Mama's Girl
Tumblr media
Baby daughter reader x mom Katherine Pierce
Warnings: kidnapping,
A/n: I made a few tweaks in it, by making Elijah the father, but I hope you like it!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Katherine picks you up from your playpen which has two fluffy blankets and some stuffed animals. "You hungry baby girl?" Katherine smiles as you babble while nuzzling your head into her chest. "I'll take that as a yes" She kisses the top of your head before sitting down on the black leather couch beside the playpen.
She holds you with one arm and as the her other hand pulls a part of her black shirt down, releasing one of her breasts. She coaxes your head toward her full breast until you easily latch on. As you drink your mama's milk, she holds you protectively in her arms.
She doesn't know how the hell she had gotten pregnant, considering she's been dead a very long time. And it wasn't just her child, you, actually was growing inside her, but her body also changed for how it would when any other woman would be pregnant. ex. she produces breast milk. She's still confused but doesn't ask why anymore, just grateful that you're her baby.
The only two people who know about you are; Elijah and Kol Mikaelson. Kol saw Katherine walking around a park a couple towns over, obviously pregnant. He then later that day asked his big brother how he had managed to knock up Katherine, assuming that Elijah and she had hooked up. And he wasn't entirely wrong, Kol just doesn't need to know that. Elijah went over to her house and confronted her, they had a long conversation, deciding it was best to keep you a secret.
Or so she thought, not taking into account the two Salvatore brothers are staked out, across the road.
"How did Katherine get a baby? and she's caring? what the hell" Stefan says, turning over to his older brother.
"Well, baby bro, when two adults think it's time, they decide to start having se-" Stefan cut him off, "I didn't mean like that!" Stefan groaned.
"Whatever, this is our chance to have something to finally take the vampire bitch slut, down," Damon says, getting out of the car. Stefan sighs before following Damon down the road.
Damon explains the plan he made to Stefan, which they put into action.
Katherine looks up, something seems off. Before she can get a second thought, the front door is knocked off it's hinges and vervain grenades are thrown in. Getting into a coughing fit from the toxic herb, she sees a figure of someone coming over to her with a mask.
As soon as he gets close to her, Damon snatches you out of Katherine's arms and speeds out of the house. Katherine quickly stands up, adjusting her top back, but before she can go after him in a weakened state, someone grabs her from behind. The second person, Stefan, wraps his left arm around her neck until she can no longer breathe in air, passing out quickly from the vervain still in the air.
Stefan lets her drop back onto the couch and walks back outside, peeling the mask off his face. "Now what?" He asks Damon, watching as he tries to make you stop crying. His attempts are proven useless, making you cry louder about being taken away from your mama.
"Oh come on, can't you be quiet, you're going to make a scene with how loud you are" Damon whisper yells at you.
Being a baby and not understanding anything he's obviously saying, you just scream louder.
The brothers quickly get into Damon's car with you, Stefan having to hold you, insisting to Damon it's not a good idea to just throw you in the backseat and hope for the best. He drives off before Katherine has a chance to reawaken.
Coughing, Katherine slowly opens her eyes. The light shining through the windows tells her it's still daytime. Recollecting her memories of what had happened while she stands up makes her freeze. She quickly vamped around the entire house, not finding her baby, you, anywhere.
Damon and Stefan, the two names that come to her mind. They took you. All she can do is pace back and forth, a look of murder in her eyes. But she has to play this smart, if she just goes crashing in there alone, she's more than sure that there'll be everyone there. They'll obviously be expecting that.
She goes to the coffee table where her phone still lays from earlier and dials a number.
"Katerina, how are you doing?" Elijah's smooth voice emits from the phone as he picks up.
"Not well, considering the Salvatores found out about y/n, came crashing in, took her, and now are probably thinking of ways to take advantage of our daughter against me" Katherine exclaims, having no time for small talk.
Elijah's eyes widen and he reassures her everything is going to be okay and to meet her in the woods by the boarding house. Katherine follows his instructions clearly and immediately leaves the house.
Katherine gets to the woods in record time, she looks around before feeling a hand on her shoulder. She quickly turns around, ready for a fight. Though it's just Elijah.
"My apologies," Elijah says.
He starts explaining his plan of what they're to do. Katherine follows every bit and nods before heading to the back of the house, out of sight from anyone inside.
While she hides out back, Elijah goes to the front door. He knocks a few times before Damon opens the door. He gives a suspicious look towards the original.
"I believe this is the part where you invite me in," Elijah says.
He pauses for a second before stepping to the side, letting the older vampire inside.
As Elijah walks down the stairs into the library, he lays his eyes on you. You're currently being held by Caroline. She's been trying to cheer you up and to stop your crying but nothing has worked. You're not wailing anymore but there are still tears running down your tiny cheeks every now and then.
He puts on a facade, acting surprised at the sight of the baby. Caroline and everyone else notice this. Caroline walks over to the other side of the room and places you into an old wooden crib they had found in the attic.
"What's the occasion of your visit?" Damon all but growls, not happy about an original vampire being in his home.
"Just the fact that you have apparently acquired a baby in a short amount of time. I'm only curious" he says, trying to ignore your looks for him. You see the man in the suit is recognizable as your dada. He comes over a lot and holds you and cares for you, and makes your mama smile.
You hold your arms up in a grabby motion. Everyone hasn't noticed. They're all focused on Elijah as there was no way that he just happened to know two hours after they had taken you. Someone must have been watching them.
Damon and Stefan are standing in front of Elijah, whose back is facing you, the rest of the gang all stood behind the brothers.
Katherine watches from behind the door, knowing what to do next. She opens the door and makes her way inside, causing the gang's attention to go to her.
"That was stupid of you" She sneers, her vampire face on display.
As your mama distracts everyone else, your dada quickly goes over to you. He picks you up and vamps out of the room through the same door Katherine left wide open.
"What-" Elena started saying and turned around, seeing that you and Elijah are gone.
Everyone else followed her action and before they knew it, it was only them. You, Katherine, and Elijah, are long gone.
Katherine follows Elijah to a clearing in the woods. He's cradling you against his chest, slightly swaying you as you calm.
"I'm so sorry I let this happen, I never wanted anything to happen to her," Katherine tells him, feeling an emotion she hasn't felt in a long time, guilt.
"There's nothing to apologize for. There was no way for you to know what was going to happen" Elijah says, softness in his eyes. "Come, I have the perfect place for us. It's out of town and secluded" he smiles.
As they make their way there in his car, they talk the whole time as you're sound asleep in your car seat.
klaus mikaelson x reader
summary: caroline has always been the one everyone prefers and chooses over you. how dare you think klaus would be any different?
warnings: small angst!!!
part count: 2/2
a/n: hi! sorry it took me a while for me to write the second part, but i really hope you guys enjoy it!!! i loved the plot for this, but i truly had the biggest writers block on it, hence the long hiatus :3 but i’m officially back~ please enjoy and take care of me again in the future ^-^
part one
Tumblr media
you hugged yourself, as you walked back home from the convenience store near your home. it was a chilly night. mystic falls has always been a cold city, but lately, for you, there hasn’t been a warm day. not ever since your break up with klaus mikaelson.
thinking of klaus was painful, as you remembered that night at the ball. the night you caught him lovingly staring into caroline’s eyes, and kissing her. you both ultimately broke up. well, you decided to call things off. you just couldn’t forgive his betrayal. he knew. caroline has always been a worry in your life. from past relationships to your career, everything was a competition and you always lost. klaus was no exception. it seemed klaus and caroline had actually became a couple after your break up. it was heartbreaking to say the least.
“y/n, please wait just a second. listen to me, dear.” klaus asked desperately, his eyes slowly but surely watering at the realization of what was happening. you held your suitcase close to you, your hand tightening around the handle, trying your hardest not to give in to klaus anymore.
“let me go.” you repeated once again, not daring to meet his eyes anymore.
“y/n, please.” klaus pleaded. “i’m sorry. i truly am. i never intended for this to happen.” he said, his hand trying to hold yours, but you pulled away again. apologies meant nothing. you had nothing else to say. you were done. your relationship was done.
“darling, please, just—” klaus pleaded yet again, his hands now laid on your soaked cheeks. the nickname tugging at your broken heart. a few tears left your eyes in pure anger and betrayal.
“no!” you raised your voice, your throat aching as you continued. “you kissed her!” you said, as you forcefully removed his hands from you. klaus stared, sorrow in his eyes, shaking his head.
“y/n—”
“do you love her?”
“what?” klaus asked, taken back by the sudden question. you wiped your teary eyes and spoke again.
“answer me. do you love her?” you asked once again, terrified of the answer. but needing the response.
“please..” klaus begged, not daring to respond. but you knew the answer. after all, who were you next to the caroline forbes?
you nodded in response, understanding. you weren’t her. you would never be as special as her. who were you to think you could be appreciated and loved? how naive. you sniffled, placing a few strands of your hair behind your ear, ready to walk out of his life for good. klaus looked for your eyes, worried about you, and about the hurt he has caused you. but you never met his eyes. you completely ignored his existence, and left.
you shivered gently, as warm air left your mouth. you held the grocery bag, that contained a few snacks, headache pills and a bottle of wine, to continue to drown your sorrows in. you were over him. you swore you were. but from time to time, you couldn’t help but hurt. you have never loved anyone the way you loved klaus. not matt nor tyler. no one ever came close, not that it mattered anymore.
the streets were empty, probably due to all the werewolves and vampire attacks in the city. this was no surprise to you, you were used to it. werewolves and vampires just didn’t scare you anymore. who would even try to lay a hand on you? you were klaus mikaelson’s ex girlfriend, and a close friend of the mikaelson family. the brothers and rebekah had been taking great care of you. they knew more than anybody what happened between you two, and understood your need for space. kol and elijah were very fond of you. rebekah believed they were in love with you, often joking about another love triangle. the mikaelson family has helped you so much through all of this. it has been a year. you healed, but you never wanted to see caroline or klaus ever again.
you pouted a bit, as you realized how quite far the store was from your place. you wanted to be home already. times like this is when you wished to be a vampire. the speed would really help you right now. you smirked at your dumb thoughts as you fixed your airpod, continuing your walk home. you took out your phone, wanting to skip a song, when you heard a familiar voice call out for you.
“y/n?” the voice asked, making you almost freeze in your tracks. please don’t let this be who you thought it was.
your eyes looked up from your phone screen and met his. your past lover’s eyes. the eyes of the man you so desperately loved, but you felt nothing but sadness for. you took a deep breath as you took a look at him. he looked good. healthy.
