yourusername welcome back to my postgame penalty box update show: i finally saw a mason marchment fight live and quinn was also there edition!

after quinn's personal record of three trips to the penalty box night, he decided to be good! this was probably due to the fact that i will fight him over any penalty against the stars (hey, remember when you committed interference against robo on february 27th last season? because i sure do), but we'll pretend it was because he's trying to redeem himself since my baby daddy trevy-z is at zero. the war is strong with these two!

you know who did get a penalty? one of my new besties wyatt "johnny" johnston! his penalty was for holding mikheyev in the second period! (holding penalties aren't ones i hold grudges against, so you're in the clear! but also you do nothing wrong ever, so i wouldn't hold it against you anyways) (p.s. i wouldn't have been mad if you fought garly... i was kinda rooting for it)

other penalties include: (in time order) digi for holding against another new bestie harls, mr. captain jamie benn for hooking soucy which created 39 seconds of 4 on 4, craig smith for hooking friedman, and laffy taffy for hooking wyatt's dad joe pavelski all in the first, esa lindell for cross checking garly, hronek for high sticking my blonde prince roope hintz (he got reprimanded for this), and our two fighting majors between the blue eyed menace mason marchment and ian! (mason got an extra minor for unsportsmanlike behavior) (ian was reprimanded for his hit against matt "dutchy" duchene that started the fight)

my best friend, quintin, pulled a jacky boy and fell over nothing! the conversation between the stars broadcasters went like this:

razor: "he was having a moment back there!"

bogo: "he was playing billiards off the bottom of the net to himself!"

razor: "well, he wiped out first!"

needless to say, i was laughing my ass off when i rewatched this game!

special shoutout to demmer for continuing his perfect win streak against the stars and getting his second shut out of the season! i’m so proud of you @/tdemko35 ! (for those who don't know, he has a 7-0-0 record and just gave otter his first regulation loss of the season :))

quinny, i’m going to publicly say i’m sorry that otter caught every one of your shots on goal <3 and i’m proud of your 25 minutes and 23 seconds of hard work tonight! i love you way past infinity💙 keep it up, buttercup!

Yan!HOTD Au, what if Viserys made the reader his heir instead of Rhaenyra?

With the death of the queen and Young Baelon dying not long after; The succession of the king came to question.

Despite Daemon being the expected heir, the council divided over the matter but cut short when Viserys demanded that no further discussion be held.

Before so, Otto proposed the king's firstborn child or, more specifically, his second child as a potential heir.

Lyonel laughs in disbelief, saying it's one thing to have a female heir, but to have a second child as an heir is just absurd. Tyland also scoffs at the notion; it’s insulting enough that the king made the realm accept you as his child. However, he refrains from saying it out loud, mindful of the last man whose tongue was cut off for making such remarks courtesy of the rogue prince.

When Daemon did what he did, coining young Baelon as "heir for a day," it was the final nail in the coffin.

In such a short time, Viserys has demanded to see you. As you face the black dread skull, Viserys shares with you Aegon's prophecy and his dream of a song of ice and fire.

In an instant that would forever change your life, he named you his heir.

You are dressed for the coronation by Rhaenyra and Alicent. When Alicent notices your trembling hands, she tells you to take deep breaths as Rheanyra reaches for your hands. Rhaenyra’s eyes are tinged with sadness, but she still gives you a smile. 

Your father is seated on the iron throne behind you as you stand in front of the court. Every lord bows down, swearing fealty but you can see their hesitation and disbelief. The first man who seemed sincere in his fealty was the sea snake.

Otto appears pleased as you look over the court, and Alicent smiles at you in support. Rhaenyra is standing close by and nodding as well, though her eyes still carry a hint of sadness. Rhaenys gives you a look that you're not sure whether it's one of worry or pride.

You finally turn to face your father, he's beaming with pride, and you can't help but become teary-eyed.

With Otto, he always thought he had your best interests in mind. Otto felt the need to make choices for you as you were still a child. Never mind the fact you were going to become a queen one day. Rhaenyra is the one who pushes you to speak up for yourself.

While Rhaenys counsels that the only way you'll gain respect is if you demonstrate, you can command the room. To others, Rhaenys may seem envious or harsh, but she’s genuinely looking out for you.

