The show is not an easy show to act in, and Wang is a complicated character in a complicated show. There are no flashbacks, a tiny cast, and it's heavy in dialogue. Meaning the series relied heavily on the actors' ability. Pond is amazing and I will be watching Fourever You Project entirely for him

Perfect Propose

Fuji TV (the Pornographer series) adapting Mayo Tsurakame’s manga, production team includes Tadaaki Horai (My Love Mix-Up!) and Takeshi Miyamoto (scriptwriter for “Old Fashion Cupcake”). Hiro’s so stressed at work he barely has time to eat so he passes out on the sidewalk. An unfamiliar face saves him and insists that they once promised to marry each other.

Love For Love's Sake

Based on the Manhwa Love Supremacy Zone by Hwacha, this will star actors Lee Tae Vin, Cha Jun Wan, Oh Min Su and Cha Woon Ki. The plot of the drama is based on Tae Myung Ha, a young man who is dropped into a game based off of a novel that he knows. His mission is to make another player, Cha Yeo Woon happy. Cha Yeo Woon is Myung-Has favourite character in the novel. But then the game starts going completely different from the novel.

Love in the Big City

Movie adaptation of Booker nominated famous coming of age novel ‘Love in The Big City’ by Park Sang-Young. A cynical yet fun loving student writer name Young pinballs from home, to class, to Tinder matches. He and Jaehee, his female best friend and roommate, frequent nearby bars where they push away their worries about life, love, and money with soju and Marlboros. But as time passes Jaehee settles down and leaves Young to face his problems on his own, finding comfort in the arms of the series of men, including one whose handsomeness is matched by his coldness and another who might be the great love of his life. Not really BL. To star Kim Go-eun (The King: Eternal Monarch), Noh Sang-hyun (aka Steve Sanghyun as Young) and Nam Yoon Su (The King’s Affection). More here.

GMMTV. Hum, well I do love this pair and I did like the original and maybe this time these characters will actually kiss? I'm actually fine with this pick-up. I kind of enjoy seeing different countries remake the same IP. Especially if it's IP I'm mostly unfazed by.

Casting happened 9/23. This is a supernatural romance (my ghost boyfriend trope) ‘เดือนพราง’ by Violet Rain. A Bangkok writer is hired to write an article about an old mansion in Chiang Mai which is being converted into a café. He gets into an accident and nearly dies on his way there. After that, he sees the ghosts of people who died at the mansion, one boy catches his attention. Stars Benjamin Brasier (2 Moons 2) and Folk Touch Inthirat from Brothers. Trailer here.

This is totally my kind of BL even if it actually isn't GMMTV's style of BL, so I'm intrigued. Trailer here.

GMMTV's university friendship Bl featuring PondPhuwin, WinnySatang, AouBoom, MarcPawin - basically ALL in the good kind of messy friendship group (so more My Engineer and less Only Friends). Looks a bit like the Kiss series but everyone is gay. I'm IN! Trailer here.

A reminder we had c. 136 BLs release in 2023 but c. 55 that did not get made.

That seems about right.

Of those announced we seem to get about 2/3 actually released for the year we are told they'll release in.

FourEver You Project

New updates, I found an article in thai that I passed through google translator, and got some more info.

The Pilot we got was apparently Part 1, the article also calls this series a year end project (probably means I was right about the air date being sometimes at the end of the year).

The article also says that the love story between Earth and Pond characters has a different ending then the original book.

I am not if this means they split just the trailer or there will a be a part one and a part two even series. The other two stories seem to have darker vibes (one of of the other two main characters can see ghosts accordings to what i found and the other has a very messy family dynamic) so it make senese to split them.

So depending on if they are shooting both parts or just part one right now they might legit be almost done.

I also found this reaction video from a thai person (using gender neutral lenguage because I don't want to assume pronouns) on YouTube with automatic subtitles in english. Right after watching the person in the video also is not sure if the pilot might be cut from the official trailer or if they started filming yet (and we know they started filming already9 And they were also speculating that the real trailer might be coming next month. So maybe it's a pilot trailer because it's not the real trailer but it's like an extended teaser?

The video goes into some novel spoilers I think. Talks about the other characters a bit and stuff. They also say that it might be angstier and a bit more drama then what New has done in GMMTV (so it's probably not going to be too much like We Are the series - easy watch little to no plot).

This isn't in the video but from what I have seen of the boos this is not a story in the bubble. Homophobia exists in this story and plays a part in the conflict between at least one couple.

Fan Chant: DAY6 Break Down Their New EP Fourever Track by Track

The members of the pop-rock band dive into each song on their latest release by Mary Siroky

JYP act DAY6 is not your typical South Korean music group. While more and more K-pop artists are becoming involved in the creative process behind their music, the members of DAY6 make up a true band, playing their own instruments, writing their lyrics, and producing a cohesive final product in the studio as a team. DAY6’s pop-rock sound has been honed over the years since their 2015 debut, and the band has now returned with a new project, titled Fourever. The seven-track EP kicks off with the energetic “Welcome to the Show” and features both melodic efforts like “The Power of Love” and edgier offerings like “Get the Hell Out.” Here at Consequence, we have a feature called Track by Track that allows artists to shed light on each piece of a project, and DAY6’s extensive involvement with their music made them the perfect candidates to bring this interview structure to Fan Chant for the first time. Read the insights from the members below, and check out the focus track off Fourever, “Welcome to the Show.”

“Welcome to the Show”:

SUNGJIN: This song was actually quite unexpected in many ways. It was a song we quickly put together towards the end of the songwriting process, but it turned out surprisingly well and became the title track. When the title came to mind, I thought it would be great as the opening track of this album. It was a series of unplanned situations.

“HAPPY”:

Young K: DAY6’s songs often aim to balance brightness and darkness, joy and sadness. There might be exceptions, of course. This song also carries a longing for happiness but certainly has its share of pain. That’s life, isn’t it? There are happy days and sad days. Everyone carries some pain with them as they move forward. I think that’s reflected in this song.

“The Power of Love”:

WONPIL: I felt that this song should be included in this album from the beginning, when I began to work on the melody. There are times when melodies flow easily in my mind, and I felt like this song was one of those instances. I’m attached to our song “days gone by,” so I wanted to try a similar genre again. I think it started with the idea of us, as we grow and return, reinterpreting the 80s synth-pop sound.

“Get The Hell Out”:

DOWOON: There aren’t many songs similar to this one on my playlists. The song that inspired me while working on this was, I would say, “Deep in Love” by the band called DAY6?

“Sad Ending”:

WONPIL: Although the song is based on a rock sound, I felt that adding emotion to the vocals would enrich the sound even more. So, while recording, I approached it as if it were a scene from a drama. I felt a sense of exhilaration while focusing on capturing the emotions during vocal recording, and it was the best part for me.

“Let Me Love You”:

Young K: Listening to the mood and melody of the song, it felt lovely but also somewhat empty. There’s a hint of melancholy in the chorus. I think we wrote the lyrics based on those feelings. The key point would be the speaker’s confidence.

“didn’t know”:

SUNGJIN: Our fans have given us endless trust and love, so it’s impossible for us to say we “didn’t know” their love. Rather, the song portrays the realization that “after time has passed, looking back, it was love.” Personally, I love the lyrics and title that say “didn’t know that it was your love” as they represent complex emotions.
