Shooting ideas together for a later chapter of OWL and I suddenly started tearing up over the idea of Reiner getting a little squishy post-peace talk attempt #1 and Jean teasing him about it in a loving way leading to some banter and just… ugh…

It’s such a subtle thing for me in canon because it’s never explicitly talked about, but Reiner losing so much weight after he gets back to Marley and how it’s never mentioned outwardly but ties in with his depression is just something painfully relatable to me. I just really enjoy the idea of him getting soft and becoming a huge foodie post-rumbling

HELLO I also started watching Lone Star partially because of ur Marjan and Nancy art, i'm only at the beginning of season 3 right now and Marjan is definitely my favorite character. I wanted to know if Owen does some specific awful stuff that makes him so disliked? I find him a Bit amusing at most currently but mostly just very. dull? Like he's a laminated sheet of paper at most. And also i literally forget TK is his canonical son because he doesn't feel very fatherly. so I don't particularly feel much towards him, but wanted to know if i should brace myself for something terrible in specific later? LOVE YOUR ART TO DEATH BTW WHENEVER YOU SORT OUT PRINTS IM GONNA BE BUYING SOMETHING FOR SURE 😤

personally i find him most tolerable in season 1-2, but even then i just think he’s one of the least interesting characters and YET he gets 70% of the screentime in any given episode—which bothers me sooooo much. a lot of his plots are really insufferable and we have to spend so much time on them, meanwhile they have one of the most interesting cast of characters I’ve literally ever seen, and none of them get any real arcs. imo it’s just frustrating as a viewer that i desperately want to know more about the muslim firefighter who wears a hijab or the black trans firefighter or the latino probie who cares a lot but was never given a shot bc of his dyslexia. ALL OF THOSE ARE SUCH COOL CHARACTER PREMISES! but no, we have to hear about 9/11 from owen again….

idk most of my ire comes from the fact that he Does have a cool dynamic with his son, and it Is a really neat setup for a story, but nearly all of owen’s plots are completely disconnected from literally everyone else on the show. i could surgically remove every owen-solo scene and i would still understand pretty much everything going on in any given episode, and it would be a quarter of the length. it’s bad writing! and really annoying to shelve such a diverse cast for rob lowe of all people.

tbh if everyone had the same amount of screentime i would probably hate him less? but it sucks that he takes up so much of what should be SUCH a stellar show. i could talk abt this forever gjfjdhfhf

A little preview of my wip Ghostflower fic. Though I dont think it counts as ghostflower and leans more to just Gwiles. Specifically Earth!42- Miles and Gwen. I think there should be a separate dynamic for them respectively. Their personalities are kinda reversed. Miles is the one that's more broody and angsty, while Gwen is an adorable sunshine that can roast your ass like the sun. And she's still got that edge to her. Of course ����

There’s nothing you can’t do.

All right, I am only doing this just this one time. My name is Miles Gonzalo Morales. I used to wonder why my dad didn’t put Davis as my last name on the birth certificate. He told me it’s because he just doesn’t want it to get in the way of making my own name for what he did in the past. Said he and my uncle used to get into some shaaaady business here and there. For all his insistence to erase the past and never look back, I find myself doing things backwards. Because all I be doing right now is get caught up in the past. Trying my damnedest to right it. To give meaning to it.

Fisk still has his sights on being Mayor. His campaign pitch was a load of bull. Everyone knows the villains that run around the city wreaking havoc was in cahoots with him to get the people running as far away from this city as possible. His vision of being a livable safe New York in which he put up in honor of his late wife Vanessa Marianna and son Richard Fisk sounded like an empty promise. If anything, he was hellbent on making an unlivable New York. His grief spreading its reach to drive people away. It tends to do that to a man. In that aspect I can empathize for him.

But what stops me from pitying the fool is that he’s going on driving away families who wish for a new start in the big apple. As well as people who established the roots here since opportunity was promised in the land of the free. Hiking up housing prices. Creating noise and riots on the street.

I could move forward If I wanted to.

If I did move forward me and my mami would’ve been living peacefully in Puerto Rico right now with my maternal grandparents.

If I did move forward, I wouldn’t be sticking out for the city that granted my dad countless opportunities no matter how much he messed up.

If I did move forward, I wouldn’t be giving my dad justice for all the things he has fought for this city. His death would have been in vain.

If I did move forward, no one would’ve stood up to the likes of Fisk.

No one would’ve had the guts to go against him.

And the only one that could do that was someone above the law. Someone who runs under the cloak of the night. Someone who could portray the villain if they needed someone to be angry at. Someone who turned Fisk’s attention away from grabbing every silver lining left in this city to cling on to.

If I did move forward. I wouldn’t be the Prowler.

And if I hadn’t taken up the role of the prowler… I wouldn’t have seen what my dad, my mami, my uncle wanted me to look forward to.

Sunshine breaking through a dark sky. A city burned alight with a new hope. A blue eyed angel flashing me a bright smile.

Just as New York can be greedy, as it takes, and takes, and takes. It also gives, and gives, and gives.

It’s okay to look back in the past. But it’s also important to not get hung up with it that you won’t be able to see the new day in front of you. It’s called New York for a reason ain’t it? Just because one bad thing happened doesn’t mean life stops there.

Say what you want about Genshin's fandom, fan service, and character designs (I mostly agree with those critisms), but no one can say Genshin's story and lore don't have a ton of love in them and is arguably one of the most complex and thought out stories I have consumed. Like some of these details are so niche and interwoven and foreshadowed since the beginning. It's part of the reason why I still love the game so much

grggrgrgr i want to work on the Actual Real Writing Project we started but it's like. mostly some of our sources and paracosm. and the ones who are at the beginning of the story are not fronting. and the characters who come into the story much later are very fronting and want to write their scenes but they also have to figure out what parts of their memories Actually Fit In The Narrative and when it's appropriate to toss them into the stew and they are too excited to write fight scenes and eat moss instead of help with plot

All details are tentative as of now, but male is Jung Saewon. 26 year old member of Baekdu. The female is Mun Soyoung, 32 year old temporary AMC of sorts of Baekdu. Soyoung dabbles in a lot of outsourcing and making deals with more sketchier parties to give Baekdu the upperhand that only ends up injuring Suman in the process.

BTW Saewon is being unnecessarily dramatic and angsty in his head but on the outside this is how he's acting five seconds later:

A little frustrated by the second season of sugar apple fairy tale because I’d finally started really engaging with its drama and appreciating the tone (aided in large part by this season being one big arc rather than mostly episodic like the first cour) when it turned around and revealed that the point of the Big Arc was possibly the absolute most ill-conceived villain you could bring to a series like this……… maybe i could’ve engaged with this Evil Member Of The Oppressed Group Who Oppresses His Own Peers, How Fucked Up Is That villain a little more in a series with like a modicum more subtlety but what I’d just come around to actually liking (after feeling very put off by it thru most of s1; I do want to go back and rewatch some of it now that I think I’d appreciate it more) was how aggressively pointed and unsubtle this series’s handling of its drama is; it works well with the simpler conflicts earlier on, just absolutely not in this one. and you can’t have that be your main villain in an arc that also has a sappy mini-parable about a Good Slave Owner, come on, the noah story is fine in isolation but side by side with the lafalle story it actually feels cruel and unfair, *especially* with the number of dubious human characters who are effortlessly redeemed this season