In the meantime, your father will have to marry again, and you better pray it won't be a son. After all, as history has shown, men will rather put a torch to the throne than have a woman sit on it. Rhaenys also says this to Corly, who assures her that it won't ever happen and that if it does, the fleet and army of Driftmark will be at your service.

Many anticipate that Daemon will be furious that a young girl was chosen over him, taking his claim. Daemon may harbor some resentment, but he will swear allegiance to you; never can he hate you. Whoever doubts your ability will have to answer to him.

When Alicent wed your father and gave birth to a son named Aegon. Given that Aegon may one day become his successor, they all expected you to despise him. Instead, they all look on with disbelief as they watch you play with the boy.

As previously mentioned, everyone anticipates Viserys to cast you aside and choose Aegon as his heir, but he refuses to do so. He promises you he will never go back on his word.

Alicent tells her father that she will never allow her son to steal the birthright from his sister. Otto responds she won't have to, which only confuses Alicent further because he also says that Aegon will still be king.

Alicent didn't comprehend what her father meant until Aegon reached adulthood, and she realized that by making Aegon king, he will have Aegon wed you.

However, as Aegon develops into the man he's, Aemond emerges as the better choice. They were unaware that Aemond overheard the conversation and took their words to heart. He already did, but he started devoting more of his days to sword training and studying philosophy and history.

Being married to you entails becoming a king consort, but Aemond didn't mind; in fact, he didn't mind you holding power alongside him as a sort of advisor. 

History has portrayed you as a good queen who ruled peacefully, but mushroom has claimed that you occasionally displayed cruelty and that Aemond was the whispering devil on your shoulder.

Mallari is a good horror film. Piolo Pascual plays 3 characters and he is amazing in each of them. The story kept me glued to the screen. The audience screamed, cheered, clapped, and was very engaged from start to finish. Great theatrical experience. I hope it goes on OTT so I can watch it again soon.. it's a great historical gothic film. Not perfect but the storyline is tight and the different time periods are linked together perfectly.

Gomburza is a well-acted historical film. Now I understand why Cedrick Juan won the Best Actor award for MMFF 2023. He acted the heck out of his role as Padre Jose Burgos. Also, watching this film was like watching a character study - not of one particular named character but the character of a Filipino and how that term came to be and the spark of the revolution that would define our history. Don't compare it to Heneral Luna. That one was another great and spectacular movie, but its fire is different. Gomburza is more of a slow burn, taking its time to lay down the foundations of what the country fought for and the unifying idea that drove it -- the identity of the Filipinos.

Memorable lines include (paraphrased out of memory):

"No indio will rebel. We [the Church] taught them to be obedient."

"... ill-fated and cursed people?" (Malas at sinumpang bayan)

These were the lines that really made me teary-eyed. You already know why, considering the many things plaguing our country.

In any case, it's a movie everyone should watch. I also encourage viewers to watch it with a critical mind, knowing the role of the Church in the fight for independence during the Spanish colonial era.

Michael Sheen is tremendous as NHS founder Aneurin Bevan, even if the play’s fear of bio-drama cliches gets a bit much

The British, in case you hadn’t noticed, tend to get a little sentimental about the NHS. 

So it’s understandable that playwright Tim Price and director Rufus Norris are wary of dewy-eyed hagiography when approaching ‘Nye’, a new biographical drama about Aneurin Bevan, the firebrand Labour health minister who founded the service. With the title role played by the great Michael Sheen, there is a danger of going OTT in having the nation’s favourite current Welshman star as the nation’s favourite historical Welshman. And so Norris’s production has a determinedly trippy quality intended to counter the cliches.

Billed as an ‘epic Welsh fantasia’, ‘Nye’ is largely presented as the stream-of-consciousness of an older Bevan, who is a patient in one of his own hospitals. There for an ulcer operation, he drifts in and out of the present and into recollections of his past, unaware he is dying of stomach cancer – something his MP wife Jennie Lee (Sharon Small) has determinedly kept from him.

Crowned by a truly uncanny wig, Sheen is a delight as the fiery but unassuming Bevan. He never at any point changes out of his red striped pyjamas, a pleasingly absurdist touch at the heart of Norris’s stylish production, in which the green hospital ward repeatedly dissolves into the past to the sound of wheezing lungs. 

It’s otherworldly in places, especially the scene where Tony Jayawardena’s overbearing Churchill collars Bevan in the Commons and groups of teacup-clutching MPs try to eavesdrop, moving like insectoid predators under Stephen Hoggett and Jess WIlliams’s unsettling choreography.

