Vampiric Dark Orchastral Trolls.

~Think of the Classical/Orchestral trolls in Trolls: World Tour but darker, bat-like wings tipped with bony cloak clasps/appendages that clasp over their doubled/tripled-size bodys, & just as scary as you'd imagine them to be but with that vampiric/uncanny/otherworldly beauty about them.

~I'm thinking something like the Albanian variety of Trolls that bear strikingly Dhëmbpirë-like biology: pallid/pale skin, elongated/pointed/bat-like ears, discolored eyes, optionally present fangs, the whole kaboodle.

~Maybe their/her/his hair isn't like the Trolls we've come to love or hate throughout the three movies (as of writing this): where the usuals have an upright, bouncy, lively quality to them, theirs/hers/his has a flat,  traditionally "human" aesthetic that looks to be weighed down from length or as a side effect of living in the cold rocky peaks deemed home via evolutionary survival needs.

~Cold af environments = narrowed (possibly bloodshot, dilated) eyes, bright eyes [Think of Riddic] straight, extra fur/hair for heat containment, comparably sizable claws, fangs/teeth & muscles (Upper body, legs???) for swift, even uncanny climbing speeds, heightened hunting skills for their predominantly carnivorous diet, all the predatory traits of a born, bred hunter.

Dark Moon: The Blood Altar Theory Based on the “Fever” Music Video

Part V

A few things I can’t yet explain:

Sunghoon leaning on the doors leading to the altar. Is that the “throne” Jake sings about?

Also, why is the hypnosis necklace in his mouth?

There are a lot of shots focusing on hands throughout the MV. Why?

Not sure about Heeseung's solo scenes. Mostly because my brain fries when I see them but I think it’s either just us being blessed but it may tie into the intense emotion,like when he’s deeply breathing and staring into the camera!.?/$).?/?/!/?@&&/, curling into a ball, and getting up abruptly.

I’m a bit suspicious of both Sunoo and Ni-ki’s characters.

Heeseung is safe, he’s too much of a main character to be suspicious. Very transparent guy.

Jay does not strike me as a plotting character at all so… he’s impulsive and stubborn when it comes to things he is upset about, so I don’t think he fits the profile of someone to come up with some elaborate scheme. Very honest and straightforward.

Jake is too wholesome in a very genuine way, I can’t explain it but he’s also not suspicious.

Sunghoon is safe too, I feel like he is trying to figure out his identity as a hybrid(?) creature and what powers come with it, and his tsundere (sorry it’s the best way to describe it) personality makes me think he’s a bit insecure. Definitely one of the most fascinating characters to me.

Jungwon is like… perfect (just like he is in real life 🥰). I can’t explain it but he seems balanced and rational. I don’t think he’s suspicious at all.

Sunoo is a bit suspicious to me because I feel like he doesn’t let on as much as he knows. I can’t fully explain it, but it’s just… odd (THE CHARACTER. NOT THE REAL DUDE‼️). Sometimes, I feel like his excessive sweetness in the webcomic might be a façade.

As for Ni-ki. There’s all the stuff I talked about before, but something else I wanted to bring up is the Bleeding Darkness performance by him and Jungwon.

Although it’s not considered canonical lore, at least not officially, it’s obviously inspired by their vampire concept. Ni-ki kills Jungwon like 5 times during the dance 😭😭

I just thought it was a bit… scary. It’s even worse if you consider Wonki are besties in Dark Moon, they literally don’t show up until we’re several chapters in cause they only spend time with each other.

Once again, I love Ni-ki’s character, but I’m suspicious of him…

Interestingly enough, I heard from someone who has read the web novel that the other vampires (bad guys) are mostly threatened by Sunki. Which brings me back to what I stated at the very beginning, I don’t think Sunki (or just Ni-ki or Sunoo or anyone else for that matter) are plotting against their brothers maliciously, but rather to protect them from other, sinister things.