“it’s—” klaus started, before looking down at the watch in his wrist, his eyes full of worry and confusion. “it’s two am, love… why are you wandering around so late at night?” klaus asked gently, scared to anger you, or sadden you, but so worried about you.
it was very late already. it had been dangerous around town. he knew you were an easy target to hurt him. you were human, and had no protection around you. klaus lived in constant fear of waking up with the news of your death or kidnapping done by his many enemies. you tilted your head at his soft tone. you sighed softly, shrugging your shoulder.
“it’s alright. just needed something from the store down the road.” you replied, signaling at the plastic bag in your hand. he tilted his head in utter confusion, why wouldn’t you wait until morning? regardless he nodded slowly.
“i see…but why must you walk all alone at this time of night? it’s been dangerous lately.” klaus said, you furrowed your eyebrows and and looked up at him. he sounded so genuinely worried and you couldn’t understand why.
“why do you care, niklaus?” you asked, your tone tired. klaus looked into your kind eyes, and felt a rush of sadness wash over him, as he remembered his time with you.
the truth is… caroline wasn’t you. she really wasn’t, and klaus despised it. caroline was kind, but not as kind and selfless as you. she was loving, but he didn’t feel as alive with her as he did with you. she could offer him eternity, but he realized he would prefer spending a limited lifespan by your side. it wasn’t that you were caroline, it was that caroline just wasn’t you.
“i just— you do know i care so deeply about you, right? i just wanted to check up on you.” klaus half lied, he just missed you. he missed you like crazy and it was eating him alive. the big, bad original vampire was nothing with you. you chucked under your breath, not wanting to offer him a reply to his cheap excuse.
“let me walk you home, won’t you?” klaus continued, real concern in his voice, and you heard it. you bit your lip, hesitating.
“i beg. i just want to be certain that you got home safe and sound.” klaus said softly, as you started fidgeting with your hands. you sighed, nodding your head after a few minutes of hesitating. he seemed so genuinely worried, a little company wouldn’t hurt anyone after all.
it was silent most of the time. you wanted to ask. how everything was with caroline, but why would you want to hurt yourself even more? why would you care? so you didn’t ask. and wouldn’t even talk if he didn’t start a conversation first. klaus could feel his heart breaking as the silence broke out yet again. you always had something to say, something to tell him, but now you were dead silent. it pained him.
“i miss you.” klaus finally confessed, your heart stopping at his sudden words. for the first time, you looked at him, in utter shock. but klaus continued looking upfront, terrified to meet your expression. after a few minutes of thinking, you spoke up.
“you don’t get to do that.” you mumbled, loud enough for him to hear. he nodded in agreement, biting his red lips. you were right. he has no right to even miss you at all. he was the one who caused this.
“i acknowledge that, believe me.” klaus said, a sigh leaving his lips mid sentence. you could sense the honesty in his voice. “i just wanted to tell you.” you nodded, your eyes now locked towards the floor you both walked on.
“caroline…” klaus continued, the mention of her name felt like a knife to the chest. you swallowed your hurt and continued to listen to klaus mikaelson pour his heart out for you. “she’s lovely. she’s sweet, delightful and kind…” klaus said, every one of his words deepening your wound.
“but she’s just not… you.” klaus said, stopping his walking and turning to face you. “i realized how big of a mistake i made. i knew of your past with her, and i still did it, and i want to apologize.” klaus spoke, as you listened.
“in this past year, i have done nothing but miss and love you.” klaus confessed and you felt your skin turn pale. “you are the one made for me, y/n. and i was incredibly foolish for even doubting it.”
“klaus..”
“please— let me finish.” klaus begged, his strong, big hands reaching over to hold yours. “she’s not you. she is just not the woman i am so desperately in love with. she is absolutely no one and nothing next to you. and i feel so miserable for adding onto your pain, and self doubt.” klaus continued.
“klaus—” you tried saying once again, only to be interrupted.
“i was wrong.” klaus whispered softly, his right hand now resting on your soft cheek, his thumb stroking your skin. “my biggest mistake to day is hurting you.” klaus confessed, his eyes slowly watering, to your surprise. you heart was being shaken by his broken expression, the way his eyes were filled with pure regret and sadness, and how his mouth frowned at you. it took everything in you to not wrap your arms around him and console who used to be your gentle hybrid. after a while of staring into each other’s eyes, klaus spoke up again.
“would you please give me another chance to redeem myself? let me make this right, my love, please.” klaus finished, his eyes full of sincerity. the nickname he used to always endearingly call you taking your breath away instantly.
you stood in the middle of the street, with the man of your life holding you, and pleading to have you back. you bit your lip, holding back the tears that threatened to run down your cheeks. he wanted you back? he realized he was wrong? he regrets everything? you don’t know if you wanted to laugh or cry.
you wanted to give in, and be his again. you adored him. you were sure he was the love of your life. but could you even trust him anymore? after everything he put you through? after all the turmoil, heartbreak and self distrust you felt for yourself? he was part of the cause of your low self-esteem, and lack of self confidence. the person who used to be the main reason for your confidence and self love, was now the reason of your infinite sadness and self loathing.
“i can’t…” you started, your hands rushing over to remove his from your body. klaus looked at you, shocked by your actions. “i won’t go back to you, klaus.” you replied gently. even if he broke your heart into a million pieces, you wouldn’t want to hurt him. he mattered to you. the only way you were going to hurt him was by not going back to him, and letting caroline have him. that would be your revenge for everything she has put you through. letting her believe the man she wanted most loved her, when in fact, he adored you.
“darling…”
“no, niklaus.” you said gently, shaking your head. “you and caroline are perfect for each other, can’t you see?” you said, his heart tightening at your words.
“you’ve hurt me enough. how sure can i be that you won’t change your mind like you did before?” you asked, and klaus shook his head, refusing. his hands ran to your cheeks again, his forehead now resting in yours, eyes closed as he begged you. klaus mikaelson was begging you. a mere human.
“i will never. i will never commit the same mistake as before, my beloved.” klaus whispered to you, his voice breaking. you fought your tears, breaking the contact between you two.
“and what if you do? what if this happens again? i won’t put myself through this again, klaus. i deserve better.” you said, finally putting yourself first. you mattered, before anyone else. even before the man you loved.
“i just can’t find it in me to trust you again.” you said, taking a few steps back, ready to continue walking home, and leave all this behind. you wanted to start over and regain the love you once had for yourself. klaus stared at you, as tears now ran down his cheek. it took everything in you to not kiss him and forgive him in that instant.
“then please.” klaus spoke again, raising his voice, so you could hear as you walked away from him. “please keep your heart open for me.” klaus spoke for the last time, desperation in his voice. a smile creeped up in your lips, as you continued walking him.
elijah mikaelson x vampire!reader (no y/n)
author's notes; combining these requests :) hope that's ok!!
warnings; vague references to past violence but nothing insane. exes to friends to lovers, just plotless fluff, with an extra side of fluff. yes elijah is extremely charming, yes he can't make eye contact with a pretty girl. duality of man.
It’s an unspoken thing, what lingers between them still. Unspoken in the sense that they don’t talk about it, but everyone else does.
It always shocks people to learn that the oldest vampires on Earth are ridiculous, catty gossips. Elijah doesn’t know why it’s such a surprise. Living as long as they all have, you’ve got to keep things interesting, otherwise immortality becomes mind-numbing. He supposes that it just doesn’t measure up to their reputation for being ruthless animals, which isn’t unfounded. It’s just not the only thing they could be classified as.
Ruthless monsters that defend each other to the death at the end of the day, no matter how many times they’ve stabbed each other in the backs, certainly. Childish gossips that like to start rumors and rewrite history when they get a little bored, definitely. The two identifiers can coexist, and very much do.
And this thing, this unspoken thing that is unspoken for a multitude of reasons but none more so than the simple fact that even as long as they’ve known each other it’s still fragile, and something could break it with ease, is only unspoken to Elijah.
His brothers and sisters, however, like to do nothing but talk about it.
“Well, she’s almost here,” Rebekah rolls her eyes, but it’s just for the fact that her older brother is going to be a lovesick idiot the entire time the girl is here, and it really takes away from Rebekah’s own quality time with her. “No wonder Elijah’s been bumbling around like a fool all day.”
Klaus chuckles, and the two of them dutifully ignore the glare their brother sends them. “Do you think she sent him a letter to announce her arrival? Elijah always loves things like that,”
Rebekah’s blue eyes light up. “Oh, yes! I wonder if she sprayed it with her perfume– us ladies used to do that with a suitor back in the day,” She fans a hand towards her face, closing her eyes at the small breeze it creates. “They don’t text or call, of course, it takes all of the personality out of it. And god knows Elijah’s all personality,”
Klaus laughs again, and the two finally glance across the room to where Elijah’s leaning against a wall, glaring at them with his arms crossed over his chest.
“I hate you both,” He says, earning another round of laughter from them. “And stop going through my things, Rebekah. Those letters are none of your business.”
The blonde girl pushes her lips out in a pout. “But I get so bored, Elijah. You can’t be mad at me for entertaining myself,”
“I fear he just hates fun, dear sister,” Klaus says, feigning a wistful tone. “He doesn’t approve of my methods of entertainment either.”
“That’s because your methods of entertainment always end in a bloodbath,” Elijah says accusingly, earning a shrug from the hybrid. “You’re both immature. A thousand years old, still acting like children.”
Their faces twist in offense in unison, and Elijah distantly thinks that even though they’re not even fully related, let alone the same age even in their vampiric years, they were twins put on this Earth to terrorize him and ensure that he never knew peace.
Before they can begin their outcries of dramatized offense, and Elijah can continue to lightheartedly mock them, a voice comes from the hall, echoing fondly.
“Must you two always tease your brother?” The smile is obvious in her voice as she walks into the room, and the three of them snap their gazes towards the woman in surprise. “He’s a delicate soul, you know. His poor heart can’t handle too many jokes,”
Elijah recovers quickly, rolling his eyes, though he can’t (and won’t) stop the smile from growing on his face as she meets Rebekah for a hug. “Oh, wonderful. That’s just what they need. Encouragement.”
She chuckles at his poorly-feigned exasperation, and the sound settles in his ears like a morning dove’s song. She releases Rebekah from the hug and leans down to where Klaus is stretched out in a chair with his feet kicked up on the table, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
Glancing around at the vaulted ceilings of the compound, she sighs wistfully. “I can’t believe this place looks the same as when you bought it,” She shakes her head in slight disbelief.
Klaus shrugs, crossing his arms over his chest. “When we first returned, there was some… cleaning up to do, but it’s maintained its shape wonderfully.”