Really, though, once you get past all the cool stuff, you’re left with a fairly conventional drama, jumbled up. Bevan’s memories of the past come at us in roughly chronological order. There’s a definite artistic licence at work as we see schoolboy Nye - still played by Sheen - overcome a bullying teacher and absorb his local library, hungry to find synonyms for words that trigger his stammer, setting himself on the path to becoming a great orator. But the meat of ‘Nye’ does lie with relatively factual accounts of incidents from Bevan’s life - his scenes in Parliament are particularly riveting, as he is doggedly determined to criticise Churchill’s wartime government, to the chagrin of his boss Clement Atlee (Stephanie Jacob).

I understand the logic in, say, not having Sheen simply parrot Bevan’s big speeches to rabble-rousing effect. But all the hopping around leaves ‘Nye’ somewhat lacking in connective material. It’s never especially clear, for instance, why Bevan is so much more radical and uncompromising than his Labour colleagues. It sometimes feels like we’re seeing his life on shuffle, when a straight playthrough might have said all the same things, but more clearly.

Don’t get me wrong, if it had been a balls-trippingly weird avant-garde odyssey I’d have doubtless been all over it. There’s a big mid-show song and dance number that hints at a much weirder production. Unfortunately, this production never emerges. It feels like ‘Nye’ desperately wants to avoid looking like an Inspirational Drama About The Founder Of Our NHS, but doesn’t have a clear formal plan beyond that.

However, if the whole isn’t quite there, most of the individual scenes are scintillating. And there’s no sense of embarrassment from Sheen, who is magnetic as Bevan - a decent, even slightly bewildered man, who nonetheless feels pathologically drawn to doing the right thing, no matter the odds.

Go and watch Barbie!

I watched Barbie yesterday in a preview. Was super happy to see a sold out theatre and many women dressing up in shades of pink! That’s the way to go!

I loved the movie! I laughed a lot but it’s also hitting a lot of emotional beats incredibly well and I was a bit teary-eyed towards the end.

The actors are indeed sublime! Margot Robbie is Barbie, she’s truly perfect for the role and gives an amazing, genuine performance. Ryan Gosling steals the show a bit because his Ken is just so OTT in everything he does, the himbo Kenergy is strong in this one! Both their characters go through their own arcs, which I didn’t expect to this extent and am quite pleased with.

Stand outs in the supporting cast were America Ferrera (who gives a roaring speech halfway through the movie that made part of my audience actually clap), Issa Rae as president Barbie, Simu Liu as Ken’s rival Ken, and Michael Cera as Allan.

Production and costume design are gorgeous, music is used in super fun ways, Ken’s song scene is actually quite a bit longer and a true masterpiece, and it has a really good message.

This movie is feminist and political in the best way, though I wouldn’t call it radical by any means – it takes digs at everyone and I’m actually pretty sure I missed a lot of little background gags and the like. I do have some minor nitpicks, but they didn’t hinder my enjoyment of the movie at all.

Hello tumblr! Szerintem még nem írtam filmkritikát ide ezelőtt, de mindenre megvan az első alkalom.

A mai filmünk az új 2024 március 14-én bemutatott Most vagy Soha!

Az élmények még nagyon frissek, de sajnos azt kell bevallanom hogy nekem tetszett a film. Tudom, meglepő, hogy úgy kell beharangozni azt, hogy valami tetszik, hogy "sajnos".

Ezt többek között a film IMBT értékelése miatt monom ami kemény 1.1 csillagon áll az én filmkritikám megírásakor.

Voltam sikeres abban a szituációban lenni, hogy fogalmam sem volt a filmmel kapcsolatos akármilyen reklámozási vagy gyártási információról. Tehát ilyen szempontból a véleményem független.

Na akkor most a filmről:

Nekem tetszett. Történelmi film ami egyik legfontosabb eseményünket dolgozza fel. Számomra megtette azt az egyetlen dolgot, amit egy történelmi filmnek meg kellet tennie. Felkelteni az érdeklődésemet a benne lejáttszódó események és a benne szereplő személyek iránt. Mivel még nem végeztem nagyon mély kutatást a Március 15-ei forradalommal kapcsolatban, így nem tudok a történelmi hűségéről beszélni. (Annyival tisztában vagyok hogy a nem forradalmi szál teljesen fiktív volt.)

