Did you know that in addition to the manga another Crash comic was written but only in Italy?

AKU AKU AND THE ICE WATERFALL

It was officially commissioned by the "school of comics" in Milan for the release of crashMOM in 2008, and places it just before the events of the game.

It's a short but very nice story, I suggest you get a translator (since it exists only in Italian and at the moment there isn't an English translation) and go read it.

ThunderCats #2 & 3

If you don't care about spoilers but want to know the story I will be basically going over everything while interjecting my thoughts

Unspoiled Review: Amogoos Imposter te he

Well, I should have expected TC2011 to affect this but I didn't realize how much.

As mentioned in a previous post I missed #1 so I had to sort of gather context clues on what the fuck has happened but pretty much we are in TC 1985 Exodus. But apparently years have passed? I don't know if this is in reference to the lightyears traveled via spaceship or if these guys were G1 Transformer kept in stasis in crashzone. The location looks to be near or in the Sand Sea.

They finally let Lion-O grieve, #2 opens with him dreaming and wanting Jaga to be here. I like how awkward things are between the Kittens and Lion-O, it really helps people understand how jarring the rapid aging is.

The Cats are dismantling a Mutant ship and everyone is grappling with grief and the new power structure, as usual Tygra and Cheetara are the ones who are having to balance every ones emotions. Cheetara, Panthero, and Tygra come across a Thunderian refugee who was hiding in a compartment on the Mutant ship. Her name is Calica and she claims to have been a captive on the ship before it crashed. Everyone accept Lion-O is suspicious of her (where have I seen this before) but they can't question her further due to Lion-O stopping them. She seems to have Mumm-Ra's interest [please don't make him a freak please :( ] I suspect they 2011 Pumyra'd her and she's going to betray the Cats at some point, or they T-Girled Pumm-Ra. Either way is a big L for Lion-O who has a crush on her. God poor kid cant catch a break with accidentally falling in love with un-dead girls.

I LOOOVE TYGRA ARGH!!! He is so me. Anyway on to #3.

Calica is fucking lurking around the ship, Panthero lets her know that he does not trust her.

She goes to Lion-O, the Sword of Omens opens up a portal and SNARF APPEARS!!!! Snarf in this version can talk, just telepathically and only to Lion-O. He was in a magical armory and was placed there by King Claudis 3 months before Thundera blew. Calica said she heard Snarf talk then takes it back (sus) so Panthero tells her to stay outside with the twins while the others go inside the portal. When exiting Lion-O notices that Calica didnt enter with them and yells at Pathero for not allowing her in. Panthero then hits Lion-O, which I find heavily out of character, and Cheetara hits Panthero back, challenging him to a "Thunder-Dual" to regain his place back in the ThunderCats for assaulting their king.

The Thunder-Dual, however stupid sounding the name is, was awesome! So sorry two bad bitches were pitted against each other but both fought beautifully. I am so glad they did not write off Cheetara as "the girl to fight over" like 2011 did. She wins the dual and Panthero apologizes for hitting Lion-O but not for his actions regarding Calica. Which good for him for standing on that bc this gal is unfortunately suspicious as fuuuck.

Meanwhile Mumm-Ra is 2011 interrogating Jaga. He does not like that and I am loving the horror elements in this run a lot. It meshes well with the humor throughout it

Sssslythe runs into Monkian, and like in the 2011 series its looking like the Mutants are assembling for the first time while the run goes on.

Mumm-Ra apparently is showing his mug next issue which I'm sad about. I like it when he's pulling strings in the background and playing a chess with the Cats. Not to mention him looming and lurking makes him seem like bigger threat. Buuut thats just my gripe with ThunderCats in general I guess, Mumm-Ra is less Fantasy BBG or a Xanatos.

Overall I love the art and its keeping me interested in the story, I have issues with Panthero's characterization. I really don't think he would ever hit Lion-O, like belittle him yes but never physical violence. He has a temper yes but hitting Lion-O? Who he views as a kid??? Idk maybe it's my series only view of him, I never read the Marvel Star or Wildstorm comics so maybe he's done something like this before. I do need to track down #1 because I need to know what the fuck is up with the timeframe

That said I doubt this new game is going to be as memorable an iconic as the legacy Naughty Dog left but that doesn't mean this one is going to be one of the best depending on how well it captures the essence of the Crash we all know and love. So let's wait and see! So far looks promising and the characters design really good, at least that is from my point of view 😅 But enough about me! Tell me, What do you feel about these random news?Are you excited to get a direct sequel from the original?

Saw a video made by one of the big ones from the “CrashZone” community: he stated that apparently the producers aim to make this game both the 4th and the 8th entry in the franchise (if we don’t count remakes and so on), so time travel is most likely a feature in the gameplay (the pun in the title seems to indicate just that). Having said that, if this will indeed be a sequel to “Warped”, using time travel seems very plausible.

And it’s true: while Activision’s remake is very pretty and loyal to its source material, there’s a very cartoony charm to the original NaughtyDog version of the games, and I see where your doubts come from; but I feel like, after all these years, Crash deserves new adventures: now that the remakes successfully managed to boost his popularity, doing something new as the new next step is only fair, and I’m really curious about how Toys for Bob will give it’s own spin (heh XD) to Crash and his friends! ^_^

Drabble: Soundwave x Crashzone

One-Shot: Soundwave x Crashzone

Title: Clash of the Supernova

Note: A present to make the boo feel better.

The heat was intense.  There was no escape from the cloying smell and feel of exhaust as two forms moved against each other on a lone berth, servos grasping at each other, desperate to keep contact, almost in fear of losing the other forever. The two had no care for the heat around them, almost seeming not notice it at all. Nothing existed for the other except the one they had been apart from for so long. The heat was cloying.

Thin but strong digits held Crashzone’s helm, grip unwavering and unwilling as Soundwave kept their helms pressed against one another.  It was an unspoken agreement between the two; do not let go. So long apart and finally able to feel one another again? Do not let go.

The heat rose from Crashzone’s frame as another thrust pushed his hip plating back down into the berth. His servos clenched around the sensitive wiring he had found at Soundwave’s back plating, using the wires as a handhold in the storm of their love making, afraid that if he lost grip, he would drown in an ocean of pleasure.

Do not let go.

The heat of their exhaust seemed to slip back and forth between their open lip components, the ghost of their beings intertwining and becoming one as they breathed each other in. It created a heady atmosphere, static gathering around the two as their sparks pulsed in beat with the other, the air filled with their impatient need to become one.

The slow, indulgent thrusts of Soundwave’s spike into Crashzone’s valve had become second nature; the movement now the heartbeat of their two sparks becoming one. The inevitability that they would separate eventually didn’t exist in their world of cloying heat. Their EM fields had become a buffer, creating their own private universe as their two sparks gravitated closer and closer to one another, the gravitational pull leaving no other outcome then the stellar explosion of their beings.

Their two sparks lit up the dark abyss their room had become, reflecting blues and reds in shining luminescence, transforming the room into canvas of stars, dancing around the two suns in glee as the their joining came to a crescendo.

They could only hold on to each other as their sparks joined in a supernova of light and heat.  In that beautiful moment, they were one. Their sparks and processors aligning together and sharing all that they were. This was peace.

And then the supernova exploded, sending a shockwave of energy exploding outward and knocking the stars from the sky, their light fading as the two suns returned to their cages, separate but never alone again.

But the heat lingered, settling comfortably around the two as they slipped into recharge, blanketing them in the relief and the sweet memories of what it felt like to be one.
