Ack-ack: Eddie and I don’t use pet names.
Burgin: I see. Say Skip, what do bees make?
Ack-ack: Honey?
Hillbilly: Yes, darlin?
Ack-ack:*silence*
Burgin: Don't ever lie to my face again.

The soft, "Eddie?" that Ack Ack mutters when he lays eyes on Hillbilly's body tears my fucking heart out every time.

Hi Flávia,
I'm Israel Figueroa from Mexico. I love your translations of Violet Evergarden Light Novels.
I bought the VE Chronicle Official Fanbook and I noticed this place in the Tellsis map called Lownwell or something like that.
It's located in the Northwest part of the continent, in the Kingdom of Lontano. The location matches with Crownwell, the site of Altair prison.
I want to know if Crownwell and Lownwell are the same place.
Hiii, omg. Thanks for this ask! I'm really sorry for taking so long to reply. I haven't had much time to log in lately. ;v;
This one is a detail that went completely over my head, holy crap. So back in the day, when I was translating the novels, I tried to make my life easier by scanning all volumes and turning them into text with a scan app. This saved up a lot of time whenever there were words or expressions I didn’t know, which happened with a certain frequency because, as a steampunk novel, VE uses old words for everything that is nowadays written in katakana but used to be written in kanji in the past, like “coffee”, “motorcycle” and “bus”. Thing is, sometimes the app acted funny. The scanner would misread the text at random moments and turn the characters into something else (sometimes "brooch" would become "prooch", for example, because it would read “bu” as “pu”). Apparently, this happened here too, where it read "ro" as "ko" (candid mistake since ロ and コ are indeed very similar) and I didn't realize it, so I translated it as "Cornwell". So thanks a lot for pointing this out! I'll fix it when I have the chance!
But now I'm wondering how to translate this word, because it most certainly doesn't exist, lol. I'm willing to take a wild guess that Akatsuki meant it to be "Lonewell". Not sure if this is a real name, but it makes a lot of sense in the context of the chapter.

Outsider POV - Moonlight stuck in your teeth
@sledgefuweek - G - 2157 words
“I was looking for you,” he said. His voice stood out against the backdrop of the boy’s jesting. Eddie called the cadence a campfire voice — a warm center to gather around and leave the cold behind.
Eddie opened his eyes. His captain stood tall, hair ruffling, buttons on his shirt undone.

I just found out that Ken Lemmons' middle name is Allison.
Given that Andy and Eddie are my favourite characters from The Pacific, I really shouldn't be surprised I ended up falling in love with another HBO War guy whose middle name is Allison, should I?

Capp-Jones family, Roaring Heights - #43
After mourning and healing, Titania continued her training with Cinnamon for the following days, while the rest of the household returned to their everyday, regular happy selves.
Her hard work paid off, as she continued to win competitions and get promotions as a horsewoman in Roaring Heights, while also doing her role as a mother and wife. It's not smooth and easy, but she's making it all work.
They're all very grateful for the gift of life and abundance they experience every day.
-------------
We have come to the end of the post series from this household... for now. Thank you again for engaging and reading my posts! I love sharing my game to the community, and it makes me very happy to see others reading and liking my stories, too 😁
Thank you again, and keep on Simming!

Burgin: Why is Skipper crying on the floor?
Sledge: He's drunk.
Burgin: And?
Sledge: He saw a picture of hillbilly's husband.
Burgin: But...he's Hillbilly's husband?
Sledge, putting his head on his hands: I know.
