Devour Movie, Prison Break, Fries on Tooth Fairy and House of Wax

This morning, I recalled yet another synchronicity I experienced last year the first time I watched Jensen's movie "Devour", which was released May 31, 2005. The other day, I created this darker synchronocities post. I watched Jensen Ackles' movie "Devour" one day last summer after work. Before I watched the movie that day after work, I was randomly thinking about one of my favorite shows ever "Prison Break". One scene I thought about on this day was the scene where Captain Bellick tells David "Tweener" Apolskis he's done with asking him for more information and "you had your time, you're a waste of my fries".

I also recall being rather stunned when I saw the finger in the french fries scene in the movie "Devour" later that day. The finger belonged to the married Professor Hartney, who was revealed to be having an affair with Jensen Ackles/Jake Gray's friend and fellow classmate Dakota. I would definitely call this "a waste of fries" that's for sure. I think she asked for ketchup, not a finger and blood! Same professor who also said to Dakota while she was pulling out a bottle of wine to give to Jake for his birthday "What are we to make of this Dionysian [Greek God of Wine Dionysus] offering?" to which she said "Mimosas".

From that post I made Sunday 6/16/2024 at 9:46pm EST:

House of Wax (watching at night), Road Trip, Ketchup and French Fries, Tooth Fairy Movie (watched this morning) Funnily enough, I was watching the older 1953 House of Wax movie while I was writing this post initially. Roku and its mislabeling movie versions at times. I selected it thinking it was the 2005 version not the 1953 one. However, I was writing this post so I was not entirely paying attention to the movie. I started watching the CORRECT version around 8:30pm or so (namely the one I care about more with Jared in it ha ha) and noticed Paris Hilton's character eating ketchup and fries (you'll see why I say this in the next paragraph). I couldn't help but notice the child being restrained in the beginning of the movie and the mother yelling at him to keep calm and the dad saying "he's really being a monster again today" and after the boy is moving around screaming which ends up with the wax mask falling to the ground and breaking. Eventually, the mother slaps the distressed child strapped to the high chair who yelled at him to "be quiet". Bad parenting much and the child turns out to become a serial killer, just like The Jackal in season 4 of Walker? Also couldn't help but notice the road trip discussion Jared's character Wade has with his girlfriend Carly. Oh and how funny, one of the characters from "Friday the 13th" (2009) in the first group was named Wade. Hmm....

This morning, I also was nudged to randomly watched the movie "Tooth Fairy" (2010) with Dwayne Johnson "The Rock" in it. The main character's girlfriend's daughter is named Carly; his girlfriend also says "oh, a little ketchup" while wiping the side of his mouth and proceeds to kiss The Rock's character Derek Thompson who is known as the "Tooth Fairy" because of knocking out one opponents' teeth in a game years ago in the movie.

The Final Destination

Another creepy, dark synchronicity with The Shinedown song "Devour" happened a couple years ago but didn't write about before. ON 3/5/2022, the day before my son's dad got into his car accident on Sunday 3/6/2022, I was putting highlights in my hair. This resulted in me going blonde for a year before I said to hell with the root maintenance and went back dark. I recall freaking out about how the highlights were not looking good at all. The deity Apollo said to me "Don't worry, everything is going according to plan and this is easily fixed. Soon you will see why Josh is the ugly one, not you". Over the last several months before this accident, Hades Odin told me multiple times things like "You need to get your ducks in a row for something life changing happens to Josh in MARCH and it will not be for the better" and even at one point told me "this Christmas will be the last semi normal Christmas for you and your family, as things will be quite different with Josh".

The next morning, I started painting my front door while I was watching the movie "The Final Destination", which was first released August 28, 2009. On a rather fascinating note, my ex's birthday is August 29, 1986 (meaning he just turned 23 the day before, and I was 18 soon to be 19 when this movie was released). This Final Destination movie's premonition involves Nick O'Bannon being at a race track where a freak accident happens involving several race cars and killing lots of people. At the start of this movie, the song "Devour" by The Shinedown is playing. If you look at the thumbnail below, the number sign reads 18. The movie "Devour" I recall was released May 31, 2005 when my ex was 18 but was going to be 19 later that year and I was 14 going to be 15 later that year. On an interesting note, that movie became 19 years old a few weeks ago actually...

One noteworthy death in this movie to mention here is the death of Jonathan "Cowboy" Groves who dies after the bathtub above him starts to flood, falls through the ceiling and crushes him to death.

I got a call from my ex's mother around noon that day sometime saying I need to drop my son off via meeting up with her. She sounded very worried but she was not really telling me what's going on but did say "something happened to Josh". I got a phone call from him when he was in the hospital and he told me he was in a very bad car accident and can't really move. I realized why his mom was telling me to meet up with her. I ended up taking him to the hospital outside where his mom was waiting.