Vizuálisan nagyon ott volt, a kosztümök és a díszlet megadta a hangulatot. A színészjátékkal szemben nincsenek kivetéseim. A vágással sem. A zenei aláfestés is nagyon illet. A kritika amit ezekre hallottam az a túlhasznált volt ami szerintem ha nem vagy nagy moziba járós akkor nem fog feltűnni.

A cselekmény érdekes volt. Igen, ez nem egy olyan film volt ami igényelte a folyamatos figyelmedet és agyi munkádat. Ami nem egy rossz dolog! Vitatkozhatunk arról hogy egy történelmi filmnek minek kell és minek nem kell lennie, de nagyobb nézőcsoporthoz való elérés érdekében valamire áldozni kell.

A karakterek nem annyira elmélyítettek ami a forgatókönyvön van és nem a színészeken, bár hozzátenném, hogy mélységet adni amikor egy ekkora szereplő gárdával dolgozol, nem éppen a legkönnyebb feladat. Ezt kijelenthetem, mert ismerem a helyzetet. Nem is nevezném túlzottan realisztikusnam az elvárást, úgy hogy ne térjünk el nagyon a fő történet száltól.

Újranézős-e a film? Talán. Én biztosan újranézném majd a jövőben (feltehetőleg egy füzettel amiben a történelmi személyekről és az eseményekről vannak hosszú jegyzeteim).

A filmek szubjektívek, valaki szemete más aranya és így tovább. Mindenesetre nekem inspirációt adott egy kis írói szösszenetemhez és motivációt, hogy kezembe vegyek egy Jókai Mór könyvet.

Fenntartom a véleményem megváltoztatásának jogát és remélem, hogy nektek is tetszeni fog legalább egy kicsit ez a film.

My Top Ranking 30 BL’s couples of the year 2022...

Whilst compiling this list I noticed a few similarities between the couples chosen; that being not many “gay panic” or “closeted gays” like in previous years In fact a lot of these characters were either established gay characters from the first episode, as well as less of the “gay for only him” troupe. Most of these couples were in a supporting, not necessary toxic relationship, with not a cheating plot in sight but some miscommunication and stupid decisions for drama, Another difference is the setting, from high-school aged boys to business men in suits. We are finally getting good older male characters and storylines. But overall the reason for the top couples came down to chemistry between the actors and how supportive each couple was towards each other in their own carved out world. 

Note 1: eligibility for the list is the drama had to be completed by the end of 22. Note 2: Only the top 5 are ranked, the others are mentions. 

Vee x Mark (Love Mechanics). 

It’s Love Mechanics. It’s YinWar. It’s Vee and Mark as characters that came to life. Enough said, waited two years and finally they had their moment. Now quickly give Yin and War another drama, either as a pairing or solo work. 

Tarntatch x Lomnaw (2 Moons 3: The Ambassador)

A very big surprise, considering was going to skip the drama since it seemed like every other run-of-the-mill Thai BL, however not the characters of Tatch and Lom who made the drama. Tatch, in particular I loved as a character cause although he was put on a pedestal for being handsome he is actually very insecure and spends most of the time getting Lom to see his self-worth and supporting him. Not to mention the boys flirting game was on point and when drama did come in the form of Lom’s cousin disapproval both were like “well we don’t care” and just continued to live in bliss in their own world. Relationship goals. 

Thian x Jiu (To Sir, with Love)

This was a soap-opera in name; with OTT acting, very dramatic storylines and cartoonish villainy but what made the drama was the chemistry between the two leads and the best sibling-love-bromance ever in a drama. The drama was carried with the grounded love story between our star-crossed lovers. Rumour has it that the actors will be pairing again in something darker in the new year, hopefully this is true. 

Ploeng x Yu (My Coach)

They might have only been supporting characters, but damn if I didn’t love their story and easily one the best coming out scenes in the Thai BL history. Once again this was a couple that came to the realisation of their feelings naturally and slowly progressed into a relationship. There was a little bit of a nudge nudge wink wink with the green-eyed-monster but overall the way Ploeng just announces to the team and whole world he is in love with Yu, like its no big deal, is my favourite moment of the year. 

Kamol x Kim (Unforgotten Night)

This final position was hard, cause so many good dramas could have gone here. Let’s start with Unforgotten Night, which was a hot disaster but like a car crash happening couldn’t advert my attention and naturally my love for the characters, storyline and actors made me love this drama. Couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve re-watched this during the year (too many). 

