is far from perfect but it's a lunar distance better than Netflix Devil May Cry's "demons should be a metaphor for people of color because um. they're different from humans; let's not worry about the implications this creates it's fine"

I cannot believe that I am about to say this.

DmC: Devil May Cry had a better story than the Netflix show. There I fucking said it. At least DmC only had the ONE child death rather than a fucking kindergarten's worth. Donte actually has a much better character arc than Red Nero. At least DmC didn't compare actual refugees and immigrants to demons from Hell. DmC actually handled the "Not all demons are bad" topic much better than the show did. Bob Barbas felt like much better social commentary than VP Baines does because at least Bob Barbas doesn't actually believe the shit he spouts, you know like it is in reality. At least Vergin is just plain power hungry and not the worst type of "I was a good and sympathetic person, until a bad thing happened to me, now I want to KILL EVERYONE AHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!" Like the White Rabbit.