I learned he was in a car accident that morning about 12-13 hours before and that the fire department had to cut up the car to get my ex out of it. He chipped a couple teeth, lost most of one tooth, his face shape changed some (is now more rounded looking than before), and got very scarred up on his face. Something overcame me and I said to him "you can be now called chip" O.O I did notice the fluorescent light above him have some condensation built up in it. One of the nurse aides pointed this out to a nurse and talked about getting it cleaned out. Ironically, he left the hospital 6 days later, 3/12/2022, which was the 3 year anniversary for the day he was arrested for, yes, what I call "the incident". He ended up being in a wheelchair for a few weeks and has been in surgery 3 times total, including the day he was in the accident. He may need 1 more, due to complications during the last one a couple weeks ago on 6/4/2024 making the surgery take almost 8 hours instead of the expected 1.5 hours.

Weirdly enough also, I commented on a bourbon post randomly yesterday via Instagram. I looked back on the post after seeing this post from The Rock (who I decided to post about just yesterday about an hour after I randomly commented on that bourbon post). I notice that the bourbon in question on the post I commented on randomly is called Pappy Van Winkle's Family Reserve 23 years old. Turns out it's made by a Buffalo Trace Distillery. Per the official website: "This very rare, limited edition bourbon takes takes generations of distilling know-how to produce. Only the most careful and expensive distilling method can be used to create a whiskey as special as this one. Each barrel ages for 23 years and is carefully selected from the heart of the warehouse. This whiskey should be enjoyed neat." I should also mention I was born on 10/23/1990 and was born near Buffalo, NY but grew up outside of Detroit, MI for a good while.

I recall on Supernatural Crowley, who honorably gave Sam the nickname Moose and Dean Squirrel as a reference to the cartoon duo Bullwinkle J. Moose "Moose" and Rocket "Rocky", enjoying a certain liquor drink. I also admit I was thinking about Bullwinkle when I saw the Van Winkle on the bag when I looked back at that liquor post I saw. I was curious as to what this drink is that Crowley likes. In the second episode "Moose" was mentioned on the show is also the same episode Crowley's favorite drink was revealed, which is in Season 6 Episode 4 "Weekend at Bobby's". "Craig. Aged 30 years at least. I've been drinking it since grade school." "Craig" refers to the whisky Glencraig. Of course, it was Sam played by Jared who got the nickname Moose. As I mentioned in a post I made Sunday, I mentioned the show Walker where Jared plays Cordell Walker, a Texas Ranger who wears a cowboy hat a lot on this show (often white but sometimes black or even brown like the hat Jonathan Groves aka Cowboy wore in "The Final Destination" as seen earlier in this post). Just lately, I was talking to a couple friends about Jared being affiliated with the 2016 wine Venatore and was wondering if he still is part owners of that bar San Jac Saloon in Austin, TX. Weird, under the header for that article it says "Plus, Bacardi goes batty for wildlife conservation, and a Detroit charity wine auction collects $3.3 million". On another creepy note, my ex I mentioned earlier with the car accident and such was in fact a bartender at the country club my parents are members of years ago (and shares Poseidon as a higher self and first letter in the first name with Jared)...

so, here we are. this man??????? this man is one of my favorites!!!!!!!!!! i know i say this a lot about prison break’s characters but he really is!!!!!! i care about him a lot. he’s the ultimate man of law. i’m 100% positive he’d be a great grandpa. i know that’s random but i guess i just want him as my grandpa. so sad that micheal ruined his career. he’s perfect and i love him.

he’s not a great man, okay. we all know it. he has done many horrible things, one of them being cutting micheal’s finger toe. that was not cute. fuck i hated him for that. but i also cried when he died ...... so much. i knew he was too focused on that fibonacci thing and that that obsession would only get him to bad places. 

“i kneel only to god. i don’t see him here.” let me just say!!!!! that last line was deep. like reaaally deeeeep. i screamed “NO SHUT THE FUCK UP THEY’RE GONNA KILL YOU YOU DUMBASS FUCK YOU” when i first saw it. he didn’t listen to me tho. he decided to die instead.

tweener.. cutie. okay, let’s be honest: he made mistakes. many. but let’s also remember that his actions were only determined by the need of protecting himself. never forget that. he was young and had no one. he had such a shitty life, which he didn’t deserve at all. alexander mahone, oh how i love you, but oh how i hated you for killing him. that wasn’t necessary. he was just a kid with a life that was forced on him and that he didn’t choose. i love him. also, he’s hot.

uhm.. i liked this man. even tho we don’t see much of him, i liked him. he didn’t make the best decisions for his children, but he tried to change the future he had with them. alexander mahone, here we are again. fuck you killed a lot of characters i loved in this tv show. how do i love you the way i do? who knows. yes, i cried seeing this man die (i know i may seem like i cry a lot but honestly it’s just prison break ..... nothing makes me cry like prison break. i sound insane, huh? am i? probably). you can’t blame me tho, he was killed right after he reunited with both of his children. that’s brutal.

Flash Prison Break?