Jang Jae Young x Chu Sang Woo (Semantic Error)

Another country that delivered on this year was South Korea, between Blueming, To My Star 2 and Happy Ending Romance, to name but a few it was a hard choice but ultimately the script and chemistry of the co-stars made Semantic Error stand out, ever slightly. What Korean BL’s are known for is storytelling, and Semantic Error did that the best and also chef kiss to the height difference. . 

Nozue x Togawa (Old Fashion Cupcake)

Japan BL’s are best known for their authentic slice-of-life storylines (and melancholy in some cases) and that was on display with Old Fashion Cupcake. They also win with more mature-themed BL’s like office romance and older couples. Everything about this drama from the pining, to the realisation, to the acceptance was beautifully shot and acted. Such is this polished miniseries that left you wanting more.

but like. that said—the more 'Geralt Must Grovel for Weeks and Probably Scourge Himself, Look at What He Did to Poor Sad-Eyed Woobie Jaskier' fics i read the more i'm fucking grateful for the tiny handful where jaskier's just been like, yeah, i never bought that bullshit tbh, he was lashing out and he owes me an apology for sure but a single angry outburst does not in fact scupper an extremely well-established relationship of literally twenty years' standing in one fell swoop???

like i just. idk. imagine remembering that jaskier's a cheery irrepressible little shit and not actually as crushably low on self-esteem as all of us are. of course that would probably require *netflix* to have remembered that, so, you know, no actual shade to anyone who's been projecting that onto him! but just like. idk. they're obviously not siblings but they honestly do have that vibe in certain ways and it's just like. did you never say something overdramatic and shitty in the heat of a fight with yr sibling growing up and then after taking a bit of a breather just like. make a rueful face and apologize for yr respective roles in winding each other up and move tf on, without having, like, a whole extended OTT reparations process where you tell them repeatedly how perfect and sinless they are and how you know you're a miserable worm who doesn't remotely deserve their sunshiny presence in your life but would be so grateful if they could, possibly, somehow, see their way to forgiving you despite yr essential unworthiness—

SRI LANKA - beszámoló 🌴

Egy baráti társasággal (7 fő) vágtunk neki utunknak Márti Kozák (facebook csoport) szervezésében. 07.27-én indultunk a Fly Dubai járatával a késő esti órakban, Dubaiban volt az átszállás. Terminal 2 volt a váróterem a továbbutazáshoz, kb 12 h várakozási idő volt. Itt a légkondi a maxon, kisebb terminál, a városba azonban minden további nélkül be lehetett jó áron taxizni. Mivel utóbbi időben falom a könyveket én az előbbit választottam, csak a hideg tényleg elviselhetetlen volt.

A fly dubai repülőgépeken a telefont tölteni lehet, a filmek pénzbe kerülnek. Vacsorát mindkét járaton kaptunk, főétel (húsos illetve húsmentes, saláta, zsemle vajjal, desszert, 1 dl víz). Az ülések dönthetőek voltak. Lábtérre nem volt panaszunk.

Odaérve az idegenvezetőnk, Pra már várt ránk. A reptéren vettünk internet kártyát (kb 3.000 ft volt), ott be is üzemelték helyben, kb 20 perc utazás volt a hotelba légkondis kisbusszal.

Az első szállásunk medencével és közvetlen óceán kapcsolattal is rendelkezett. Jó volt végre megpihenni kicsit.

Másnap Napközben Colombo városnézésre volt lehetőség az idegenvezetővel, többen a beach bárban élveztük az 1.000 forintos koktélokat. Vacsorázni 2 percre gyalog mentünk el. Az árak meglepően olcsóak voltak itthoni éttermes árakhoz is képest ( sör: kb 600-800, főétel: 1-2.000 ft). A harmadik napon Negombóból indultunk tovább a Pinnawella elefánt árvaházba, itt megismerkedtünk az árvaház történetével, az ázsiai elefánt fajjal, etethettük, fürdethettük az elefántot.