Lastly: yes, I think Chris, or his impostor, or the prince (Chris?) Sooha is arranged to marry before Day One, is Dardan. Hahaha

Welcome to another episode of ranting (featuring Enhypen)

(This may contain spoilers about the actual webtoon, so if it reaches you and you still haven't read the webtoon, refrain from reading my review, and on that note, I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND YOU to start reading that webtoon because 😭🤌🏻)

The webtoon "Dark Moon : The Blood Altar" has its second soundtrack, "Criminal Love," on almost every steaming platform

Anyways, this song was the backing track of the webtoon in episode 60 (The other ost, "One in a billion" was in episode 48 fyi)

To kick things off, in that episode, when Sooha's remnant powers were almost absorbed (?) by Dardan on the blood altar, Heli tries to escape with Sooha, but he ended up confessing his love when Sooha told him that he came to save her in her previous life and this life and that's not it

Until that time, Sooha was clueless about the fact that Heli has remembered his past life (and judging by a lot of other events, it is safe to say Heli knows about their past (including the boys) in much detail. The others probably just remembered how they ended up being the princess' bodyguard and her vessels but Heli is the most knowledgeable in this regard.

However, in that one scene (you know what I'm talking about), where Sooha allows Heli to bite her neck because she trusts him (I know y'all have that printed in your brains from reading those panels at least 50 times), we now know that Heli had....uh....certain feelings and how he came clean to Sooha when he was trying to save Sooha.

Okay, enough about the plot. About the song,

These just happened to be my favorite parts from the whole song. The entirety of the song is a masterpiece, to me at least. But I had to point those out.

This is the 1st time I've typed something with so much patience because everytime I like something, I just have a whirlwind of thoughts that I cannot pen at the end of the day.

honkai "references" i noticed in the dark moon: a thread that's more for myself to collect my thoughts because the more i read the more the list keeps fucking expanding (spoilers below)

honestly, if i didn't play honkai impact, i would NOT have made all of these connections. so... thanks honkai, for indirectly making dark moon easier to understand.

also i know i am probably the only person who both reads dark moon and plays honkai impact (which sucks cause honkai is such a great game with a great story but i am obviously biased) but that won't stop me skznssksns

the concept of good and bad vampires reflecting the good and bad honkai/herrschers. in this case the main seven vampires are the herrschers wanting to protect humanity while the other vampires are wanting to destroy it.

the concept of multiple dimensions reminding me of the imaginary tree, where multiple dimensions co-exist. the characters in the alternate universes are similar to the ones in the "main" universe in terms of appearance but might be completely different in terms of personality and backstory. the events are also different too. i think that the webtoon and webnovel are within that "imaginary tree", which explains why the medias are so different (honestly this is me tryna cope with the confusion dkdjjsjsjs)

dardan/"chris" reminding me of otto apocalypse. their color schemes are similar and their motives are similar too. otto spent the rest of his life trying to revive kallen kaslana, the only person he thought was worth fighting for. dardan is spending his time trying to find sooha and pursue her power. they were/are willing to destroy the world for their plans to unfold

sooha reminding me of theresa apocalypse. theresa was created using kallen's genes by otto. sooha is the reincarnation of the princess that dardan is trying to pursue... if you read the above bullet, i think we know where this is going, i hope. (to some extent, sooha also reminds me of nahida from genshin because nahida's story is basically similar to theresa's)

heli reminds me of three songs from honkai impact. nightglow, rubia, and hoshi to kimi ga kieta hi (roughly translates to the day you and the stars disappeared). the last song reminds me of him the most. either listen to these songs or look at the lyrics cause, especially after chapters 22-23, the vibes have been immaculate.

before learning about who "chris" was in chapter 26, he reminded me of the herrscher of sentience. in the same way that hos was born from fu hua's memories and appearance, dardan takes after chris' appearance. then again, i don't know if dardan has always naturally looked like chris or if he shape shifted but i digress.

solon's inner turmoil about his being a hybrid (in the webnovel) reminds me of kiana and her being unable to accept that she was the herrscher of the void and that she essentially destroyed the earth for a while. they tried to keep their burdens to themselves and hated themselves for what they stood for because they were afraid that their closest friends/family would hate them. also, kiana's eyes are normally blue but, as the herrscher of the void, her eyes become gold. before kiana had full control over her herrscher powers, her eyes would be like solon's with the left eye being blue and the right being gold.

