Part 9 of shipping Train Operating Companies
London Overground is a bi, demi-sexual company and she is madly in love with the Elizabeth Line. The Elizabeth line is aro-ace but does have that special demi exception for the Overground. They love each other and want to get closer to each other, but their parent companies reside around 8,500km away so it is hard to keep in contact.
Maybe one day they will be together and become one.

Dear Congress,
Please work to fully fund the Federal Railroad Administration so that critical projects like CrossRail Chicago can be built.
Fast, frequent, and affordable trains will give us better access to opportunities and lead to more prosperous regions. Americans will have increased freedom to travel, and the efficiency of trains will slash air, noise, and water pollution in the process.
CrossRail Chicago is a practical and affordable way to build the essential core of our nation’s railroad network. It will upgrade and connect several existing rail corridors to create electrified, high-capacity routes into and through Chicago. It will also expand Chicago Union Station as the hub of the nation’s passenger rail network. CrossRail can expand service to hundreds of cities and towns across the country.
Like many other rail projects, CrossRail benefits many states and requires a strong federal program to achieve success.
Please ensure that Americans have access to safe, convenient, and affordable travel by fully funding our federal rail program through the Federal Railroad Administration.

From this day in 1989, plans for a new railway line underneath London.
Three ideas were being considered.
The favourite is East-West Crossrail, running through Liverpool Street, Farringdon, Tottenham Court Road, Bond Street, and Paddington. At the east end, it'll take over suburban trains to Shenfield or Walthamstow; at the west, it'll head off to Slough and/or Heathrow. There could be a branch from Bond Street to Marylebone, Aylesbury and/or Watford.
North-South Crossrail is a bit less developed: the plan is to run alongside Thameslink trains north of King's Cross, then go through Totttenham Court Road, Green Park, Victoria, and thence to the south-central lines towards Sutton and Crystal Palace.
Chelsea-Hackney line goes from Fulham Broadway to a new station at Chelsea Town Hall, and Victoria. There it'll shadow the Victoria line through Green Park, Tottenham Court Road, King's Cross, before branching off to Angel, Essex Road, Dalston Junction, Hackney Central, and on to Leytonstone and Hainault. A branch could go from TCR to Holborn, Chancery Lane, Farringdon, Old Street, a new station at Shoreditch Church, and Dalston Junction.
The plan is future-proofing the network, which is nearing capacity. According to the consultation, the first lines could be open as early as 1996, and look set to be needed by 2001.
...as we all know, Crossrail was tossed around and put on loads of back-burners. Clive's Underground Guides reminds us how the east-west route was eventually approved in 2004, and Crossrail opened "on time" in 2022, a mere 26 years late.

Part 13 in shipping different railway companies together.
C2C is alone. She does not want to be alone but that point gets misunderstood by the other folk. C2C is asexual but romantic and still wants to find that special someone but she generally doesn't get out there that much and doesn't really know anyone.
She has been acquainted to her neighbours, Greater Anglia whom she sees as obnoxious and slow, Elizabeth Line whom she doesn't know very well and London Overground, whom she is probably closest but if you think she desires a relationship with her, you are Barking up the wrong tree.
C2C probably was best understood by the Metropolitan District Railway, who is long since gone.

A ride on the new Elizabeth Line aka Liz Line. Also known as the ambitious Crossrail expansion project running across London East to West. This is Crossrail phase 1 running between Paddington and Abbey Wood. Further stretches will open up to the east, running all the way to Reading. Footage in this video shows the passenger interiors of the new Class 345 trains built by Bombardier/Alstom as well part of the stations and views of the journey.