Ezt követően a Sigiriyai oroszlánt hódítottuk meg, kisebb túra vitt felfelé, naplementét néztünk odafent, vacsorát a vàrosban ettünk, kipróbáltuk a helyi ételt, a Kottut. 07.31-ei napon Dambulla sziklatemplomhoz látogattunk el, az idenvezetőnk rengeteg érdekes dolgot mesélt a valllásról, kultúráról. Folytava az utunkat egy Fűszerkertbe tértünk be el az úton, ami az egyik kedvenc programunk volt, a fűszerek, gyógynövények széles körű használatát mutatták be, a végén vásárlási lehetőség is volt. Ezt követően a világhíres Zafír Drágakő bemutatásán vettünk részt, beleláttunk az előkészületekbe, kitermelésre, további feldolgzásba, ékszereket itt tudtunk vásárolni. Délután Kandy főtemplom és kulturális program volt. Szállásunk gyönyörű infinity pool-os volt ezen a napon. Vacsorázni egy közeli brit tulajdonú étteremben voltunk, a hangulat nagyon jó volt, az ételek finomak. 08.01-én tea gyárba látogattunk, itt is beleshettünk a gyártási folyamatba, teát kóstoltunk, a tájban gyönyörködtünk. Nagyon érdekes volt, ez is egyik kedvencünk volt. A nyelvet (angol) nagyon szépen beszélték itt is, de a többi vezetett foglalkozáson is. Nuwar Eliya várost autóból néztük végig, teljesen más volt mint ahol korábban jártunk, ezt 2 és fél óra vonatút követte (második osztály, foglalt helyjegyekkel). A táj elképesztő szép volt, gyorsan ment az idő.

Ellában volt az egyik legszebb szállásunk csodás panorámával, bőséges reggelivel . Vacsorázni a nagyon népszerű Chill-ben voltunk, az idenevezetőnk segített az asztalfoglalásban. Egyik legjobb étkezésünk volt az utazás alatt.

08.02: Little Adams Peak túra, 9 lyukú híd, az idegenvezetőnk úgy időzített, hogy egy áthaladó vonatot is volt lehetőségünk megnézni, fotózni. Ezt követően egy vízeséshez mentünk, páran fürödtünk. Itt főtt kukoricát (100 rupia), mangót ettünk (200), ami nagyon jó kis street food élmény volt. Déli iranyba folytattuk az utunkat, Yalababan kissé autentikus szállásunk volt, a medencében élveztük a lemenő nap látványát, a vacsorában itt is Pra segített. Az ételek csípőssége azért rajtunk is kifogott, hiába magyarként azért a csípőset is jobban bírjuk, de a kínálat, kiszolgálás hibátlan volt. A fiúk is megkönnyezték az ételeket. Következő nap a Hajnali szafarihoz (saját jeep) 5 kor keltünk, az úton megcsodáltuk a napkeltét, reggelit a szállás csomagolt, a sofőr mindent megtett, hogy megmutassa a parkban élő állatokat. A safari kb 5-5,5 óra volt. Ezt követően indultunk a déli partra, Unawatuna. Vacsorázni a városban voltunk, ébresztő óra állítása nélkül tértünk ezen a napon már nyugovóra. Másnap a társaság egyik fele a pihenést választotta, a másik a teknős hatchery-be látogatott el, majd Mirissaba, és surfozni is. Este a hotel által szervezett BBQ esten vettünk részt. Ebédelni a hotel melletti Sea Wavesben voltunk, nagyon tudjuk ajánlani, egy családi vállalkozás, nagyon odafigyelnek a vendégre, finom ételeket készítenek. Utolsó napunk pihenéssel telt főképp, igénybe vettük a szálloda által kínált masszázst( 1 óra 6300 rúpia- ezt így összehasonlításként). Este pedig naplementében vacsoráztunk a Wiaja beachen,. Hazafele szintén fly dubai géppel mentünk, itt csak 3 óra átszállási idő volt, és a jóval barátságosabb 3-as terminálon töltöttük el az időt.

Összegezve: ha lett volna több szabadságunk, minimum 2-3 nap pihenést be lehetett volna illeszteni az országjárós részekbe elszórva. Nagyon sok mindent szerettünk volna látni, kevés idő alatt, így összetorlódtak a helyszínek néha. Aki viszont aktívan szeret pihenni is, annak tökéletes ez az összeállítás. Borravalós ország, mindig jó, ha az embernél van váltópénz. A számlák általában nem tartalmazták a szervízdíjat. A legtöbb étteremben egyébként tudtunk fizetni bankkártyával. Szerintem elmondhatjuk, hogy rengeteg helyen ettünk, utcai árusoknál is, a 7 emberből egyet viselt meg jobban egy gastroenteritis. Probiotikumot én például végig szedtem. Oltásként hepatitis A volt amit pluszban adattunk. Több alkalommal voltunk már sajàt szervezéssel nyaralni. Ezt a színes programot, sok szervezést Márti nélkül nem tudtuk volna összerakni, ott létünk során is végig kereshettünk. Az elmondhatatlan nagy biztonság, hogy valaki személyesen egy ilyen távoli országban volt ott helyben a hátunk mögött/mellett.