the first scene in under our skin by &team, where k/khan is watching the former alpha die in front of him, reminds me of kiana and himeko's last moments. himeko giving kiana her "final lesson" as she dies in front of her and the former alpha doing the same to k/khan. which also means that he's not going to recover from this for a while :D

holyyyy shhhit i just caught up with ch 26/27 and wow it explains so much but i refuse to believe the story's over yet - i mean ok at least from wattpad and webtoon now we've got some confirmation of events which have been portrayed in most of their past mvs but like u said we still don't know what's solon's backstory (we don't know if he was a hybrid before they sealed the powers inside him or if he turned into a hybrid after they teleported them to the future), we don't know why he's different, we don't know what the original princess was like, we don't know if dardan = chris or if dardan took on chris's body to catch sooha (or did he take chris's memories from his dead body ,,like did dardan kill chris as a boy and take his body or something idk how does that work)

and of course we've also yet to see what happened to other five wolves from khan's pack. i wonder how they're going to integrate them into the story esp since this means that the nightball teams aren't going to be equal (and how they're gonna tie this vampire conundrum in with the grey city storyline

in the one in a billion mv it appears that they drank the princess's blood but the way it drips down her hands in that one scene leads me to think that she was somehow killed or something. it's not like the drunk dazed mv scene where she pours it out of that little chalice thing. i wonder what the real story behind that scene is cos it looks so far removed from reality (a bit like some dream-like world or something)

but so far i did like that little plot twist about how vamfield was meant to protect them cos in the given-taken mv it did look like an oppressive place. i kind of understand the mv scene where they're getting their teeth (?) checked with a torch and how there's one flash scene of someone's fangs left on the shelf, how they're made to take pills or something like that ... marge and the caretakers were probably trying to remove all traces of them being vampires so they tried to suppress them. but i suppose that didn't entirely remove their supernatural abilities cos we see noa floating, solon's hand on fire, etc. (ok the abilities don't really match here lol)

we also need marge's backstory lmao what's she been up to these 120 years or so how did she get turned and who are the 'they' who worked with her to keep the boys safe (and if those guys r dead who killed them)

still glad that they're updating the cuttoons though! those are too cute. if they published a collection of those little things in a book i would buy it in a heartbeat lmao

AAA HI I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU SO WE COULD TALK ABOUT THIS SHIT BECAUSE THERES SO MUCH LORE THAT WE GOT!!! oh my goodness, i was shook reading this and i was so happy... but at the same time, i feel like i'm back in day one (square one).

the only things that confuse me are, why does dardan look so much like chris, where are the other werewolves like you mentioned, and why the fuck is solon a hybrid? HOW the fuck is solon a hybrid? WHEN the fuck is solon a hybrid 💀 i have an idea for the chris/dardan idea but honestly, i've been thinking it since i read the fast pass episodes....

i have been thinking that it was possible that someone took on the appearance of chris to get to sooha and lower her guard. i didn't know it was DARDAN, but i think he took on chris' appearance to make her more willing to trust him. and he chose the perfect time, whether intentional or not, because sooha's relationship with the vampires was strained after she found them drinking the blood...

when i read chapter 26, i kept thinking of this character from a game i play (honkai impact) who literally has the same situation as chris. i don't think you play the game so i might just make a whole post on why their situations are so similar. i noticed a lot of similarities between dark moon and honkai impact so i just might make an entire post about it... even though, again, i’m probably the only one who plays honkai and reads dark moon LMAOO

honestly, i feel like those remaining five wolves aren’t going to be mentioned in the blood alter. i think they’d be mentioned in the gray city, because that’s their story... also i think that the reason why the webtoon, wattpad and cuttoon are so different is because they’re alternate universes with their own timelines. so they’re all canon, just in their own timelines. three of the five remaining werewolves were mentioned in the wattpad but they haven’t been mentioned in the webtoon... i also think the gray city is going to follow that same pattern -- this is also one of the honkai impact/dark moon similarities i noticed... i’ll get into that in aforementioned post

also about solon... i think he’s always been a werewolf but, since his memories were erased, he never remembered it. i was talking to @many-gay-magpies about this and... we kiinda think he’s never had the chance to realize he was a werewolf cause he never got the chance to transform... maybe he’s always suspected it and there were little hints but he never fully transformed, much less came close to it -- at least not before chapter 8. cause he seemed really surprised in chapter 8, like he suspected it but he didn’t know for sure

given-taken really throwing the switcheroo on us 💀 yet in the wattpad, it’s clear that the boys enjoyed their time at the orphanage and they did have a lot of happy memories there before the orphanage burned down.... which also supports my idea of alternate universes which, again, i’ll get into soon
