mizai takes place in a cute little university au!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dazai is majoring in literature (he's so pretentious i love him so bad) and i am an art major!!!!!!! this is how i get to live out my silly dreams okay lmao so i'm thinking about studying pottery or something!!!!!!!!!

and and and since the they're all so very important to me i also need to tell you that chuuya is also an art major, he's doing classical painting (but he takes some pottery classes with me and that's how we met:333). kunikida is ofc gonna be a teacher, so he's studying education aaaaaaaaaaand fedya is... a psychology major. i'm scared of him a little i won't even lie.

AAAAANYWAYYY MIZAII:333 he pretty much just lives at my place; he does have an apartment but it's super small and he just.. doesn't like it there. so he has his own key and he's free to come and go whenever he wants!!!!!!! when i say 'go' i'm actually lying bc he really is just always at my place,, like i come home and he's there. i wake up and he's there. i go to take a piss and then come out only to be met with him laying on my couch. he's weird like that i love him sm.

i also have a cat!!!!!!!!! well i mean my irl cat is just canon in the mizai world hehehee and ooooooooh my god dazai loves him so much. and shrimp really fucking likes him too (so much so that i get jealous sometimes.. ) my cat is very talkative and so is dazai so there's just constant meowing going on. and well sadly, i am no better okay i am a meower too......................... we have a proper fucking cat choir going on smh i wonder if the neighbors hate us...................

though we're both big talkers, one of our favourite things to do is literally just parallel play. he's laid out on my bed like the princess that he is with his newest book while i sit behind my desk, typing away at whatever it is that i'm writing at the moment and it's just sooo so comfortable. and then after we decide that we've been productive enough we always go to the little cafe that we both love and then go to chuuya's just to bother him a bit (he loves us) >:333333333

whenever we're out taking the bus or the train, we're sitting shoulder to shoulder while sharing earphones!!!!!!!!! he rests his head against mine and fidgets with my fingers while i choose the music<333333

oh and neither of us can sleep alone btw. we both struggle with sleep all around but it's not that bad when we're together. it's like thing apparently too you know? that like you get sleepy when you're around a person you really feel safe with? so yeah... we take a lot of naps together it's kind of like a shared love language of ours!!!!!!

OMFG WAIT I ALSO NEED TO ADD THAT UHH ODA IS HERE TOO. HE'S DAZAI'S FAVOURITE PROFESSOR. AAAAAAAAAAAAA oda loves him sm... he loves hearing all of dazai's ideas and his takes and they talk after the lectures all the time too. they actually even go to grab a coffee every now and then. dazai just really really loves talking to him and sometimes (read: every time) he comes home after seeing him, he's sooo happy:((( he has the biggest smile on my face as he just plops down on top of me and starts retelling everything they talked about with oda:(((((((((((((((((((((((((( AAAAAAAHHH CARINAA I LOVE HIM SOOO SO BADDDDD I'M GONNA DIEEEEE

he once kinda dragged me into one of oda's classes too and i was so scared that he'll throw me out bc well.. i'm not supposed to be there but then he was just checking who's there and who's not and his eyes met mine before moving to dazai's twinkling ones and he just smiled and let me be there anyway. (he would literally never throw me out)(btw i fear that.. dazai... yaps about me to him too.............. )

Doe pauses on the first step, bracing herself for the climb. She takes a moment to peer out the window, searching for any sign of the storm letting up. No chance, she thinks to herself. 

She’s about to make her way up the stairs when a flash of lightning strikes just outside the small, circular window. Her head snaps to look beyond the glass, just in time to see the silhouette of someone – a man – standing outside, pelted by the rain. 

Doe’s eyes go wide. She presses herself against the wall, hiding from the sightline of the double-paned glass. Her heart begins to race. I’m just seeing things, she thinks to herself. Clearing her head with a gentle shake, she turns to continue up the stairs. 

BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM 

Doe freezes at the pounding on the door. 

The banging sounds again a moment later, echoing through the small space. 

Doe considers her options. They may find their way in eventually, if she doesn’t answer. Had they seen her? Of course they’d seen her – they must’ve been only a few paces behind her when she’d gone out into the storm. Dammit, she mutters to herself, warily making her way back down the stairs. 

She hesitates, hand trembling over the handle of the door. Stomach lurching, she pulls it open. 

Thunder cracks, followed immediately by another flash of lightning as Doe peers through the narrow space between the door and the frame.  “Oh, hello,” the pale elven man says in greeting. Doe studies the delicate points of his ears, the striking shade of his eyes that she can’t quite place in the dark light. He flashes a dazzling smile, full of pristine white teeth. There’s something devious about this man, but Doe can’t help but feel entranced by his gaze.  “My apologies for the intrusion. I was hoping to come across a friendly face – but I wasn’t counting on one so stunning as yours.”

Heat blooms in her cheeks at that; she so rarely sees anyone on this godsforsaken rock, let alone someone so charming.

But charming can be dangerous.

She braces herself against the door. Somehow, despite the storm, she can hear him perfectly clearly. She longs for a hot soak and her warm bed; the chill has set in and she trembles, trying to remember what warmth feels like.

If I leave him out there, he could die in the storm.

Her conscience would not allow it. Besides, she thinks, if he tries to kill me he'll have a hard job of it.