Az augusztus 4-ei péntek este ott voltam a Ganxsta Zolee és a Kartel x Supernem közös Budapest Parkos koncertjén, amely nekem az első Kartel-es bulim is volt. Nem mostanában kezdtem el hallgatni az „öreg” Döglégy Tábornoknak a zenekarát, hanem még a 2000 évek elején, mikor először meghallottam a Music Box zenei csatornán, a Jó, a Rossz, és a Kartel című számukat. Top 5 lemez augusztus

Hú, ezt hol is hagytam abba? Ez az augusztusi top 5 még itt van draftban, nem csalok, de azért ezeket egy ideje nem hallgattam, úgyhogy most átfutottam megint őket.

Meridian Brothers & El Grupo Renacimiento - S/T (2022)

Ez ment talán legtöbbet, amikor épp volt időm zenét hallgatni, mert a nagy melegekben kevés passzentossabb lemezt találtam. Valamiért úgy érzem, hogy a Meridian Brothers színvonalához képest is kiemelkedő lemez. A Metarmofosis dögös salsája a csúcs, de az egész album tud egyszerre nagyon feszes, mégis kellően fura lenni. Előbbi az, ami nem mindig sikerült a zenekarnak, vagy, amit nem is mindig akart Alvarez, a Meridian Brothers agya, szíve és lelke. (Plusz pont a kitalált háttérsztoriért a "legendás" salsa együttesről.)

Panda Bear & Sonic Boom - Reset (2022)

Nem mindig megnyugtató, de végig álomszerűen hömpölygő pszichedelikus harmóniák szűk negyven percben. Szintén a nyáresték tökéletes kísérőzenéi voltak. Az egész koncepció baromi jó egyébként, 50-es évekbeli klasszikus dalok loopolt introiból építkeznek a dalok.

Bobby Oroza - Get On The Otherside (2022)

Teljesen véletlen találat, talán a Spotify heti kaland adta ki. (Ami egyébként mintha féléves késésben lenne, és nyár végén kezdene azév eleji zenéket bepakolni a listába.) Nem ismertem Orozát előtte, de az Otherside rögtön elkapott. Ahogy aztán a lemezindító I Got Love is. Talán utóbbi számot hallgattam legtöbbször mostanában. Legjobb pillanataiban pöpec, kicsit néhol túlpolírozott blue-eyed soul és funk egy Helsinkiben felnőtt, félig bolíviai sráctól. (Fajkeveredés alert!) Sajnos azért az egész lemez annyira nem jó, mint a legjobb számok, de tartja végig a kellően erős színvonalat.

Oneida - Success (2022)

Vannak zenekarok, amelyek el-eltűnnek a radaromról, az Oneida is ilyen. Bő tíz éve OFFon imádtam a koncertjüket, hallgattam is őket sokat akkoriban, aztán semmi. Pedig adtak ki lemezeket bőven rendes pszichedelikus, garázsrockos zenekarhoz mérten, és simán lehet, hogy vannak azok is ennyire jók, mint az idei, de én most megelégszem ezzel. Jöhet ide, hogy sallangmentes, vadul zakatoló számok ezek végig. Nagyon jó energiabomba.

Raymond Byron (Castanets) - Bond Wire Cur (2022)

Kicsit hasonló a helyzet Raymond Raposával is, akinek Castanets nevű projektjét még asszem az ATP fesztiválos line upokbol ismertem és szerettem meg nagyon, aztán valamiért elfeledkeztem őróla is. Most meg azért került újra elém, mert sajnos meghalt, nagyon fiatalon, nagyon hirtelen. Ez az utolsó, még éppen befejezett lemeze azonban enélkül a tragédia nélkül is mélyen megérintő, fragmentált, kicsit fura, itt-ott enyhén disszonáns singer-songwriter folk. Olyan csodaszép dalokkal, mint a Before What's Left of Our Minds Go.
