More novocaine action from last night cause I kinda got obsessed with this song again. I was on a call with a friend. Watching the music video for the first time. Cause I was quite young when I first had my ghost phase. And novocaine used to terrify me. And I realised there’s nothing to worry about. It’s just another ghost video😔

Compound is a scaremaze, a good scaremaze.

The idea with this design was to absolutely take advantage of the whole "weaponising your DNA" part of the lore to make a mutated Seek the Truth activist, after all that is what you're detained under suspicion of being! Going with Honey Badger as a base species for the fun of making a species known for their violence and tenacity so dangerous that even they feel ashamed of it.

The eyes, teeth and general growths of this design were very fun :)

Oh and before you get any ideas, @cherrykitkat has this one on hold as well.

COMPOUND Game

Did you guys try the Amigos in the Afterlife game. Yes?

Well cool so did I and at first I fucking HATED it because it felt so poorly made. Upon second playing it was just my blind judgement and half asleep ADHD brain trying to read a lot of instructions - though it is still VERY flawed. But what else did I expect, we're never getting the same quality as The Smiler game again.

SO I took it upon myself. I decided I could make a game.

This screenshot is of my VERY early and work-in-progress build of it - but it fully works. And is playable and you can beat the current test room. I'm currently just trying to get some nicer assets in before getting to work on stuff like cameras, shaders, menus, etc.

I would get a video but I can't really be too bothered right now honestly. So here's a rundown of what the game plays like

Player moves around maze to get to the key and then get to the goal.

Avoid guards who will force you to restart if they touch you.

Once near guards, they will slow to show you're within their range.

If you are close enough and in their line of sight they will chase you down.

If you get far enough away they will leave you alone.

Anyway, I'll hopefully have some more done before Friday - I'd really like to try get this game out about half-way through Scarefest, because it's not too big of a project. Just a bit of time needs to be put into it haha.

I also have plans to take it further than a COMPOUND game. The general premise could be applied to many of the scare mazes, just means I'd have to make skins for it all... maybe give them some unique mechanics and more.
