Ulfenkarn in my mind isn't a blakened dusky red hellscape;
its a ancient place with a venerated love of its history , stained with the blood of the innocent and the mud tracks of a tyrant.

Mini Painting - Qulathis the Exile
A friend of mine got Cursed City and asked us if we’d like to paint our characters. Having used Amallyn Shadowguide in Blackstone Fortress, and still having my Wood Elf army book from back when Old Kingdom was just “Warhammer”, I jumped at the chance to pick the Wood Elf adjacent Qulathis the Exile.

So another addition to my Lethis army.
Octren Glimscry with a Lethis feel. He’s even made a little friend while around the city.

I started working on these right before #40k ninth edition and #AoS 3rd released and wiggled the rules for objectives. I did most of the bottom two today; once I trim their edges I can start the #miniPainting (finally)
The bottom right word is self adhesive cork, cut into strips, and ABS sheets, clipped with wire cutters, that I'm trying out for Cursed City cobbles.

I whacked out another of these objective markers. I really wasn't expecting to enjoy the colors as much as I do here. Perhaps I'm FINALLY working out how I want to paint #CursedCity when I'm ready for that
... also might have spoiled the/my black primer by mixing the last 10ml with a drop of flow improver ... I think that I have "bad" flow improver ...

Cursed city wips!
Tried to avoid the stark red I usually see in art and went for more lifeless cool colors

J handed me a bag of parts.
It's an Age of Sigmar dwarf! I don't know what they're called, nor do I care to learn!
I can't get to my airbrush at the moment (there's work being done on the house and the basement is blocked) so I gave him a quick spray with white scar primer. Not my favorite, but we work with what we've got.
I've been painting so many Necrons and relying so heavily on my airbrush that I wasn't sure where to even start on this guy.
Pack it up, everyone. I'll never paint anything as good as that head. I retire.
