At this point, I don’t want some 23andme surprise from Misha and Alex. I want them to be invited by a secret, long-lost relative to a mansion where they and four other lost cousins have to solve clues and survive the night in order to win an inheritance. It’s only right.

For happy hour - Dominic Calvert-Lewin cheering you up by being silly and goofy, because you’ve had one of those days where nothing is going right (you broke something important at work, spilt coffee over your boss, kept dropping things and injuring yourself) - one of those days where you really should have stayed in bed all day 😅
(P.S. Hope you’re doing okay, sending hugs xxx)
God, today has been a n i g h t m a r e, everything that could possibly have gone wrong went wrong, from somehow managing to break the photocopier just by pressing the ‘on’ button, to spilling boiling hot coffee over your boss, to slicing your finger open on your water bottle, you’ve well and truly ticked every single mishap off the list, coming home to Dom and immediately bursting into tears over how much of a tit you’ve made yourself out to look, sobbing about how you’re gonna have to hand your notice in and how you’ll have to find a job elsewhere, and bless him he’s trying to cheer you up and make you realise that accidents happen, reeling off a list of highly embarrassing dad jokes before acting out random scenes from Eastenders, all to put a smile back on your face after what has been the worst day of your existence so far

SPN S15 Mini-Review (brimming with praise tho)
I've decided not to live-chat this year & instead watch every episode alone with a glass of wine & this expression on my face
Tumblr media
(replace the little chick with the glass of wine)
I loved everything about this premiere and it's an understatement to say I'm sad we only have 19 episodes left to go.
The Kansas Watch Party was amazing. This is me freaking out over The Darkness the Impala & Yurtle, Charlie's yellow Gremlin:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And here was the VIP bag o goodies (they killed it!)
Tumblr media
Episode Highlights
Dean's stupid knock knock jokes while tending to Sam's wounds makes me wanna cry. Not because it's sad but just, I have b r o t h e r e m o t i o n s. I also kinda like the knock knock joke canon over counting from last year's ep (the "you always put me first all your life" scene) because counting is a bit remedial.... although maybe it's just as great if I consider it a thing they only did if there was risk of a concussion/head trauma. That would make sense so nevermind!
Castiel's exasperated disappointment over Sam shooting him was hilarious. Also "well I wouldn't starve." 😂 Also the cold open with Castiel picking Jack up and running with him 😭
For more Jack feels, Dean saying he was their kid. Fuuuck 😭😭😭
Moving on, Calvert's wiseguy-esque demon is absurd, mesmerizing, and just plain fun! I'm embracing this role because we already know from last year's finale that Jack's rolling around in the empty and we'll see him again. In the meantime we can totally enjoy Balfagar (if I heard that correctly). Edit correction: Belphegor, oof I was so close
I love the conclusion Sam spelled out to Dean about how Chuck losing interest in them means they could finally be free of his influence/plans. There's so many layers of meta that I'm not gonna occupy myself with right now because what matters most to me: this is a fantastic goal with a lot of potential plots. They don't wish to defeat their antagonist, or win something, but to escape.
...well okay, maybe I will entertain one meta thought.
The Quickest Meta: it's established Chuck represents the show and canon, and that if Sam and Dean manage to get Chuck to move on from them, they can finally be free and canon, the show, will end.
They're still fictional characters though, so where is their freedom? How do they carry on?
My hopes involve the writers suggesting the characters are trying to escape Chuck, canon, the spn writer's room, in favor of all the options, transformations, permutations, continuations of Supernatural that fans generate in fanfiction. That Team Free Will's ultimate escape is in the creative freedom of the masses that love them and write them for fun, not the few in the writer's room that are additionally limited by time, budget, popular opinion, and television censorship.
I so desire for Supernatural to leave a lovely message to its fans like that, full acknowledgement and shameless encouragement for us to continue Sam and Dean and Castiel's stories in eleventy billion different ways for years to come even after canon ends.
Endnotes: Sitting in a hotel lobby in Lawrence, Kansas writing this up and giving myself the warm fuzzies thinking about all the love and goodwill between everyone that could happen by the end of this season.
Wait, shit, now I wanna cry again. 😢
