I just switched my site from shitgator shared hosting to digital ocean and I couldnt be happier. But no I have to manage everything myself (with the help of serverpilot).
I notice my site is now default going to:
https://site.com/
but I want it default to show
https://www.site.com/
In my wordpress settings, I have it https://www.site.com/ but its still not correct. I’m guessing I have to do it from the DNS
Here is my DNS setup: https://www.screencast.com/t/JTHyIDP3x5jt

Blog subdomain vs folder dilemma https://www.reddit.com/r/SEO/comments/h9qk7c/blog_subdomain_vs_folder_dilemma/
We just started a website and thinking about structuring the subdomain vs folder structure.
Option 1 - subdomains
Our content and service will be location based and we are looking for some organic traffic from location specific queries, e.g. "service in City1" or "service in City2". As such we currently thinking about current thinking is that structure could be as: city1.domaincom city2.domaincom.
So I see following pros and cons:
+ we can better target city specific traffic under one domain
- I am not sure what to do with blog. Blog posts will not be city specific and need to be centrally located. Having blog.domaincom doesn't seem to be good idea as it would drive its own site authority and not to individual cities. (we cannot create individual unique blogs for each city)
Option 2 - folders
This would simply mean domaincom/city1 domaincom/city2 domaincom/blog
+ blog would raise overall domain authority
- I read somewhere that having number of locations combined under one domain would rank differently, so "service in city1" search request would show city1.domaincom/service better than for domaincom/city1/service. Basically search engine would be confused with various locations under one domain.
Is my view correct to say that location specific traffic better rank on subdomains?
If so, what would be the best way to implement blog?

Had one of the most Kafkaesque experiences of my life trying to sort out a bill from Domain.com today.
Registered a domain for free with them several years ago at a hackathon (they gave out little free 2 year regs to students). Cancelled the account a few years ago as well, after I learned that unticking the “auto-renew” button does nothing and you have to contact support directly to close an account. Fast forward to now and I learn that they’ve been stealthily pulling $20/yr from my credit card for two purchases of “Domain Privacy and Security Services” on a domain that literally doesn’t even exist anymore. They said they will issue a refund and cancel the most recent one, but not the ones from before that. Feels like straight up fraud to me but at the very least a good reason to stay away from them and watch your bills like a hawk. Your credit card bills too, not the bills they send out. They’ve been sending me regular email invoices saying that my balance due was “$0.00” turns out that was their way of saying that they had just finished stealing some arbitrary quantity of money from me and so now I no longer owed them anything.
Would strongly encourage folks to stay away. Even their “free” offers cost more than a Google domain will over the same period of time.

I am new to this.
I have a domain name via go-daddy and would like to have a custom email address for a small business (e.g, info@domaincom)
I have heard of NameCheap (~$10/per year), Zoho Mail (~$12/per year), but they don’t seem to have an phone app.
What are other alternatives?
Thank you.

I am trying to learn wordpress, so I am following this youtube tutorial . It uses hostgator to register a domain and host the wordpress site too.
In my case I want to use a domain that I have already registered with domain.com.
When you setup the install for the wordpress, there is the option to use your own domain, which I used.
For the completion of the wordpress site, it takes at most 2 hours.
So, all I have to do now is wait the 2 hours and change the nameservers in the domain.com site with the ones provided by hostgator ?
Previously, I have used digital ocean to host a django site, and I have to set things like A and CNAME records.