'There are pirates in these parts,' she says coolly, heaving open the door. Water streams from the frame as she does so, the ominous groan of metal going right through her bones. 'You're in luck, stranger. I'm in the habit of helping strays. Come inside before you catch your death. There's a hot meal and a warm bath into the bargain if you promise not to kill me in my sleep.'

Let’s close with what could be a fun one, if and when it gets confirmed. Team Penske’s Scott McLaughlin took to social media this week to tease his need to learn Daytona’s roval circuit, and from what I’ve learned, he’ll be competing in his first Rolex 24 At Daytona in January in the LMP2 class. Even better, I’m told it will be a #BusBros-themed driver lineup with Penske teammate Josef Newgarden in the same car. And if that isn’t enough of a party, the final bit might be the coolest of all as McLaughlin and Newgarden are said to be continuing their LMP2 adventure together after Daytona where they’re meant to make their debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the middle of June on the great endurance event’s 100th anniversary. From conversations I’ve been part of regarding IndyCar-grade drivers being considered for factory GTP seats at major endurance races, most manufacturers have been very strict in their requirements for the McLaughlins and Newgardens of the world to first gain experience in similar cars at big events before the door would opened to racing in those factory cars at Daytona, Sebring, and Le Mans. This has a similar feel. Assuming everything moves forward for Penske’s IndyCar stars at Daytona and Le Mans 2023 – and it’s with an excellent LMP2 team – I would not be surprised to see their names listed as enduro drivers with the Porsche Penske Motorsport GTP program or one of its customer teams in 2024.

amber eyes gazed upon the clouds fogging the peaks of liyue’s mountains. a gentle breeze rustled his dark locks and dragon-embroidered coat, a sense of serenity ever present on his expression, yet betrayed by the rumbling earth beneath his feet.

a geo crystalfly fluttered and landed on his extended finger; the creature’s glimmering wings flapping slowly as it rested on its momentary perch.

waiting was something he was used to doing, yet sometimes the restlessness plagues his immortal mind.

he could feel the geo constructs around him reverberating; holy statues infused with geo, the amber stones, the cor lapis reserves — like ripples on water, it continued on and on until eventually it dissipated. had he worn his draconic form, perhaps his horns too would have visibly responded to the resonance.

the man chuckled, a gloved hand absentmindedly toying with the collar of his clothes. the mark hidden underneath seeming to tingle.

the mortals would be glad to know that the earthquakes and stormy weather in the neighboring nation will be stopping soon.

It was a strange feeling, to feel like an outsider at your own homeland, even moreso when people greeted you and called you along the street markets from the harbor and into the residential areas of the city.

Crys looked around at everything and everyone, her neck straining already like a nervous animal, her ears flickering in different directions. Everything felt vaguely familiar and she walked along the stone paths flawlessly threading around without even noticing. Kazuha followed along with a knowing smile. He didn't utter a single word as to not distract her even more but he could see they were approaching Feiyun slope.

"Oh... I know this place. Xigu antiques sells all kinds of expensive items... and that's Xinyue kiosk my favorite restaurant... hm... and if you go through there you'll get to-"

"Crys?! Oh Crys there you are!" A young woman with dark hair and glasses rushes up to her. A man with silver hair follows her more calmly, a little immersed in a book though he looks up at her. Kazuha and him cross stares. "I've been worried sick, are you ok? what happened?"

"A-ah..." Her ears droop. "I'm sorry I... I got lost. I lost my memories. I don't remember who you are, my apologies."

Her friend's eyes widen. "Lost... your memories?"

"It's... a very long story. She was in inazuma and seems like a youkai trick got the best of her, my name is Kazuha." The ronin introduces himself.

"I'm Meirin. But... i-it can be reversed right? You can go back to normal?" She asks worried.

"Rin..." Crys murmurs, as if the name rang a bell in her subconscious.

"Yes." Kazuha replies instead. "It's part of why we're here, Crys is getting better but according to Lady Guuji of the Grand Narukami Shrine her name was stolen, and the only way to break the spell is for her to remember it. Her true name, I mean."

"Stealing a name?"

"I've read about that before once or twice." The silver haired man interjects. "Stealing the victim's identities and giving them a new one that grants them control over the individual, eventually making them forget all about their lives and follow along with fabricated memories."

"Ugh" Meirin places a hand at her forehead. "And isn't just that what we've been trying to figure out habibi?" She steals a glance at the man "So, it's not Spring Bringer, right?"

"That's..." Crys blinks. "Part of who I am yes, but... so you don't know either?" She asks defeated.

"In Sumerian legends about Djinn only their master or those close to them knew of their real name, for it would grant them a certain control over the Djinn." He places a hand at his chin pensively. "It seems similar to some tales about Liyue's Yakshas so perhaps the same principle applies."

Crys places a hand at her shoulder absentmindedly. Someone close to her... one of her mates?

"Guuji Yae did say the other adepti would help her."

"In that case we need to head to Jueyun Karst?"

"Wait! There's someone else, someone who can definitely help!" Meirin says nervously. "but we need to find him first, ah, I wonder if it worked..."

"There's no need to fret."

That deep smooth voice. It resonates with her.

Crys turns, instinctively attracted like a crystalfly to the thrum of elemental energy.

Both hers and Meirin's geo visions glow slightly.

There stands a tall man in elegant dark clothes, long chocolate hair tied in a low ponytail and amber eyes sharp and warm. He approaches at a calm pace, arms behind his back in perfect posture and a smile on his lips. Crys doesn't know why but her heart flips in her chest.