If she catches onto his double entendre, she doesn’t say anything, just nods in understanding. That’s something Elijah has always liked about her– she lets things go unsaid. She’s always had the ability to connect with him and his siblings in a way that most others can’t, and even when Elijah is at his worst, she’s been that olive branch that he can grab onto to bring him back to himself. Always so understanding and level. It’s a wonder that she still associates with any of them, given their penchant for chaos.
Finally, she turns her attention onto him, and in its entirety he feels breathless. Even after decades of knowing one another, it’s never gotten easier to hide his ardor for her. He knows she can still read him as easily as she could thirty years ago, too.
“Elijah,” She says his name better than he’s ever heard it, with a tilt to her head and a fondness in her voice that makes him feel more alive than anything else he’s found in his centuries on this planet.
She crosses the room to where he’s at, because he froze in his spot as soon as he heard her voice, and wraps her arms around him like she’s never been more relieved to see him.
It’s another thing he’s always liked about her. She’s never stopped loving him. He knows that. Lives with it everyday.
Regrets a lot of things, too.
He says her name back as gently as he can, like she’ll break in his arms. He wonders if she thinks of all the times she has broken in his arms, and then he tells himself there’s no way she’s forgotten it, because he hasn’t. And that is something that is theirs and theirs alone.
She pulls away and he misses her touch the moment she goes because it feels rarer and rarer with each day that passes. Every time she leaves, he fears it’s the last time he’ll see her.
He doesn’t want to ruin her visit with these thoughts. Even though he knows she’d offer him endless comfort, he doesn’t want her to worry about him for a second.
She turns to face them, clapping her hands together with a smile. “Well, then. What’s first on the agenda?”
──────
Something that comes with living as long as Elijah has is learning that some things about yourself you’ll just never be able to change. Such things like being a vampire in itself, having a firm hand when it comes to doing business with people. He’s been told he’s somewhat of a snake, and he’s well aware of his silver tongued ways, and it’s something he knows he can’t change, and hasn’t ever wanted to.
One thing that has yet to fall under that category of acceptance is his jealousy.
In his defense, he’s never jealous when he thinks he should be. He’s never been jealous of his siblings, spare for a few embarrassing months spent around the doppelgängers, but Elijah has never had to envy someone for something they had because if he wanted it that bad, he could just take it.
But this. This he knows is jealousy, pure and unbridled, and nauseating, if he’s feeling that correctly.
This is the jealousy that he’s seen destroy entire regimes. This is the jealousy that has driven his family to madness at times.
And of course, she’s at the center of it all. Of course she is. There would be no other way he could feel this so strongly if she was not involved in it somehow.
She’s the source of a lot of jealousy, he knows. He’s jealous of the carefree relationships his siblings get to have with her because they don’t have to be burdened with the feelings of the past that are most definitely still there. They don’t have to worry if they looked at her lips for too long, or if they held her a little too gentle to be considered entirely friendly. They don’t have to worry about saying the wrong thing, stepping past that line they so carefully drew in the sand for everyone’s sake.
These are the consequences of his actions, he knows. It doesn’t make it any easier to deal with, though. It might make it worse.
Watching his siblings drink freely as the band played on was nothing unfamiliar. Patrons had long since joined in on the fun, and he’s sure there’s a crowd outside looking in on the celebration of unknown origins.
At the center of it all, she is there, standing on a table with a crowd of adoring admirers surrounding her as she swayed and moved to the music. He would swear there’s a light shining on her, just for her, projecting her shadow above everyone like some sort of angel. He thinks she has every right to be worshiped.
And the reason he’s so maddeningly, bitingly jealous is because he is the reason that he’s not the one dancing with her. He can’t be the one to dance with her, and he can’t be the one that makes her laugh like she is because he’s the one that said they shouldn’t be together. He is the one who broke her heart, and he doesn’t deserve an ounce of the kindness she still shows.
So all he can do is sip his drink at the bar and watch as she pulls his sister, sweet, dangerous, devastatingly insecure Rebekah, up onto the table with her and shares her spotlight with her. Making his sister light up like she does with no one else. Earning another round of cheers from Klaus and Kol as they watch on, demanding another round of drinks for everyone in an odd show of generosity.
She brings out the best in his siblings. In him.
It makes him burn bright inside. Boiling, hot to the touch. He knows then and there that there’s a reason he’s seen something as trivial as jealousy take down the most powerful of men. Love is such a dangerous thing to get involved in in the first place, but finding someone, finding the woman who makes you feel like you could conquer the world is something else entirely. It bypasses dangerous and heads straight into fatal.
Because she makes you feel like you could conquer the whole world, but the second you lose her, it all means nothing. You’ll tear it all down if it means she won’t be there, too.
And the worst part of it all is the only reason he feels like this is because he is the one that ruined it. Blamed his family, blamed his parents, blamed everything else but his own fears for the reason they couldn’t be together. The distance, the timing. Whatever he could grasp, he pulled it out of his pocket and gave it to her on a silver platter, served with a distant coldness he’d long since perfect, and never wanted to use on her in the first place.
He had so much time under his belt, but he was such a child. So helpless it bordered on criminal, all because he fell in love and he didn’t know what to do with it.
It’s embarrassing more than anything else.
He hasn’t taken his eyes off of her since she started dancing. Hadn’t stopped listening since he heard her first laugh. Didn’t want to miss a single second, just in case.
For the first time all night, he blinked and turned his head away from her and threw the rest of his drink back like it was water.
He could allow himself a bit more wallowing. Just a bit.
──────
“Well, Rebekah’s safe in bed. I even got her in pajamas, believe it or not,” Her voice carries even in its whisper, and he looks up from his lap as she enters the small living space, hands clasped in front of her as she takes a seat in the chair beside him. “Original vampire or not, I doubt she’ll feel very good in the morning.”
Elijah hummed, thinking of his dear sister and how even if she’d healed a thousand times over, she’d still find a way to complain. He adored it.
“What about you?”
He raises a brow, lips twisting confusedly. “What about me?”
She gestures towards his slightly slumped form on the couch pointedly. He follows her direction, looking at his rumpled suit, and the white button up he’d undone the top four buttons off, at least. He feels momentarily embarrassed at his state of disarray but he simply huffs out a laugh, lifting his gaze to meet hers again.
“I’m a mess,” He shrugs, earning a quiet laugh out of her. “But I don’t think that has anything to do with our drinking tonight.”
“I can’t disagree, unfortunately,”
He hides the way his grin threatens to split his face behind his face, rubbing along his scruffy jawline as he looks at her. The longer he lingers, the more she avoids his gaze.
“What?”
He shakes his head.
“Elijah,” She intones, such a familiar adoration in her voice that it nearly makes him sick. He doesn’t deserve it. “You’ve been so quiet tonight. What’s on your mind?”
“You,”
Her eyes widen in shock at his quick, candid answer, and he has to hide his own surprise at how quick the word had shot out of his mouth.
“Me? What about me?”
“Everything,” He sighs, shifting his long legs so he could turn towards her and give her his full attention. “I’ve missed you.”
“Oh,” She breathes out, looking slightly bashful. “Well, I always miss you. I wouldn’t ever leave if I didn’t–”
She stops herself, covering her mouth with her hand as a sheepish look crosses her face. He knows she wants him to move past her slip up, but he doesn’t. Can’t.
“If you didn’t, what?” He leans forward, looking at her imploringly. “Why do you stay away so long?”
She takes a moment to collect herself, picking at the skin around her nails half-heartedly, like it’s not really bothering her, she just doesn’t want to be so open right now. He’d feel worse about pushing her if he didn’t feel like his heart was leaping out of his throat.
“Well, I didn’t think you wanted me around that much,” She says quietly, gesturing towards him.
He rears back like she’s slapped him.
“How could you ever think such a thing?” He whispers her name, a distant veil of horror laced in his tone. Fear, really.
“You said,” She says, face furrowing in confusion. “All those years ago– you said that there was no reason for me to stay here with you in New Orleans. So, I– I left. And I travel all the time until I come back here for as long as you’ll let me.”
Elijah feels something gripping his chest and it feels remarkably like his heart is breaking.
His voice breaks on her name and he leans forward again, reaching into her space to grab her hands in his. Allowing himself this piece of her that he simply doesn’t deserve.
“I never,” He stops, breathing out harshly. “I never wanted you to leave. I just–”
He stops again, squeezes her hands, and then steels himself because this is the least he owes her.
“You deserved more than to be stuck here with my family,” He starts slowly. “I never– I never wanted you to leave. Every time you walk out of those doors, I want to chase you down and make you stay. You have to believe me when I say that I only ever wanted you to be happy, and you wouldn’t have found that stuck here in the mess we had made back then.”
There’s a poignant silence that settles as she processes his words, and he holds the ragged breath that builds in his chest when she begins to drag her thumbs along the backs of his hands, smoothing at the skin there. Ever so gentle.
“All I’ve ever wanted was to be here with you and your family,” She says, shaking her head like she’s scolding him, even though her tone is anything but. “Being here makes me happier than any place I’ve traveled to. And I’m– I’m truly grateful that you had my best interest in mind, Elijah, but you have to understand,”
She trails off and an incredulous laugh leaves her lips as she smiles at him. “I’ve loved you my entire life. And my heart used to break every day knowing that I’d only have a short time with you. When I turned, I was so– I was so happy because I suddenly had the rest of time to be with you. And you… you broke my heart, Elijah. You truly did,”
She presses her thumbs into his skin firmly, just a pressure point to punctuate her words. “But I have never stopped loving you. And every time I walked out of those doors and left you behind, my heart broke again. You wouldn’t have ever had to make me stay. That’s all I’ve ever wanted to do.”
Elijah’s breath stalls in his chest, and lets it out slowly, shakily. There’s a distant string of hope he lets himself pull on, just this once. Because she let him.
He meets her gaze and smiles softly, just for her. “Will you stay, then? I’m– I’m asking you, truly. Will you stay?”
She nods before he even finishes speaking and laughs quietly, the sound just for him. “Of course I will, Elijah. I’ll stay as long as you want me to,”
“Forever,”
“Forever, then. I’ll stay forever.”
One Question Answered
Tumblr media
Elijah Mikaelson x Reader
You've been avoiding Elijah since he healed you so he tracks you down but not for the reason you assume
The one side effect of Elijah healing you was that you had no excuse to stay away from the Mikaelson compound. You didn't want to drag any of them into your fight, yeah logically it made little sense to not step back and let them handle it but this was your fight. You had brought this chaos down onto the hunting community because the one thing you'd yet to even tell Rebekah was the mastermind behind trying to form a squadron of people for hire out of hunters was your ex.
