First try-out in Pixplant to make a texture and normal map. I tried to make it for a cotton molton.

Very nice render of the blouse, but there are still some frames where the green print turns into grey. How to solve this?
You can see some color differences in the print but it you can't see the print itself in this animation - not as good as in the image renders.
Next step is to make the whole outfit and render it with transparant background - which is not possible as an video but as several loose images.

Plaid skirt - week 12
Digital class by Ineke Siersema
Today it was explained how we can create plaids in a garment.
It was not difficult to create plaids in a garment but I am still wondering: how to place plaids when there are darts in the garment.
See pattern photo: I did not enlarge the back placket of the skirt but created plaids in it. When I enlarged the pattern and incorporated plaids my CLO file got a huge errror.
In the next lesson I will ask Ineke Siserma about this and correct it immediately.

I rendered both of my experiments and they came out a little weird and not stuck to the shirt.

Some extra stills/renders. I wanted to approach this as if it was e fashion shoot, so play around with some angles and zoomed in shots. It is not necessarily about the outfit, but more about the aesthetics.

Digital production class - week 11
Digital class by Ineke Siersema
Today was all about creating volume in your design. In week 1 I had already tried to design a puffer jacket but it was a bit of a struggle. With a good explanation from Inke Siersema creating volume went smoothly.

For the next class we started working with artworks like f.e. embroideries. I took an embroidery from the internet and changed the setting in illustrator.

Thursday 26 November 2020 - Ineke
I showed Ineke my new garments, I already showed her last week the first outfit. I explained each outfit and the feedback I already got from Oscar and my conclusions.
I also showed the improvements of outfit 1 and the piping.
And after she gave me feedback we talked about Substance painter, Artificial Intelligence and Zondag met Lubach. She also asked me for the Summer course of 2021. We also talked about in which program and how I will implement the garments into the experience.

likes the outfits
nice that you keep using those album covers as a starting point
Good that you created the details for the piping
Think of the knit (cycling plants) with or without the piping, because with piping it’s an enormous contrast.
‘You are incredibly fanatical, you can work very well, very hard. That is your strength too! really fun to see’ :)