So like many others I have watched The Flash and then Prison Break. With in half of season one I'm like thinking wow Prison Break is Captain Cold and Heatwave origin story. Since then I've been on the look out for a really good crossover between the Flash and Prison Break. So hear me out of this.... Len meeting his Rouges.

Lincoln/Mick always right hand man. Instead of brothers they are brothers in arms since Len was 14 and got his ass saved by Mick.

Mick is the gentle giant so to speak. Willing to protect his crew by any means necessary but not violent by nature.

Lisa is next in line. Mark is the second enforcer. Hartley the tech guy. Axel the lost kid looking for his place. Shawna the nurse.

Now image Len hadn't die in LOT but instead in up in the hands of Argus. Leader of the Suicide Squad Len is dropped into several difficult situation where he is to save/eliminate any number of people once Len pays his "debt" he can walk aways a free man.

Mick, by luck, finds out that Len is alive (season 5 of prison break) and trust and fails to save Len. Deciding he needs help he goes to the flash only to find out Berry has lost his speed.

Barry still being Barry wants to help so Mick gives him a list of names to hunt down. Starting with Fernando Sucre.

Sucre is mostly out of the illegal line of work for his daughter's sack. He can however get any and everything out of the country with little to no problem. Black market is his jam.

Benjamin Miles Franklin "C-note" is in the same line of work as Sucre only difference is he can still get anything. No matter what is may be.

John Abruzzi the mob boss. Need I say more? Lol

Theodore Bagwell "T-bag", let's face it, he's a guy we love to hate. But not like we do Neegan (I mean hello, Jeffrey Dean Morgan is hot as hell so he's got that going for him unlike T-bag. 😂). T-bag is definitely not Len favorite connection and yet sadly this time Mick need. T-bag is still small time, mostly because he likes it that way. He sadly deals prostitution and sex trafficking.

Let's no forget the pick pocket David Apolskis "Tweener". Who was once Len's 'apprentice' so to speak. After they meet in Fox River Len showed Tweener how to really steal.

With the Fox River Eight and FBI Alexander Mahone (what a shock it was to team flash to find out Len has an FBI agent in his corner) teaming up with Team Flash to save Len.

Summary: Alex knows what it's like to take a life, but that doesn't make it any easier for him to accept the fact he needs to kill eight people to have a chance at getting his own life back.

Whatever hopes Alex has for the Fox River Eight case giving him a chance to forget about Shales, focus solely on work and putting eight men back behind bars, shatter immediately after Kellerman presents him with the deal. Just thinking of it as a deal makes Alex push out a bitter laugh as he sits alone in his office. A deal implies that both sides are receiving equal benefit, that it’s a fair bargain. The Company gets to sit back and watch him ruin his life even more to further their own agenda. What does he get? A promise of his family’s safety and that the truth about Shales stays unknown? Two things he should have automatically. But now they aren’t automatic, because if he stumbles, he won’t be the only one falling.

It’s more than ample motivation, but it doesn’t make the job any easier. Alex knows how it feels to take a life. What’s more, he knows how to take one up close and personal, close enough to see eyes go blank and blood spatter with a single pull of the trigger. Killing Shales isn’t the same as essentially being a hitman. Alex isn’t a common murderer who gets off on ending someone’s life, and he’s not keen on the idea of having to go through it eight more times. If he struggles this much with the aftermath of killing one of the worst kinds of people in the world, how’s he supposed to handle going after someone like, say, David “Tweener” Apolskis, a teenager in jail just for stealing a baseball card, albeit a valuable one? Or Fernando Sucre, a man who committed armed robbery, and yet someone the store clerk admitted was a surprisingly polite thief?

These are the new thoughts that keep Alex up at night, mixing with his old nightmares of Shales digging himself out of his grave beneath the birdbath. At least with Cameron and Pam gone Alex’s mind no longer presents him with images of a skeletal Shales going after them, but their absence also means he has no one left close at hand whom he loves, leaving him with no more light to peek through his darkness. God knows he has nothing left in himself to make up for that gap. Occasional phone calls and scattered visits will never be enough.

At the knock on his door, Alex looks up from the open files that he hasn’t been thinking about for going on half an hour now. If the tech-minded agent has finally finished pulling the contents of Scofield’s hard drive, maybe there’s something in there that can properly distract Alex. Instead, it’s Wheeler.

“What,” Alex says flatly.

“Abruzzi’s on the move.”

“I’ll be right out.”

Wheeler nods and walks back to the main part of the office, leaving Alex alone once again. He doesn’t have much time, but he rubs his face, readying himself for the first of his to-be-grown body count. It’s funny how he’s both being distracted and forced to remember what he has to do. He can’t figure out how he feels about that, so he decides not to feel at all. Taking the rest of his pills earlier at the car accident is paying off so far, allowing him to switch off the excess feelings with little effort. He’ll regret it later, in a moment where he needs the pill’s calming effect and finds that he has none left, but that’s a problem for later.

Right now, he has a mob boss to kill. Or, more accurately, have others kill for him, creating the guise of a tragic, unavoidable end to this particular escapee’s life.