You were in Marcel’s gym, something he'd worked out with Bek. It was a little crazy considering you'd been attacked by humans to be working out surrounded by vampires with earbuds in but here you were. Music blasted as you landed punch after punch on one of the heavy bags. You had people tracking Evan. He'd be found and if you cut the head off the snake that should work.
You had to show patience but the longer he was out there poisoning people against decent hunters the better a chance someone got hurt and that person may not have an original vampire ready to feed them blood to speed up the process.
You'd avoided direct conversation with both Elijah and Klaus. Klaus was simple enough to avoid, offer of a decent bourbon warmed the hybrid out of conversation. Kol would let it go when you said you would ask for help if you couldn't handle it.
Rebekah was pissed you'd lied to her initially about why you needed your Nova put into storage for a while and even more pissed you wouldn't give names to who had attacked you. Elijah, well he was even worse. You weren't sure what had changed between the two of you but the last couple weeks had been tense to say the least.
When you couldn't manage to avoid him he would of course question if you were ready to tell him who'd hurt you. More than once he'd cursed your tattoo and it's warding for taking away his ability to compel you into telling him.
When you'd accused him of not respecting boundaries he'd rebutted that it wasn't crossing boundaries to make an attempt to keep you safe. That had been days ago. You'd steered clear of the compound choosing to see Rebekah somewhere else or not at all.
—--------------
The only reason you were at Marcel's gym was because it was the only place nearby you could walk into to work off stress with no questions being asked as to why you were there.
You weren't sure where your head was but when someone pulled your earbud out of your left ear you spun around mid punch. Elijah seemed slightly amused as he easily grabbed your fist before it could make contact with his jaw “Decent hit considering” you narrowed your eyes at him and it was only then you'd noticed the gym was empty.
“What are you doing here Elijah? Rebekah said you were out of town” he shrugged almost innocently “I assumed the best way to get your guard down was to make you think I wasn't in town. You've been avoiding me it seems” you moved your hand which was still in his “Can I have this back?” He smirked slightly “Are you going to try to run to not talk to me because we both know I can catch you”
You shrugged “Why would I run when I know for a fact it would be useless” he finally let go of your hand and gave your earbud back. You took it and turned to your bag that was sitting on the floor nearby. “Well I'm not running and you wanted to talk” you spoke over your shoulder as you squatted down to put your earbuds in their case. You stood up and faced him before starting to unwrap your hands. You suddenly felt out of place standing there in an oversized shirt and Nike leggings while he was of course dressed impeccably.
His eyes roamed across your body and you felt heat rise to your face, your heart pounding in your ears. He had a habit of making you forget when you were supposed to be putting room between the two of you “I'm not here to pursue the conversation of who attacked you. I trust that should you get in over your head you'll ask for assistance”
—-----------
Elijah relished the moments he managed to render you speechless. From the moment he'd met you the ability to seemingly always have a retort waiting was something he admired about you. Even when you were uncomfortable in a situation or nervous you hid it well.
Now, watching you standing in front of him fidgeting with the hem of your shirt, he had the urge to say anything he could to make your heart race again. The sound was music to his ears. “Then what are you here for Elijah?”
He smiled slightly “While I'm not here to discuss that matter I am here for a different one” your eyes narrowed at his words, distrust clear on your face but another emotion showed there also. You were trying to hide your attraction to him but he could see it. The way your eyes tracked him, how your heartbeat increased if he touched you even innocently. It intrigued him to no end. Many years had passed since a woman demanded his attention in this way.
“Considering you wouldn't answer my calls I thought I'd try my luck face to face. Would you accompany me to dinner?”
—--------------
Did Elijah just ask you out? No, there was no way. He must have meant dinner with his siblings or another ball he wanted a plus one for. “What do you mean?” You asked rather lamely, wishing you were wearing anything besides your workout clothes with your hair up in a lazy braid.
He gave you that smile that made your stomach flip. Damn he was gorgeous. “My darling little hunter, will you go on a date with me? Was that plain enough to make my intentions clear?”
Could a brain really short circuit? Had it not been that you knew for certain that the blood Elijah had given you had indeed cured you of any of your injuries you would've been certain the taser had caused brain damage. Who knew maybe it had? “Intentions clear” you finally spoke after a moment, feeling your head spin a bit.
“Is that a yes or a no?” He asked, causing a nervous laugh to slip out from you. What was your life at this point? You nodded slowly “That's a yes Elijah. I'd love to but can I ask one thing because of something Kol and Rebekah both said”
“Which is?” He asked a bit cautiously at the mention of his younger siblings. You knew you should probably let it go but this question had been weighing on you along with the Evan situation. “They said blood sharing was a thing, like vamps didn't do it lightly and that you normally would only open a vein to save one of them. So why heal me? Why willingly give me a part of you when my injuries weren't life threatening?”
He crossed the space between the two of you, raising a hand to cup your face much the same way he had when he'd healed you and it took everything in you to not turn into his touch. His dark eyes bore into you and yet again you found your heart racing “Because seeing you injured and in pain infuriated me. Someone hurt you and had you not already lived a life filled with resiliency those injuries may very well have been life threatening. If spilling some of my blood spares you pain I'll gladly do it however many times it's necessary”
You swallowed hard before saying “Still doesn't answer why. I'm nothing special. I could be replaced a thousand times over” he shook his head, his fingers lightly lifting your chin where you had no choice but to look him square in the eye. His eyes flicked down to your lips as he spoke “I have met many people who may have been expandable, you however are not. That's why I healed you, there was no other option”
Was it lust, attraction or pure stupidity that made you close the space between you and him? The moment your lips brushed against his you could feel the tension that had long since hung in the air between the two of you threaten to burst.
One of his hands went to the back of your head holding you in place while his other went to your hip, fingertips almost bruising with how close he pulled you to him. Your hands went to his shoulders, trying to find something to ground yourself as heat washed straight through you. A light moan fell from your lips into his as he angled his head to deepen the kiss, tongue dancing across yours.
Your fingers found the back of his head, desperately tugging at the carefully styled locks. He groaned into your mouth and you felt a fresh wave of desire hit you. His hands went down to your thighs easily lifting you into his arms. You gladly wrapped your legs around his waist, never breaking free from his lips even if your lungs were beginning to burn with the need for air.
He moved across the room, bracing your back against one of the mats that lined the wall as he broke free from your lips. Your chest was heaving as he continued his assault down your jaw to your neck. You felt your heart jump when he gently nipped at the sensitive flesh of your neck, causing your back to arch off the wall pushing you into him which caused his body to react,he shifted his hips against yours. The feeling alone was enough to pull a deep moan from you. Your hands went under his jacket, fingers digging into his shoulders through the soft material of his shirt.
The sound of two throats clearing causing you and Elijah to break away from each other. You glanced over his shoulder to see Rebekah and Marcel standing in the entryway of the gym. “I had no clue you two were talking again” Rebekah greeted cheerfully as if she hadn't just walked in on you and one of her brothers.
You groaned lightly as Elijah buried his face in the skin at the bend of your neck. Seeing him so damn disheveled and knowing you were the cause was enough to make any woman have a strange surge of pride. You grinned at Rebekah over his shoulder before he leaned up to place a chaste kiss to your lips before lowering you to the ground.
Both of you quickly rearranged whatever clothing was out of place before turning to face the newcomers. Rebekah was barely containing her laughter. “I'll see you at nine?” You asked and he smirked slightly “I'll see you at nine”
You watched him walk out and looked at Rebekah “Not a word” Marcel chuckled as he walked further into the gym “Never thought I'd see Elijah so worked up over a human and he picks a hunter”
Rebekah shook her head at Marcel then looked back at you “So I'm assuming that display means you're now dating my brother?” You shrugged, still a little dazed “I have a date with him” she smiled brightly “Brilliant. Let's go shopping for you a new outfit then”
PART ONE
'𝖉𝖊𝖛𝖎𝖑𝖎𝖘𝖍 𝖉𝖊𝖑𝖎𝖌𝖍𝖙𝖘 ' elijah mikaelson x fem!reader
Tumblr media
True to his word Elijah drove you home, kissing your cheek sweetly despite the evil glint to his eye as he watched you step out of the car, still fucked out and with his cum still wet on your cunt. He was taking more glee in this than he probably should have, and he wondered if Niklaus would be proud of him for it.
He sat in the driver's seat, car off as he watched you walk your way up to the front door, digging the keys out of your purse. He saw you fidget with the skirt of your dress touching your bottom, he wondered if maybe it was still sore, but he couldn't help but smirk harder knowing it was his hand print that adorned your ass, his cum that still lingered in your pussy, pooling slowly between your legs and seeping out onto your skirt. He felt his cock stiffen again, and fuck he hadn't ever been more turned by the thought of something so.so abhorrently human as claiming someone for his own..loving someone the way that he loved you, so truly to his core.
He watched as you pushed open the door, closing it behind you, and closed his eyes as he listened to you with his hearing.
You walked through the small hallway, noting how oddly quiet the small one story house was, aside from the clacking of your small heels against the hardwood flooring, it was as if everything was oddly still.
"Joshua?" You call out, your voice still a little shaky from earlier and probably combined with nerves. Why you were nervous, you didn't know, Joshua was harmless, he couldn't even kill a cockroach.
You veered off to the hallway that housed the two bedrooms the house held, and noticed the door to your guys' room was oddly closed. "Joshua?" You call out again, finally hearing a shuffle; hushed whispering behind the wood. You turn the knob, curious.
If you were quite honest, it wasn't the fact that you had caught him doing it, it was the fact that you didn't think he had ever had the fucking balls for it, let alone in your own home. You can't help but laugh a little at the sight of him standing in in the middle of the bed, a sheet covering his still hard, slightly less than average sized cock. You couldn't help but to laugh at that too, knowing what you had waiting for you in the car.
"Oh that's fucking hilarious.. would you believe me if I told you I was only here to tell you I've been doing the same thing?" You ask, shit eating smug grin sliding across your lips. "Holy fuck this entire year I've been feeling so bad for being with Elijah more romantically and sexually than we ever were, but this whole time you've been doing this?"
You shake your head stepping farther into the room, headed towards the dresser. You have a luggage bag sitting just next to it for a trip you were supposed to be taking next week to go visit your family, but hadn't yet packed for. You bend down towards it, feeling the skirt of your dress ride up, leaving your bottom on full display.
A choked noise comes from Joshua's throat as you throw open the lid to the case, and pull open your two drawers in the dresser, grabbing handfuls of clothes and tossing them into the open compartment as you did. You hear movement behind you, and someone sidling up behind you before you feel the skirt of your dress being pulled up to your midback.
