kaiba where have tou been? this whole duel has been about WILLPOWER! and joey has enough willpower to to withstand ra's attack

evil!marik only won the game because joey fainted otherwise he would've lost

guys joey is fucking fainted like why are we shaking him he's literlly unconscious

so evil!marik's in the finals, and the next/last semifinal duel is kaiba vs yugi

kaiba: we're dueling next yugi and i'm going to defeat you!

yami: my friend is on a stretcher s i'm going to make sure he's okay and then i'll worry about our duel

yugi's acting like joey died and, ugh, yes i know he's in a coma but he's not fucking dead like come on it's okay y'all

because once yugi and marik fight int he finals, and yugi wins, then everyone will go back to normal - especially because you already know that yugi will ask for his friends to go back to noraml, to have their minds returned to them from the shadow realm

i do like that we see these moments of weakness, of seeing doubt and worry. it really fleshes out the characters and actually does help add some weight to this game about fucking trading cards haha

i always let the opening play because it allows me to do something else for a minute, like read book reviews

this duel was honestly AMAZING and i'm glad i watched all of it

the strategy was great; they knew each other well enough and their dueling strategies to make this a great back and forth

the use of trap and magic cards, both alone and in conjunction with monters, was done brilliantly

evn the talk and the backstory was great

honestly the best duel int he series so far

Jules’ pick is the Ron Howard / George Lucas fantasy romp starring Warwick Davis.

The film follows a classic heroes journey, with the unlikely titular character ticking all the boxes of that development.

Davis has continued to push for smaller people and now the very tall to be cast over CGI or camera trickery.

Willow is hard to come by. Currently it isn’t available streaming and the DVD/Bluray is out of print and demanding high prices on the secondary market.
