Pairing: Charles/Max

Prompt: AU in the sense that Max is Max (3x WDC) and Charles is a streamer -- either an existing professional, or a teeny tiny streamer who just started out. Either way, Max stumbles into his stream (drunk) one night after celebrating a win and starts anonymously chatting. They get closer, Max mentions the idea of sim racing, Charles seems interested, and he donates enough money for Charles to buy a REALLY good set up.

Cue them developing a bit of an online friendship, either entirely via Twitch or moving to Discord. Charles and Max might race together, maybe Max makes fun of him for being bad (or maybe he has a natural knack?). Either way, Max doesn't share who he actually is, and Charles is annoying but endearing.

Maybe Charles gains a significant enough following that he gets invited to a race through a sponsor? And Max has to decide how he wants to approach talking to his literal friend while acting like a "stranger"

so some things i learned as i was doing this:

-solo cups were not invented until the 70s, so scraps has a tin can as part of her tail instead

-hoodies WERE invented in the 30s but were generally worn by warehouse workers bc of the cold. they didn’t get worn by the general public until the 70s, so toodles and cosmo are Not wearing them

-leg warmers were invented in the 40s but also didn’t get popular until the 70s so glisten’s legs get to be naked. sad !

-GASHAPONS WEREN’T INVENTED UNTIL THE 60s. GIGI SHOULDN’T EVEN EXIST HERE. BUT I DIDN’T FIND THAT OUT UNTIL I WAS DONE DRAWING ALL THIS. OOPS !!!

other than that it was just a lot of ‘put gloves and/or shoes and/or pants on them. sometimes noses’

Max, in some hotel lobby during a race weekend, sees charles flirting with a guy from ferrari team (not carlos, maybe some engineer or lawyer, like a normal person) who then proceeds to pin charles against the wall and kiss him.

Max, who previously thought he was straight rethinks his entire relationship with previously straight fav rival and now due to this realisation, can't function and has a midlife crisis.

As in, he breaks it off with Kelly, can't be around charles without wanting to die and also fuck him, etc. (Brownie points for a 5+1 fic)

His breaking point comes when he and charles have some clash on the track Austria 2019 style but charles wins and the move is called under question so he and charles have to go to the stewards along with the team representatives but max sees the guy from that first night talking to charles and channelizes his anger from to move to that guy and basically somewhere in all of that, lestappen gets together for real

tbh I couldn’t for the life of me pick a color palette I liked And Render it so I gave up on color. Enjoy the half assery.

Tbh I’ve just been call it Ithacan Naga, but it’s objectively it’s a mix of snake, owl/bird, and human. So 🤷.

Tbh the wings are supposed to be white/gray-brown, cause owls & Hermes, while his scales are supposed to be an oscillating scale from sea green-blue to purple-tinted gray. Uhm. Evidently that sorta didn’t happen but also did. So.

The purple/grayer scales are gonna be more around with the feathers and wings.

Those fin colors are. Too blue and too bright but I love the colors themselves so they’re staying for now.

Illustration of the Master that I did for Issue 2 of the Eldritch Dimensionality Zine, which you should absolutely check out, and you can find it right here! The theme of the issue was Time Lords being eldritch in nature, and so I wanted to draw something that tapped into my headcanons about dhawan!master having a messed up and/or painful time sense. Not sure yet whether the eyes are meant to be his previous regenerations watching him and providing helpful commentary, or perhaps the eyes of adjacent timelines that he can see way to vividly...up to you guys. Regardless, I'm very pleased with how it turned out!