"What the fuck is this, Y/N?" He asks, his voice calm but you could hear the undertone of intense anger behind it. His hand is on your ass, as if checking to see if it was even real what he was seeing. "Is this a fucking handprint? His handprint?"
You straighten, your dress falling as you look at him in the mirror. "Yeah, Joshua it is..he put it there about thirty minutes ago while he was fucking my brains out face down on his bed, right before he brought me here to get my things." You turn to face him, glancing at the bitch still on the bed that you had paid for. "And a lot more than you've ever done."
The look on his face is almost priceless, and you happily turn back to your bag, tossing in what was left in your drawers and getting it zipped. You start to leave when you feel his hand in your hair, pulling you backwards. "Hold the fuck on, you're not going anywhere you cheating fucking bitch," He says, and you hear the girl gasp.
"Let her go, Joshua!" She says, her voice full of her nervousness. "It's not like we weren't doing the same fucking thing, let her the fu-" She didn't have time to finish her sentence before she started screaming in fear as a blurred mass comes barreling through the bedroom, pushing you gently out of the way before grabbing your offender by the throat and pushing him up against the window on the opposite side of the room.
You can hear him growling, can tell his face has changed in the reflection of the glass and hes glaring your now ex boyfriend directly in the eye, the look on Joshua's face is one of absolute fear and panic. "Elijah stop it!" You yell, and you notice him falter. "He's not worth it, just take me home..i'm done here."
He doesn't move for a moment, his face still contorted with rage although he lets his normal face comeback. He moves his hand off of Joshua's neck and up to his face, gripping his jaw hard enough to turn make his eyes meet his own. "Joshua, i will let this go, but only because she is here. However, you will not reach out and contact her again, nor will you ever put your hands on another woman without their consent. Am I understood?" You see the man nod and Elijah drops him to the ground, where he crumples like tin foil.
"Right, come along now darling.." Elijah says, giving the girl on the bed just the briefest look. You shoot her a thankful smile for a least trying to stop Joshua from whatever he was about to do, he'd never been one to result to that kind of behavior before so it definitely took you by surprise and you were more than thankful that she had stepped in on your behalf. Elijah grabs your bag off the ground where it had fallen, and then tucks you up under his shoulder, leading you out of the room, and ultimately out of the house, though not before you can grab a photo of your sister and brother that had been hanging on the wall in the hallway, one of the only ones you had of you guys together as a family.
The ride to your new home is tense and quiet, though you know that he's not upset with you at all judging by the way his hand still lovingly rests on your thigh as he drives. You reach down and grab it, intertwining your fingers with his, something you loved doing in private and intimate moments alone with him, as you knew it wouldn't be private for long.
Nearly as soon as he had parked the car your blonde, fierce tempered best friend made her way outside, arms crossed over her chest as she watched Elijah help you out of the car before he went to grab your suitcase from the trunk.
"What happened? You smell like..stress.." She says, sniffing at you weirdly as welcomed you with open arms. "Welcome home, finally." She says, not even giving you a moment to answer as she catches her brothers strange look her way.
"Ill tell you later." You mouth, following behind your boyfriend as he heads inside, you ran to catch up with him, leaving your friend behind as he leads you to your now shared bedroom. Elijah sets your luggage off to the side, near the dresser before going over to a small chest on the other side of the room and pouring himself what looked to be a much needed drink. You purse your lips, headed to the connecting bathroom that already held many of your things from your numerous nighs spent here, fixing your hair in the mirror and touching up your lip gloss just the slightest bit before straightening out your outfit and giving yourself a once over in the mirror.
You found your vampire boyfriend seated on the chaise lounge not too far off from the bathroom, his head back, and a half full crystal glass of what appeared to be bourbon in his hand resting on the back of the lounge. You plant yourself firmly on his lap, legs on either side of his and peer down at him, your hands going to play with the bits of soft hair on the nape of his neck. He hums in response, his body relaxing at the feel of your touch.
"'lijah?" You ask, kissing his jaw just the slightest bit, almost as if to tease him. He hums again, his free hand sliding up the bare skin of your thigh to rest on your hip underneath of your dress, pushing the fabric up, almost as if he needed to be touching your skin in any way he possibly could. "I love you.." You whisper, grazing your lips against his as you speak, pressing yourself against his chest.
A noise sparks in the back of his throat as he kisses you back, lips pressed firmly against yours, holding your body in place against his own as he moves his hand from your hip to your lower back, hand splayed across it in an almost possessive way.
You move a hand from the back of his head, letting it trail over his shoulder and across his arm, fingertips ghosting over his hand as you reach for the glass it held, removing it from his grasp before reaching for the side table and setting it down haphazardly enough that the liquid splashes out of the rim.
His now free hand relocates to your thigh, the other traveling it's way up your back, resting on the back of your neck for the briefest of moments before winding up into your hair, clutching at it. Elijah groans after a moment, pulling away from you unexpectedly before yanking his hand from your hair, fingertips coated in blood. "You're bleeding.." He whispers.
You furrow your brow, face scrunching in confusion as you grab his hand, taking in the blood. You hadn't even felt any pain.. "Huh.." You say, shrugging it off. "he must've grabbed my hair hard enough that his nails dug in..i don't remember any pain though.." You feel his entire body tense up underneath of you at the mention of the events that had happened merely half an hour ago, a growl forms in his chest and a dark look passes over his face and you realize that that was definitely the wrong thing to say, you were used to seeing Elijah so composed and mannerly, you didn't even stop to think that he might not have been able to get past something like this so quickly, especially when it was pertaining to you as his significant other.
Quickly, you do the only thing that you can think of in the moment, and use your own fingers to smudge the blood off of his, looking him in the eye as you put them in his mouth. The vampire makes a noise of surprise, though doesn't reject to the experience, and you realize that he's never tastes your blood before, and that while that had always initially terrified you, doing it in this situation brought an arousal out of you that you didn't even think that you could possess.
Elijah sucks your fingers lightly, letting the taste of your crimson blood linger on his tongue, relishing in the delicacy that was your very own life force..for heavens sake he hadn't ever expected you to do that, of all things in that moment, but he'd be a damned liar if he hadn't nearly creamed his own trousers in that moment. There was no better drug in the world to him than blood, and he could officially say that there was no other blood in the world as fine tasting as your own.
You watch eyes wide, bare pussy sopping wet against his trousers as you watch him suck on your fingers, relishing in the taste. The absolute look of pure pleasure on his face was something you'd never quite seen on him before, and if you were being honest, you had definitely just opened a whole new world of pleasures for the both of you..
After a moment Elijah lets your fingers fall from your mouth, his hand wrapping around your wrist as he looks up at you, unable to even fathom words, drunk off what little taste of you he had just had. You see him swallow hard, as if trying to control himself, and without even thinking you press your lips to his in a harsh embrace, needy and desperate, of which he is all too quick to reciprocate.
You moan, hands at the collar of his shirt as you try to unbutton it, though your hands are too shakey and ultimately it's too slow work..without too much effort you pull at his shirt, the buttons flying apart but finally revealing his skin to you as you shove it off of his shoulders. He tugs his arms out, never breaking from you kiss as his hands go back to your body, squeezing and touching every inch of it.
Earlier had merely been foreplay at this point, and while he loved how beautiful your dress was on you, he couldn't stand to look at it anymore, not when he needed you oh so badly in this moment, and so, in similar fashion to your own, he merely tugs at the spot behind your neck, ripping the dress into two before tossing it somewhere off to the side. He kisses you with a hungry, firey passion, damn near growling in pleasure as he brings a harsh smack down upon your bare ass cheek, which had to have still been sore from earlier.
You squeal at the contact, breaking your kiss for merely a second to catch your breath before giggling like a ditz as he stands to his feet with ease, you in his arms, before tossing you into the middle of his large, four poster bed. You land on your back, bouncing against the mattress. Propped up on your elbows you watch as he makes quick work of his trousers and underwear, surprised to see how hard his cock was already as it swings free of it's restraints.
It's almost predatory the way that he climbs up the bed towards you, eyes held on you, unwavering, gives him the predatory aura, and it quite literally suits him. You watch the muscles in his arms move under his skin with each movement he makes, every inch that he comes closer to you, admiring the way his body looked as he stared down at you, ready to pounce on you.
He finally makes his way between your legs, lingering wet kisses up your body as he presses against you, trailing harsh hickies up your neck, before coming to rest on your face. You're breathless a the sensation of his teeth against your skin, and as he brings his face up to yours, you gasp, this wasn't youre usual Elijah, the person staring at you now was 100% vampire. The veins in his face are prominent, and you notice that his grasp is much stronger than normal as he takes hold of your thigh, bringing it up to hook around his waist, cock sliding into your sopping pussy as he does.
You clench around him immediately, a moan coming from deep within you as you throw your head back, instinctively moving your other leg up to wrap around him, not wanting to let him go as you pull him against your body. The pace he sets is damn near brutal, but none the less pleasurable for you as he takes hard, deep strokes in and out of your already quivering cunt, your brain unable to keep with the sensation as you babble out a string of incoherent noises.
He loves you like this, an absolute vulnerable mess under him, and call it the predator in him, but god damn it only spurred him on farther. His cock was hard he could barely feel it, and he knew that like this he could go for hours, although deep in his mind that little voice reminded him that you were still human, and he was already brutally fucking you into his mattress.
"'lijah, i..oh..holy..ohmygod..." Is the string of words that falls from your mouth as he pulls an earth-shattering orgasm from you in barely a few minutes, he growls in response taking your lips against his own harshly once more, using a hand behind your head to lock you in place against him as he splits his tongue between your lips, searching for your own withing the cavern of your mouth.
His pace doesn't falter, and as he brings the hand out from behind your head, once more tainted with your blood, he drags it across the skin of your chest, painting you with the red liquid he so desperately craved. His mouth follows his hand, tongue lapping up every bit of it he could get, groaning so fucking pathetically with pleasure as he does it. The taste of your blood turns him on in such a way that he suddenly realizes he's not going to last too much longer, and with one hand, he braces himself against the mattress, forearm holding his weight next to your head as he uses his other one to slip under your lower back, lifting your hips up into a new position as he continued to drive his cock into you harsher than he ever had before, grinning almost sadistically at you as your panted, barely comprehendable words turn into a river of high pitched squeals, your hands grabbing onto anything they could reach to brace yourself, face almost unreadable from how fucking amazing you were feeling.
Elijah growls, hand gripping on to his bedding as he stares down at you, the taste of your blood still lingering on his taste buds. He needed more, though even in his most animalistic state he knew he couldn't straight up drink from you, too afraid that he would accidentally drain you.
