I decided now was the time to make this recap video because I've just crossed the border into Canada and am embarking on part II of my journey to Alaska.

I have a list of favorite places and add to it all the time. I've met some incredible people, but mostly I've met myself. Free, with heart open. This is a feeling I never want to lose.

You are never too old to try new things or to chase your dreams. Don't let other peoples' fears stop you from doing things you know you are capable of. It's just you and you at the end of the day anyways, so make yourself proud, and do the dream.

Hello from Ziz Valley! 🇲🇦⛰️💧😺🏍️

The Ziz River runs through Morocco into Algeria. The source of the river comes from the High Atlas mountains in Morocco and flows south 282 kilometers/ or 175 miles into the Sahara Desert in Algeria. Some of the river runs through rocky dry terrain, but in other areas there are lush palm trees and vegetation where whole villages live near the water source depending on it for survival.

I used the word oasis prior to my moto journey, but never truly grasped what it meant until I came to Morocco. Imagine you are riding through land so arid that no matter how much water you drink, you always feel dehydrated. If a car runs over some dried mud, it kicks up dust and you are soon covered in it and breathe it all in, skin, nose and eyes. But alas, your eyes detect blue. And the contrast of this color against the brown landscape is such a joy to your body. To be able to see color, take in the contrast and comprehend life comes from it is such an interesting deduction process.

We’ve been taking Mosko’s Wildcat 12L backpack on several of our adventures over the last year or so. Besides its durability, Mosko put a lot of thought into comfort, incorporating an ultra-plush back pad and a well thought out shoulder harness with a myriad of adjustments to get a perfect fit. The pack offers plenty of functionality too, including a fleece-lined top pocket for full-sized goggles or sunglasses, an adjustable beaver tail pocket for storing spare layers and gloves, a Velcro loop for securing a tripod or folding saw, several different organizing slots and zipper pockets, a 3-liter Hydrapack water bladder, plus there’s a built-in holder in front for your GPS messenger so it’s always handy in an accident. What really sets this backpack apart though is its expandability. First off, you have a Molle panel on the back that allows you to securely attach anything from first aid kits to fuel bottles. There’s also an optional chest rig attachment that snaps on to offer expanded capacity. The chest rig has proven to be perfect for carrying items you want to have quick access to off the bike like a walkie talkie, multi tool, zip ties, duct tape, maps, pen and notepad just to name a few.
