! no!"

I try hard not to get too wrapped up in actor-worship, particularly given my field, but Destiny is about the only game I have the time to keep up with and Lance Reddick was powerful in not only this game, but every other performance I've seen him in. Such a loss to the nerdy communities I'm a part of. It's honestly touching to see that other players have been gathering around his character since the news. RIP Lance, Commander.