After a few moments more of his continued pace, the bed jolting underneath of you, the vampire rakes his teeth across the skin of your chest, right above your left breast, right above your heart, his teeth sinking in just enough to draw blood to the surface, letting it flow out and smear against his lips, you moan at the sensation, and as you watch hin lick your blood from your skin your pussy clenches hard, drawing out a strangled moan from him as your nails clamp down into the skin of his shoulder blades, drawing blood on your own as you clung to him for dear life, fearing he was going to fuck you through the floor.
You knew what he was holding back from, could feel it in the way he clenched his eyes shut after licking your chest clean, it wasn't enough. You also knew you couldn't take much more of this brutal pounding to your pussy (as much as you do enjoy this unexplored side of him).
Deciding that you trust him enough, you gather your breath, trying to think in a clear pattern before you use both hands to grip the back of his head, pulling at his hair to lift his head up to look at you, staring into his eyes.
"Bite. Me." You say, nodding at him, before losing yourself in a moan again as he yet again shifts your position to your body being damn near folded un half, you scream as you feel the bed give out beneath you and drop to the ground, thr movement somehow sending his cock even deeper inside of you, and God it is a sensation you haven't ever felt before.."Elijah, baby, please..please..please.." you don't even remember what you're begging for, and can barely comprehend the movement of his face to your neck, where he nuzzles it almost lovingly before you feel his teeth sink into the delicate, already bruised skin and start sucking, a sensation that borders on pain and euphoria. the feeling is brief, and you very distinctly hear him shout in ecstasy as his hot cum sprays inside of you, pumping it into you for a minuet or too before he has to stop, both of you overestimated and over-fucked.
His body slumps against yours, both of you relaxing, bodies pressed against each other as you play with his hair, your brain still reeling from the way that he had fucked you, and from the very intimate moment you had just shared with him..
You feel his body start to slump more, and you know he's about to fall asleep, though before he does he makes sure to shift the both of you so that you're spooning, him behind you. Somehow, maneuvering you so that his cock doesn't slip out, he didn't jniw why, but he needed to keep feeling you like that for a while, wanting to feel connected to you in any way now that he had drinken your blood in that way..he had just claimed you for the entire vampire world, that mark would scar, and it's not like most of the vampire population didn't already know..he couldn't ever be too safe though..
"Elijah.." You mumble, eyes closed. You hear him hum behind you, feel his arm tighten around your middle as he tried to pull you closer.."We broke the bed.."
He chuckles behind you, kissing the back of your head before whispering in your ear, "I love you, baby.."
Title: A new Christmas love
Pairing: Haylijah, One-sided! Elijah M. x Original!Reader,Bruce W. x Original!Reader
Warnings: Angst, Fluff, Hints of smut, Jealous!Elijah, Cute Reader and Bruce moments
A/N: wanted to do a two part Christmas fic also Happy Holidays 😊
You sighed watching Hayley and Elijah as they danced leaving you in heartache which Klaus noticed and quickly was at yourside. You were an Original Heretic, the first wife to Klaus when you both were human.
And you were deeply in love with Elijah and had only married Klaus because the hybrid wanted to protect you from your abusive father. Once you became vampires, Klaus and you split up since you both were just close friends. Klaus knew of your feelings for Elijah but the noble vampire loved Tatia and now Hayley.
"You alright, love?" Klaus asked taking your hand worry shining in the blue eyes you adored for him since you had confessed to Elijah on Christmas of 1913. You still remember the words Elijah spoke to you.
'It wouldn't be right of me to take my brother's ex wife on as a lover.' Elijah had told you yet it was alright for him to sleep with the mother of Klaus's child.
"Yes Niklaus....I'll be okay." You said softly to Klaus who frowned looking to Elijah and Hayley, anger bubbling in Klaus's chest. When you were human, Klaus admired how strong you were but now it just angered Klaus.
"My brother is an fool. He knows the truth of our marriage yet keeps his stupid sense of what is noble and sleeps with Hayley." Klaus mutters lacing his fingers with yours and kissing the spot where your wedding band once was.
"I will move on....it is clear Elijah loves me not. Now go see that cute bartender. Her name is Camille, is it not?" You teased your ex husband who flushed looking away then kissed your forehead before going over to Camille. You sighed heading over to the bar to get a drink.
"Is this seat taken?" You heard a smooth voice asked making you look seeing a handsome man. Dressed in a good suit, the man clean shaven, black hair slicked back with beautiful blue eyes. Your heart fluttered looking at the man as your cheeks warmed.
"No. I'm Y/N Mikaelson." You say holding your hand out to the man who smiled kissing your knuckles making your heart jump.
"Bruce Wayne, a pleasure Mrs. Mikaelson." Bruce says sitting next to you with a smile.
"It's just Y/N, Mr. Wayne. Nik is my ex husband." You said grabbed your wine as Bruce smiled leaning close.
"Then just called me, Bruce." Bruce says smiling at you and you felt like a little school school talking to the most handsome boy in school.
"Looks like mama got someone's attention." Hope commented making Rebekah blink looking to where the 12 year old was pointing. The blonde grabbed Finn's and Kol's arms, biting her lip to keep from squealing.
And her brothers looked surprised to see you swaying with Bruce. You were giggly and your cheeks were flushed clearly enjoying the attention from Bruce.
"Yes and it seems Elijah had noticed." Kol says pointing out Elijah who stopped watching you with Bruce.
The siblings watched noticing how Elijah seemed jealous as the vampire watching you while talking to Hayley.
You giggled again when Bruce whispered in your ear again, your heart fluttered feeling Bruce's lips lightly brush along your skin.
"Shame I'll have to fly back to Gotham in the morning." Bruce says looking at you when you pulled away just a bit.
"I could give you my number. And maybe fly up to see you for dates....if you want." You said looking away as Bruce smiled.
"I would like that." Bruce says making you look up at Bruce seeing his smile and you smiled at him. By the end of the night Elijah found hisself watching you lead Bruce up to your bedroom as jealousy sat in his chest.
"Elijah? You okay?" Hayley asked seeing Elijah give her a tight lip smile hearing your bedroom door close.
"Just fine my love." Elijah says following Hayley upstairs while the others gave each other knowing looks.
--
You snuggled closer to the warm body in your bed making you jolt awake and saw it was Bruce. You smiled gently touching his cheek rubbing it as memories of last night since Bruce had gave a world of pleasure more than your past lovers. You were startled feeling Bruce kissing your palm and saw a playful glint in his blue eyes.
"Goodmorning beautiful." Bruce said his voice husky from sleep getting you to rub your thighs together. Bruce had gotten you to feel things that you thought you only flet for Elijah....yet here was Bruce lighting your heart on fire with desire.
"Goodmorning. Didn't you have a flight?" You asked wrapping your arms around Bruce's neck. The human smirked cupping your cheek kissing you deeply as his other hand gripped your thigh rolling you both over.
"I can always fly out later. Right now I really want to enjoy you." Bruce says leaving more marks on your neck as you flushed. You noticed how small you were under Bruce making you shiver with excitement.
"Very smooth there Bruce." You giggled leaning up kissing Bruce and he kissed back with his hands gripping your hips.
--
Elijah narrowed his eyes when you finally came down stairs with Bruce. Elijah noticed you had a slight limp, you had freshly showered and was showing Bruce out. The family watched Bruce leaned down to kiss you softly and listened to you and Bruce.
"So I'll see next weekend?" You asked as Bruce smiled kissing your hand.
"I would love that. I shall fly out, is alright to call you when I get home?" Bruce asked brushing a few strands of hair from your face. You nodded smiling up at Bruce feeling like that you could be with Bruce.
"Had a good night, love?" Teased Klaus as you flushed pouring a cup of tea when you joined the family. Elijah watched you closely feeling jealousy creep back up when you sat down.
"Yes. Oh Bruce is just wonderful, he is a gentleman and so sweet." You gushed eyes twinkling with such joy that Klaus hadn't seen in a long time.
"Are you going to see him again?" Elijah asked staring at you making you stop noticing the tone Elijah used.
"Yes, Bruce and I are making plans to spend Christmas together." You said wondering why Elijah was seemly jealous. Elijah narrowed his eyes cutting into his omelet as the siblings blinked.
"Making plans with someone and not spend it with family." Elijah said making you flush feeling bad but Klaus moved in to save the day.
"Or Bruce and his family could join us. After all brother you should be happy that our dear Y/N seeing someone for the first time in a century."
"Yes, of course Niklaus." Elijah said giving a tight smile watching you talk to Rebekah about last night. Elijah pushed down the jealousy and tried to be happy for you and hoped he could get though Christmas.
Elijah Mikaelson X Ex!Reader Warnings: mentions of blood, semi-dying (turned vampire)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The universe must despise you... Absolutely loathe, because how else could you explain this? There really wasn't a warning, a 'hey, by the way my family and I are vampires, and my sadistic brother is pissed that I like you', but you sure wish you knew. Wish you would have walked into that ballroom--then you would have saved yourself from such a fate... You look back, and all you remember of your time with the Mikaelson's was the destruction that followed in their path.
Elijah admittedly, was drawn to you from the moment he saw you--his family had travelled to France, settling in with unknowing nobility. At first, he only ever knew you as the brightest of stars and suns, unbeknownst to him--your older brother had already declared himself the Sun King. It makes sense, to think that you would align with such a familial term.
You were undoubtedly, a sun and star in the bleak world of French Court, and Elijah was completely taken by every aspect of you. No matter how he spun the story, or tried to ignore your obvious charms--you worked your way into his life with ease. Barely batting an eye, and how could he object? What more was he supposed to do? Send you away? Say no to your quest to know him, to grow close to him?
In many ways, you were sought after my global suitors—to have the hand of the elusive French Princess is an aim of many. And yet, you were enamored by the charms of Elijah Mikaelson and his mysterious family. They showed up, and unlike everyone here, who held status and name—they somehow got it all, with only their arrival. Currying favor with your brother, and in many ways, intriguing your interest.
Your brother wastes no time taking your hand, Versailles was meant to be the new palace and as you glance around the ballroom. An expansive room that has never been seen like this—you were awe of your brothers vision. With a smile, you follow his lead to the center of the room—per your brothers promise, you were to have the first dance with him, when this room was complete.
Louis always made good on his promises to you. Only to you.
However, with the final flourish of violins, you lower your head into a bow and then smile up at your brother. He returns your smile, but his eyes travel to a figure behind you to which you turn around. Only to be greeted by the enticing gaze of Elijah Mikaelson; curiously, he does not seem to create any measurable distance as he smiles at you. However, he does turn his eyes to your brother and all you can do is watch how his lips seem to move.
