have a look at part of our new editorial based on the word “consume” It’s ironic that our main channel for getting our message out there is through digital media and platforms like @instagram and we are seemingly discouraging the use of devices such as the iPhone however this is more focussed on over consumption and the impact that has on self worth etc - we live in an age where real tangible human connection is no longer a necessity and many people become totally fixated with the idea of posting content to please or gain an ego boost, basing their whole character on one version of themselves that can be impractical to keep up. The idea behind this shoot was to make an extreme visual to show this and the need for healthy, regular breaks of escape within a constant feed of content through different apps - addiction has moved from being solely about substances like drugs and alcohol etc and moved into a realm of social structure with the advances of all the readily available devices we use daily. It’s both exciting and inspiring to see these advances but misuse and obsession on any level can of course be damaging. We really enjoyed exploring this and getting right into the role as part of @spiltmilkmag’s latest issue, we’ll be submitting the piece to different bodies and hopefully get a chance to keep making interesting and meaningful content over the next year.
