If you haven't played SOTM yet and are curious about Sleepy Moon (orb Moon)... I need you to be aware it's not a robot. Sleepy Moon is a guy in a costume. You can interpret him as being alive and out of his mind, or... Well. The ghost/undead corpse of a man who got locked down there and died of hunger (canonically died of hunger, as the messages imply).

I like to imagine he glows because he put one of the nightlight babies inside the suit. For comfort in the dark halls.

(We know it's a guy because 1) no robot sounds, 2) there's a message from a man who got trapped in the area 3) it can't be the Mimic 4) the costume was never meant to be worn by a bot, its schematics show it was made for a human worker)

Now the big questions are: how did he get trapped? Why did he keep the suit/put it on? Was it desperation? Comfort? A dying man's madness? His VA voices Edwin, and Edwin is Moon in Moon.EXE... but it can't be Edwin's ghost, because Edwin's legs get broken inside his office before he dies (so how would he move there, send a casual message, and then walk just fine?). Was it a poor unfortunate employee? If so, can we determine who by reading the messages?

I like to imagine it was a random worker driven to madness after getting trapped, his corpse possessed by his own ghost and becoming the Sleepy Moon costume, forced to sing himself to a sleep that will never come for all eternity. It truly reminds you FNAF does fall in the horror genre.

romance as a subplot is SOOOOO GOODDDDD because 98% of the time it's an intense slowburn that develops over several chapters. the story focuses on the plot or character development more but somehow it makes the romance SO MUCH BETTER!!! idk how to explain it it's just so good...like when an author's focus is more on characters and plot it gives you as the reader a deeper connection to the characters which makes the romantic/platonic aspect so much better
