📍 Sanuki Kokubunji (讃岐国分寺), Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture
Sanuki Kokubunji is Temple 80 of the Shikoku Pilgrimage. It’s located in Takamatsu, the capital of Kagawa Prefecture. This area was once home to the old provincial temple system of Japan.
These photos show some of the temple’s key features, including statues, shrines, and symbolic gates. One statue is Fudō Myōō, the fierce guardian with sword and rope, framed by swirling flames. Another image shows a happy, round-bellied Hotei statue—one of the Seven Lucky Gods. You’ll also see a red torii gate, part of a smaller shrine within the temple grounds.
The golden figure of Kōbō Daishi reminds us this whole pilgrimage honors his memory. The bright red torii marks a sacred space, often linked with Shinto shrines. Butsuzō (Buddhist statues) like Juichimen Kannon, the main deity here, offer peace to those who stop and pray.

Also sharing a playlist I made to process my draconity, because I tend to make those to help me process shit.
All the songs on here are pretty much just stuff that reminds me of the woods, and stuff that lyrically feels very similar to how I percieve myself. I wanted to keep it all under a similar vibe, so I didn't add a few other songs I feel describe my nonhumanity, mostly in the way of the trauma and neurodivergence that I suspect has a hand in my identity.
#i hope y'all like all my dronescape/dark ambient. it's my favorite genre. so there's a LOT of it lmao#dragonkin#dragon therian#otherkin#nonhuman#alterhuman#spotify#playlist#my playlist#music#scintillations.#dragonfire.#Spotify

Unpenji Temple (雲辺寺) – Highest Point on the Shikoku Pilgrimage
Unpenji Temple is the 66th temple on the sacred Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage, perched atop Unpenji Mountain at an elevation of roughly 900 meters (2,950 feet). It’s the highest point on the entire pilgrimage route, offering sweeping views across Shikoku’s rugged landscape.
Located on the border of Tokushima and Kagawa Prefectures, Unpenji is often referred to as the “Kōya of Shikoku”, echoing the revered Mount Kōya — a place where monks have long gathered to reflect, meditate, and take in the beauty of nature from above.
