Rambling rant incoming...

I'm tired of my life right now.

I was looking at a Filipino sapphic couple on facebook that i follow. And.

I need to be in a country where this is legal. Yeah they're in the Philippines but they're both rich and maybe their families are supportive.

I just wanna be in a place where if I say "I wanna date that girl", no one is gonna look at me strangely and go what did you say. Maybe I'll still end up married to a guy in the future idk I'm bi, it's in the cards, but why does it have to be a default thing. And I don't even wanna think about sex, just being with someone I have romantic feelings for, no matter their gender... I just feel so tired of everything right now.

This song though.... About a 50-year-old man who's still in the closet. He has a wife and for so long he has hidden himself. But he wants to give in now. He wants to just be himself except he's saying that it's probably too late because it's already been so long....

Yes, this is a parody of a popular OPM song and the ending of the video is meant to be comedic but if you read the comments, this song touched a lot of people.

Look, I thought I could handle it. I thought I could hack it. But I'm getting more irritable, frustrated, SUFFOCATED, and just downright apathetic about LIFE. I won't be able to do this for long. I need a break and switch things out because I can't handle this job for much longer. There are good things about it, but my introvert mind can't handle the rest.

Feeling proud of myself today. I was able to cook rice and corned beef with egg for breakfast (it's a Filipino thing) and pork adobo for dinner later. I had mango juice with my meal and was able to prepare my lunch. On top of that, I did my duolingo thingimajig and fed the neighbor's dog. Don't know how long this feeling will last, but right now, I'm happy.

I went to the Student Health Center—they were completely unhelpful, choosing to lecture me about the importance of safe sex (recommending condoms) instead of actually listening to my problem. The doctor came in and simply asked me: “Are you ready to leave him?” When I denied that I was being abused, she didn’t argue with me. She just asked me what I needed. I said I need a birth control method that my boyfriend couldn’t detect. She recommended a few options and we decided on Depo. When I told her that my boyfriend read my emails and listened to my phone messages and was known to follow me, she suggested to do the Depo injections at off hours when the clinic was normally closed. She made a note in my chart and instructed the front desk never to leave messages for me—instead, she programmed her personal cell phone number into my phone under the name “Nora”. She told me she would call me to schedule my appointments; she wouldn’t leave a message, but I should call her back when I was able to. And that was it. No judgment. No lecture. She walked me to the door and told me to call her day or night if I needed anything. That she lived 5 blocks from campus and would come get me. That I wasn’t alone. That she just wanted me to be safe. I never called her to come to my rescue. But I have no doubt that she would have come if I had called. She kept me on Depo for a year, giving me those monthly injections in secret, helping me prevent a desperately unwanted pregnancy. I cannot thank Planned Parenthood enough for the work they do.”

Just finished the Indonesian movie Inang (The Womb) with the IRL besties and that movie really just bashes you over the head in the last like 30 minutes holy fuck. That was such a treat with so many little fun breadcrumbs and so much symbolism to lead you to this absolutely insane ending.

I also cannot believe it came out on my 30th birthday.

I keep meaning to continue this but I'm alwasy getting distracted by something else but what I loved about this is thT in the beginning, they draw a parallel to Beauty and the Beast, and in this show, it's the girl who takes on the Beast's role. Also, I do love her staff.
