Part 8 of my series about the modules of Voltage Modular (and part 3 of the “F_Series”, a bundle of modules forged after the legendary DIY modular synth “Formant” - the 1977/78 Elektor project in Voltage Modular) is online now.

In this part I demonstrate and explain the central switching and gating module F_GENR8 and make it work in a couple of example patches.

From time to time I dive into electronics and try building something interestingly sounding. This time it became a drone machine based around the CD40106B Hex Inverter and a TL074CD quad op-amp. Pretty happy with the cinematic noisy landscapes that comes out of it.

been working on this sampler for the last year. finally got inspired to somewhat finish it. its made out of a wood box, axoloti core and a broken old keyboard. its 8 samplers that each have an individual rate control and master pitch and stretch knobs. plus some effects. hope to share some more stuff, and more in detail videos about the melo-8. hope you get inspired.

I Feel like making / building a new prototype synth again - This was built in 2017 and the sounds from this was used in making the album - Sanathana & Sanhata : i - This was quite a task and my first ever build! The past week i have been collecting materials for my future synthesizers and guitars while exploring the beaches here in northern Norway.

you can find some really beautiful wood pieces laying in the sand. i get super inspired. i think i might make a guitar soon. its kind of like a tressure hunt. but im looking for trash to make trashy synthesizers.

on another note, how did we end up here. its an absurd world we live in, where i instead of looking for beautiful shells and stones in the water, i am looking for thrown away wood and plastic from old bottles and containers. Im not saying we live in a dystopian movie, but we are living in a dystopian nightmare already. at least thats what it feels like.

to conclude: we need drastic systemic change. and wey make trashy synths and guitars out of trash.. also here are some goats
