The Girl was a legendary Russian super-spy who wreaked havoc on the American peace-time military. She was never caught but Eldon died in Leavenworth while serving a life sentence.

The Finger Wharf at Woolloomooloo Bay was built more than a century ago. It’s the longest timber-piled wharf in the world and was used for wool exports, troop deployment for both world wars, and a disembarkation point for new immigrants.

At one point it demolition was discussed.

It now houses the rich, feeds them and moors their toys. All within 100m of public housing, I love Sydney!
