What's a shadowshard you say? Why yes, you're right, I probably should have explained that earlier in the comic. Live and learn. The short answer is that they're broken pieces of shadow crystals that can be used to help phones and other technology work in the dark world.

[The comic might take a short break for the upcoming winter holidays. The next pages are pretty complicated and I've got some other work to do as well, so I'll let you know next monday if I need a break.]

Damn, what if I reworked Starbreaker to be exclusively in Anarac's pov instead of trying to balance 5 new povs in one book?

Thoughts?

#ok so pros #1) he's got objectively the most significance to and stakes within the plot #2) he's kind of a non-entity for the first few chapters so i can just use him as a lens for seeing the other characters at first #more of a narrator than an actual character #like [REDACTED] in Rel's haunting but less omniscient #3) the five pov thing really might be a bit much for one book #you just can't do a solid character arc for five entire characters in the span of maybe 90k words #which leads us to cons #1) I'd be giving Anarac more focus at the expense of everyone else #he can be nosy sure but we wont get to see Pash's insane perspective or the internal view of Nyda and Kaulakri falling in love #actually i think less time in Faalgun's head could be a boon to his character but still #2) I've never written a full novel with only one pov and I'm scared #3) Anarac has a lot of issues guys #issues that will keep him from wanting to get off the boat and follow the crew into danger #i could do a few planetary exploration povs from other characters but i feel like that defeats the point #idk i need opinions #writing #writerscommunity #writblr #my ocs #writing questions

gonna be watching some s5 vods later after i get home but can someone pretty pls confirm if i got team pb&js' definition of peaceful ending correct?

pentar - used to be the same as minute but later changed to permabanning or imprisoning the PlayersTM if they dont give up but letting them live if they do (flexible according to whichever teammate hes talking to wants, fine with letting the PlayersTM live or die as long as they get stopped) (ngl im the least sure with his definition cause he was more dodgey about it and also kept changing according to who he was talking to when he does talk about it)

minute - no permabans, no exploits, somehow convince the PlayersTM to stop killing everyone and destroying everything (flexible according to what team overall wants but on his own this is what he wants)

ash - ending without exploits, violence and permabanning perfectly fine

jumper - permabanning the PlayersTM (willing to compromise but this is what she really wants)

squiddo (permabanning the PlayersTM as revenge for how they, particularly mapicc and wemmbu, treated her) (ngl im p sure i missed the stream where she talked about her motives and that im just connecting the dots rather than having any definitive clue what their motives actually are)

I'm gonna have to put it under readmore cause its a lot of images but! I updated my build in b/lox/bur/g of the Postal 1 home map and im happy with it enough to share with yall, it has an inside of dude's house too!! (or at least what i imagine it looks like)