"Your majesty, with your permission, I'd be honored to ask the princess for a dance?" You practically swoon as he speaks, and when your brother doesn't answer right away--you turn your head slightly to catch his eye, giving him a tight smile and eyeing him as if to say 'don't you ruin this'. How could you not be interested in him? He asked your brother for permission to ask you, many would skip over the asking you part and just believe that you are simply your brother's property.
"If it is alright with her, then you have my blessing." Energy pulses into your feet, and for a second, you are jittery with excitement. Barely able to sit still as Elijah holds out his hand, and you take it without hesitation. Allowing yourself the freedom to dance, to not feel as though you are waiting in the wings. Waiting for a marriage. Waiting for your brother's decide your partner. Waiting for your love life to be for the good of France. Even when Louis assured you he would never do that, how could you believe him when anyone else would? Any other king would marry you off to the highest bidder without a second thought.
Now you focus only at the tantalizing expression of Elijah, loving the way his hair curls and the brown hues of his eyes. Then the energy shifts, it is not as lively or jumpy, it is slow--it is quiet. And you would stay in this moment forever, basking in the way his eyes look at you with the upmost care. He seems to hold tenderness in his palms, to the point that they warm your bitter heart.
You had given up the notion of falling in love, until that moment. So much so, that you remember it vividly and painfully. If you knew then, what you know now--maybe you wouldn't be living through another century in bitterness.
You bring the wine glass to your lips, glaring at the Salvatore brothers' who just happened to walk into Mystic Falls and ruin a good thing with their presence. You were here for a couple years before they got here, chasing down another lead on the Mikaelson's, but once you got here—you decided maybe it was time to get over it. Maybe you needed to move forward with your life.
"Hey Princess..." If blood pressure affected you, the sound of Damon's voice would send you into a heart attack. From the day you met, he absolutely drove you insane with his incessant talking and flirting, and him. You reopen your eyes and give him a tight smile, recalling how Stefan and Damon were idiots and it was Caroline who figured out you were vampire. Apparently she researched Versaille for a project, and recognized you in several of the portraits. Since then, Damon has not walked, but run with the nickname and it drives you insane.
"Yes, Damon?" He gives you that signature smile that drives the girls wild, but call you cruel, it does nothing to break away the stone.
"You know your my favorite French Princess?"
"I'm the only one willing to tolerate your presence, but please continue-" He wants something, you know that with absolute certainty, but now you want to know what. Call you curious, but these Salvatore's know how to get around and have some fun.
"We have a bit of a-vampire problem, they kidnapped Elena and we could use a third hand?" He quirks a brow, you find the proposal intriguing and you know they're just using you for your age. You have a hundred years on them, and that might make a difference depending on what vampire kidnapped the poor human, Katherine doppelgänger.
You shrug your shoulders, down the rest of your wine and stand up from the bar stool. "Why not? Might as well do something, I was bored anyways." Damon's smile widens and you pop your lips, as he gestures to the door—bowing mockingly, although it doesn't bother you as much as it used to.
"This way, milady." Dying the first time around, on that alter, was enough to send anyone over the edge. Your brothers' thought you dead, you were brought to your chambers and when you woke—you were alone, with only a dainty ring on your finger as a reminder of your old life.
At first, you thought the ring was a final gift from Louis, you never took it off, but one day you did and connected the dots between the sun and the ring. Which means it was from Elijah, a token and reminder of the betrayal. You twist the ring around, you wished you could wear it on any other finger, but it was perfectly fit to your ring finger alone. It was simple, but intricate—how you often would describe Elijah. It was cruel.
A final parting gift for his now wife… The same one he hasn’t seen since that moment, and left an unending bitter vengeance within you. So much so, that you would do anything to bring him just as much misery. You lost you brothers. Your home. Your status and wealth, and you lost him—in one fell swoop.
The manor in of itself is nothing short of disappointing, you half expected the Americas to be filled with palaces and chateaus. The grandeur of the American dream was sought after, but instead, these buildings are rickety and decayed. They are no Versailles.
Chasing palaces in a country of manors did nothing to sate the ambitions of settlers—you remember the move clearly, recalling the mortality of ship dwellers. Remember their vigor and will, they were survivors never meant to survive; again, your immortality became evident. It became impossible. To know you had the cure to all diseases, and yet unable to share knowing that this is your curse to bare alone.
Elijah made that clear.
“I’ll go around the back.” You whisper, having long forgotten of your thoughts and memories—given the Salvatore brother reputation, you hardly doubt they’ll manage to sneak up on the vampires.
Honestly, it’s better to have a plan C in case their plan A and B fail miserably. Which they usually do, because they’re the Salvatore brothers.
.
.
.
Pinned to the wall by the wood, you lean into your chair—rolling the stake in your palm. Your ghosts seem to have risen to the surface once more, a veil of white linen reminds you his betrayal. Elijah Mikaelson… You were certain you had seen the last of him all those years ago, recall the very moment when that became certain.
“Dearest husband…” You him seeing his eyes reopen and dart wildly, before settling on you completely. “I think it’s about time we talk.” Your lip quirks a little, the wood scratching at the inside of your hand.
There is a heavy silence as he sits across from you, watching you with a curious glance.
“Y/N.”
“You used to call me Princess…” You hmm, “However, your brother stole that from me. Just as you stole my future.”
“Y/N. I never wanted to hurt you.”
“Oh no, you simply lied. So much so, that when your brother turned me. You left, like a coward.”
“What was I supposed to do? Hope you forgave me? For lying? For watching?”
“Yes?!” You shout incredulously, finally raising your voice for the first time since the conversation began. Your cheeks flushed with frustration and blinded by the emotions. “It would have been nice to not wake up alone, and scared.” You shrug, raising your eyebrows as you do so. “My brothers never even got to bury me, as a catholic? Do you know how difficult a pill that was to swallow?”
“You were my greatest love.”
“Was… That’s probably the most honest thing you’ve ever said.”
“That’s not what I meant.” You shake your head, just watching him—just wishing you understood what was happening in his head because nothing made much sense.
“But it is. You knew he turned me and instead of staying, you left me to figure it all out on my own.” You gesture your hands wide: “Do you know how many servants I tore through before I even understood what happened?”
“I’m sorry Y/N. If I could go back, I would do anything to change what happened. I never would have asked you to dance.” You fly off your chair, jaw clenched and eyes daggered on him.
“There it is! See, still just a coward. Meeting you, loving you—it was the single greatest feeling of that time. And once again, instead of facing the truth, that you ran away and apologizing.” You shrug, “You admit you would just erase it all.”
Something about that makes it hurt even more for you, the fact that Elijah didn’t see you as you saw him. He refused to see you as the great love you saw him as. He just simply couldn’t.
“I should have looked for you.” You let him loose, putting on your jacket that you had taken off earlier. A feeling of distaste having grown in the pit of your stomach as he makes his assertion.
“I wish I hadn’t looked for you at all. Then I wouldn’t be here, and I wouldn’t have had to see you.” Sure, you’d been here longer than the Salvatore brothers and longer than Elena Gilbert, but truthfully, you never would have crossed the sea if you weren’t seeking him out. Never would have made it this far.
“Cmon Y/N… What did you expect me to do?”
“Stay. I expected ‘till death do us part’ to mean something.” You say it simply, walking out of the house and hoping that if you kept walking. Eventually you would run out of land, and just disappear.
Only Elijah didn’t let you have a moment of peace, and from then on, he was everywhere you were. So long as no one else could see him.
“Damon. Have a drink with me.”
“Whatever you say your highness.” You roll your eyes, but pour him a drink—knowing that the Original wouldn’t dare come to bother you while the Salvatore was near.
It was also nice change of pace, knowing that your amicable relationship with Damon irritated him so.
“Ya know why I help you Salvatore’s? It’s because love got us into this mess in the first place.” Damon takes a long drink, raising his eyebrow as you give a dry chuckle. Knowing that Elijah is listening, you continue. “I was changed on my wedding day, right after the ‘I do’s’. By my husbands maniac brother no less.”
You spot him, his reflection in a glass bottle on the wall—so close you can see the memories you see going through his mind. See the regret.
“Sounds like a great wedding gift.”
“Sometimes. Other times, not so great. Ya know what he said, long live the happy couple… His jealousy and insecurity is why he turned me, but the worst part, my so called husband left.” Damon makes a face, and you smile—taking a drink yourself.
“Honestly good riddance. You look better single anyways, Princess.” There it is, the spark of jealousy in Elijah’s eye. The resolve breaking as Damon gives that smirk that sends all the girls over the edge.
“Who knew Damon had a thing?”
“I have lots of things.”
“I know. It’s just more fun pretending I don’t.”
By the time you look back up at the glass, Elijah is gone and you are left with a little more satisfaction than intended. Smiling a little as you feel Damon move closer, and for a moment, you are just two people at a bar.
.
.
.
“Y/N. Is this how we’re going to act? Like children poking each other with sticks?” You laugh as Elijah enters your room without warning, and without care. He’s been doing that a lot lately.
“No I poked you with a stick. You stabbed me in the back with a knife, when I was on an alter in a white dress.”
“I get you are angry, but there’s no reason—”
“Oh there’s plenty of reason, is the undead bridal humor just not your cup of tea?” You purse your lips and give a shrug, “I mean that’s too bad, because it’s all I’ve got to say to you.”
“You had plenty to say to the Salvatore.”
“No shit. It’s called mutual benefit, something you don’t understand since the only one who ever seems to benefit is Klaus.”
“Enough! Klaus has nothing to do with this.” You feel your whole body course with anger, practically seething as you shove Elijah away.
“He has everything to do with this—” You gesture between the two of you, sneering. “Because you would have chosen me. And that’s why he did it, because you can’t live with yourself. Forcing me into this, was his way of guilting you into leaving. Benefiting him, and him alone.” You shrug, “And you let him.”
“I couldn’t…” You raise your eyebrow, staring him down and wondering what he could say. What excuse can he make up to rationalize everything that happened all those years ago. “I couldn’t stand knowing I put you into such a vulnerable position. Klaus never would have— I never wanted to take anything from you.”
“You took so much more by leaving.”
“I won’t deny I regret that, but—”
“But I still wish we never met.”
Silence.
“That’s why it doesn’t matter what I do with Damon. Or anyone. And for the first time in a hundred years, I feel content with that.” You feel more free, getting to say your piece to the Original. You had thought you’d take him back, or fall back under that spell. “So I think it’s best if you go.”
