Hi I have been informed that the tags are a reference to the opera in that image but because I love fun facts I do want to say!! Fluttershy actually does know (at the very least on a reading level) latin!! It's called Old Ponish in show and it's more fanon than canon that it's Latin, but it's treated as an equivalent!! In S7E20 she uses her knowledge to find evidence of an old legend by translating and cross-referenxing various texts in the language!! (OH btw I'm the mod of that fluttershy blog, not just a rando)

05 Mapa y destino

Un mapa es un medio para encontrar un camino, llegar a aquel lugar que será nuestro destino.

Aquel que no sabe a dónde va jamás sabrá cuando habrá llegado.

Como dato curioso, la representación del mapa esta en base al mapa del metro de México, porque para mí fue uno de los mapas que más libertad me dio me permitió comprender los mapas de otros lugares en el mundo.

A map is a means to find a way, to reach that place that will be our destination.

He who does not know where he is going will never know when he will have arrived.

As a curious fact, the representation of the map is based on the Mexico metro map, because for me it was one of the maps that gave me the most freedom and allowed me to understand maps of other places in the world.

Who is Lamia, and what are her origins? Is she the woman behind the man to King Magnifico in his fall to darkness?

Lamia is the child of the primordial personification of time, Chronos (not to be confused with the Titan Kronos, father of Zeus), and his mortal lover, Dahlia, who’s impossible love was depicted in the Disney short “Destino”

She dwells outside of linear time and physical space, in the ever shifting Land of Dreams, the only place her parents could briefly be together. As a being born of an impossible to grant wish, (that they could be together forever) she is never satisfied, and ever devouring the dreams of others in an attempt to feel some fulfillment of her own.

She wasn’t responsible for Magnifico’s fall to darkness, that was his own hubris/somewhat the effects of the Grimoire of Vor. But now that he too is trapped within a liminal space, she’s very willing to use him for her own means now that he’s alone. Of course he doesn’t know that his new ally is the mortal foe of his long lost daughter Maroula, and that helping Lamia to defeat Asha and Star will also spell doom for her…
