Un libro que me deja con pocas palabras, voy a tener que procesarlo durante un tiempo.

Terminé de leerlo en el tren, como me ha pasado con tantos libros. Por cuestiones del destino y la tragicomedia tan típica de la vida, leí las últimas páginas mientras el tren estaba parado en la estación de La Lucila. Por el altavoz nos avisaron: “Queridos pasajeros, la formación se encuentra momentáneamente detenida en el andén por intento de suicidio en Olivos”. Llorar en público no me suele pasar, pero se me llenaron los ojos de lágrimas esta vez. Todo fue mucho: el libro, el anuncio, la gente que se quejaba porque iba a llegar tarde al laburo.

Me encontré mucho en esta narradora, que a veces se corre para contar la historia de su familia como si fueran personajes y otras veces no puede evitar involucrarse. Su miedo a herir a la familia con lo que está haciendo lucha con la necesidad de saber más sobre quién fue su madre: una mujer tan enigmática y a la vez tan transparente en su necesidad de ayuda, de alguien que la acompañe, alguien, algo, por favor.

Esta lectura le da un poco más de marco y sentido a la que hice en su momento de Basada en hechos reales (2015), donde la autora relata desde la autoficción las consecuencias emocionales de escribir y publicar un libro de esta magnitud. La novela hija de esta, irónicamente. Habría que hacer una lectura conjunta.

No tengo mucho más para decir ahora mismo. Creo que voy a estar pensando un rato largo en este libro. Creo que en algún momento voy a llorar de verdad las lágrimas que me tragué en el tren.

Je suis en train de terminer la deuxième partie de Rien ne s'oppose à la nuit de Delphine de Vigan et je ne sais pas si je vais sortir indemne de cette lecture.

Ce livre me met dans le même état que La cloche de détresse de Sylvia Plath.

J'ai le cœur qui cogne et la gorge et l'estomac noués.

Ce qui me fait penser que j'aimerais trouver des forums où on peut parler de livres ou bien on peut lire des critiques, des avis... Mais je n'en connais que quelques uns et je ne sais pas si c'est safe.

Credevo che la violenza fosse nelle urla, nelle botte, nella guerra e nel sangue. Years after Kimmy's kidnapping shes still suffering the consecuences of her child star infancy, and so does her bigger brother, who, after upholding the influencer family buisness for more years after Kimmy's has cut ties with the family, has fallen into a extremely paranoid state in which he belives hes beeing watched by an unkwon organization. The siblings reunite after their strangement, but it is reaveled that what Kimmy thought to be an innocent butterfly is actually a hidden camera sent to spy upon them.

Melanie, their mother, runs her very own Big brother streaming, that eventuallys sends her into a mental breakdown, on which the book ends, after years of working being seeing by millions.
