Pairing: Charles/Max

Prompt: AU in the sense that Max is Max (3x WDC) and Charles is a streamer -- either an existing professional, or a teeny tiny streamer who just started out. Either way, Max stumbles into his stream (drunk) one night after celebrating a win and starts anonymously chatting. They get closer, Max mentions the idea of sim racing, Charles seems interested, and he donates enough money for Charles to buy a REALLY good set up.

Cue them developing a bit of an online friendship, either entirely via Twitch or moving to Discord. Charles and Max might race together, maybe Max makes fun of him for being bad (or maybe he has a natural knack?). Either way, Max doesn't share who he actually is, and Charles is annoying but endearing.

Maybe Charles gains a significant enough following that he gets invited to a race through a sponsor? And Max has to decide how he wants to approach talking to his literal friend while acting like a "stranger"

The man– Charles, Max assumes– sounds French. He loves that. He should be used to a French accent, he was forced to converse with Pierre often enough, but it sounds different coming from Charles. More melodic. Almost similar to someone he used to know once. “And that made me think,” Charles says, voice bellowing from Max’s speakers. “That it was stupid that we didn't have carrots before. Like, come on, it's a farming game.” Max has no fucking idea what the hell he is on about.

went to "Compline" today it was lowkey crazy i got a little candle and heard my friends choir sing some sick ass besutiful music in the dark which was lovely.. but wow christianity is kind of intense as fuck... it's kinda weird that when you look at health recommendations for various medical conditions associated with fatness it's always 'just lose 10% of your body weight to see a risk reduction' (so like 20-30 pounds for the average overweight or obese person according to the bmi) but then in day to day medicine there's not really a way of like, removing obesity as a diagnosis on your insurance paperwork for example, even if by a certain standard you've lost enough weight to reduce the risk of health conditions that insurance would be concerned about. if you're an average height weighing 300 pounds and lose 30 pounds, which seems to be the amount that's considered reasonable to lose and maintain if you want to like, reduce your cholesterol, you've gone from morbidly obese to morbidly obese.