Our little game pt. 3
~Part 1~ ~Part 2~ ~Part 4~ ~Part 5~
Pairing: Klaus Mikaelson x witch! reader Summary: Thomas has been trying to mend your relationship all weeks leading up to the wedding. You must admit that he was a true, sweet gentleman, but… something was wrong. You didn't feel those butterflies (or moles as Kol used to say) in your stomach when you were close to him. You thought that maybe after bachelorette party and wedding you two would again get along with eachother and everyting will be fine. But drunk you had a completely different idea to solve this situation. Warning(s): smut mention, swearings, I used the thread from "Friends", I don't regret anything (I guess) Word count: 4,6k
Tumblr media
*Two months later*
"I can't believe it has gone by so quickly, I feel like I just arrived in New Orleans." I said to the girls while we were putting on our dresses for the party.
"Yes. Me too. I feel like Elijah proposed to me yesterday, and now the four of us are going to my bachelorette party."
"Actually five. I invited Cami." Rebekah corrected Kath while fixing her makeup.
"Since when have you exactly been friends with Klaus' therapist?" I asked, not believing for a moment in her good intentions toward the bartender.
"Since she's trying to talk you out of the ridiculous idea of getting back with your ex."
"Hey! We all agree that we're not going to discuss that topic. Today is about Katherine. Only her."
"Take it easy, Y/N. We're just worried about you."
"There's no need, Katherine. I can take care of myself. Also, I haven't decided yet what I'm going to do with this mess around me. It's enough that the Mystic Falls gang put me on their blacklist a week ago. I don't need more complications."
Yes. Officially, Damon Salvatore has become my enemy because I refuse to help him bring Elena back from her "sleeping beauty state." At least Bonnie stayed my friend.
"Well, I saw both of you in that new restaurant. You two seemed quite enjoyable with your company." Rebekah snapped me out of my thoughts.
The original vampire spent the whole two months trying to force me to set up with her brother. It was getting pretty tiring to the point that I decided to avoid Klaus like the plague and not give the blonde a chance to put her plans into action. I loved her with all my heart, but I will not allow anyone to meddle in my affairs and try to set me on a particular path. Not even one of my best friends.
"Yeah, like one meeting was a declaration of true, unconditional love." I replied sarcastically, turning my attention back to my reflection in the mirror. I started putting on my makeup, being careful not to accidentally gouge my eye out with mascara. "Thomas and I spent half life with ourselves. It's obvious that we're feeling good together when we know each other better than anyone else."
"That's what we're all trying to tell you!" the woman snatched the mascara from my hand and turned to look at me in the eyes. "You don't love him anymore! He is like an old, favorite movie; you watch it because you have a soft spot for it, not because it brings you new, amazing emotions. You got used to having him around. And you're afraid that my brother will destroy your idea of loving Thomas. Even if it's obvious to everyone that you don't have any feelings for him. You fell for Nik, finally admit it to yourself!" she burst out, reproaching me again.
"Rebekah, enough. You're crossing the line." Freya stepped between us, wanting to reassure her little sister and trying to lighten the atmosphere.
"You want me to finally make a decision? Fine. Right after the wedding, I'm going back to Thomas. You don't have to wish me luck. I already know I'll be very happy with him." I replied, staring furiously at the blonde over Freya's shoulder.
"You have to be joking?! Seriously? Are you doing it just to spite me?"
"I'll meet you all downstairs. I promised to call Tom before we went out all night." I said, ignoring Rebekah's angry look at me.
I left the room quickly before any of the vampires (or the witch) could stop me, heading for the only place I could get some privacy.
Klaus' art studio.
The guys had already left the mansion an hour ago, teasing Katherine that they would make one last effort to find someone better for Elijah before she "ringed him with a golden muzzle," so I was sure no one would find me there. Who would have guessed I was hiding in the "cave" of a big bad wolf?
I was walking in a dark room, lit only by the moonlight. I took my phone out of my dress pocket and dialed Tom's number. I put the device to my ear, staring at the unfinished painting on the easel. Klaus must have been pretty pissed while painting it. I hadn't even seen so much intense red when the hybrid returned covered in blood from one of his "preventive missions."
"Y/N?" Thomas's voice snapped me out of my thoughts about the original.
"Hi." I replied with a little smile, sitting on the piano opposite the easel. Klaus went all out designing his studio.
"Hello, honey. Are you going out with the girls?"
"Yes. So don't bother calling; I won't answer, and even if I do, I doubt I'll be in a good condition." I replied jokingly, smiling wider as I heard his laugh.
"Ha ha. You know what they say: You are the truest version of yourself after alcohol."
"Is this your way to tell me that you're waiting on a drunken love confession from me? It isn't quite romantic, don't you think?"
"I don't care about it as long as it's true." I smiled. I wanted to respond to his taunt, but I froze in place as I saw someone's all-too-familiar blue eyes in the darkness of the studio. As our gazes met, he went out from the shadow and stood right in front of me. "Y/N? Can you hear me?"
"I have to go. I'll call you tomorrow, Tommy." Klaus wrinkled his nose at the "cute" diminutive.
"Have a good time, honey. Don't drink too much or I'll have to pick you up." before I could answer, Klaus snatched the phone from my hand.
"You don't have to worry about her. She will be in my excellent care, Timon," he said maliciously before aggressively hanging up.
"Seriously? Don't you have a brother to drink up instead of messing with my boyfriend? By the way, his name isn't Timon."
"Your boyfriend?" he laughed incredulously, shaking his head. "Since when? If I remember correctly, he left you for like... two years ago?"
"So what? You're not better at all."
"Unlike him, I was interested in your fate, love."
"Sending your minions to follow my every move is stalking, not caring. And stop calling me that. It's disgusting." I said, turning towards the exit, but the hybrid blocked my way as usual. The look of displeasure on his face instantly made me feel much better.
"They didn't follow you... most of the time. I just wanted to make sure you're okay and you're not putting yourself in unnecessary danger for the sake of those imbeciles."
"Did you know that there is an ancient gadget called the telephone? You could have checked for yourself if I was alive."
"You changed your number." I blushed at my stupidity. He was right. Right after breaking up with Tom, my phone suffered minor damage due to my sudden emotions and relative lack of control over my magic. I just don't know why it hurt so much that he couldn't text me. It's not like I've been waiting for his call all these years... right?
"Well, we can't go back in time and change that anyway. There's no point in dwelling on it." I finally replied, looking away from him to hide my true feelings.
The man wouldn't let me get away from him so easily. His left hand went to my chin, forcing me to look again into his blue eyes, which gradually began to give way to his night-black pupils.
"So that's it? You want to go back to him as if nothing happened? Like I didn't send you a thousand bloody letters to beg you for a little piece of your attention like a desperate fool, that I am every single time you look at me!" he exploded.
His jaw was clenched in anger, and his other hand was clenched so tightly that it seemed to me that droplets of blood were dripping from it. But my stupid brain could only process one goddamn thing in this improbable situation.
"Letters? What letters?"
"Oh, don't play with me like this, love…" he tried to walk away from me, but I grabbed his arm before he made any step towards the exit.
"Klaus, what letters? I didn't get anything from you since you went." I asked, searching his face for any explanation.
"Don't lie to me. It's even beneath you." he replied contemptuously.
A red light went on in my head. The son of a bitch had no right to walk into my already messy life with his fucking shoes and accuse me of whatever shit he fancied. This is exactly what caused my agitation. Not the hostile look I couldn't take from him.
"Beneath me? How can you tell if something is in "my type" or not?! You don't even fucking know me!" his jaw tightened. In the next second, he pushed me into a wall and put his hands on both sides of my head. His eyes were enraged, mad, and... passionate.
"I know you better than myself. I spent months admiring you in the shadows until you decided that I was curious enough to be noticed by you. It took you a bloody year to warm up to me and to treat me like something more than a monster. And when we were apart… I've never missed anyone as much as I have missed you in the thousand years I've lived. You told me here months ago that you would be the one to burn me. You were too stubborn to admit our connection that much, that you, love, didn't notice I was already burned by you a long time ago."
"You're lying. You wouldn't even have come up with that stupid excuse if Thomas hadn't shown up. You want me to lose my chance at happiness, don't you? The moment I trust you, you'll stab me in the back for your own amusement."
"Is your beloved ex-boyfriend, as I would like to point out, clouding your mental clarity so much?"
"Maybe he's my ex, but unlike some people, he really cares about me, not my power."
"Did he? Because if I had a chance, which you gave him, I would never, ever leave you. Not even if I could rule all of this damn world."
"Please, it's impossible that you could truly love…" he cut me off, pulling my face closer to his lips to shut me up by kissing me.
I imagined that moment so many times in my head, but nothing conveyed the true feeling of his lips on mine.
I moaned as he bit my lips and opened a way into my mouth like that. His treacherous tongue slipped inside like a snake, catching mine in his snare.
The sounds of brushes and paints falling were my only warning before he grabbed me around the waist, set me down on the table, and made me his height to (surely) kiss me dead.
The moment one of his hands started wandering toward the zipper of my dress, making me shiver every time his fingers touched my exposed skin, was a time when the warnings of my mind shouted over the dark, hidden desire of my foolish heart.
*SLAP!*
My hand left a small red mark on his left cheek for a while before his vampire power healed it. He slowly turned his head towards me, with his own hand on the place I slapped him, shocked that I (a little, mortal witch) was that dumb-brave to do this.
I breathed heavily as I stared into his impenetrable oceanic iris.
"Don't..."
"Why?"
"Because I… you… we can't…" He leaned his head down toward mine so that our noses were touching. Our lips were disconcertingly close for me to express any logical thought that wasn't related to HIM.
"Y/N!! We're going to be late! Hurry up!" Katherine's voice made me jump out of the hybrid's embrace, scared of what might have happened in the art room if she hadn't interrupted us.
Before I left the room, he grabbed my hand and turned me to face him. I fell straight into his chest. His second hand grabbed around my waist, making sure I wouldn't go before he stopped talking.
"Have your fun, love. We'll continue this discussion when you return." he said as he tucked my hair behind my ear.
"Y/N! What could possibly be taking so long?!"
"We have nothing to discuss." I growled, yanking myself out of his grip, and went out without even looking at him.
I need vodka or I'll completely lose my mind.
~•♤♤♤•~
"Ha ha, I can't believe it!" I was laughing so hard when Rebekah finished her story about Klaus and Elijah running from bees when they were humans.
"I swear to you, they came out of the river drenched as ducks, only to meet some "huge and terrifying wild beast" and roll in the mud to let him lose their scent. They screamed like little girls as he approached them and growled at them. Kol was bursting with laughter, but in the end our mother's old fur fell off him and he had to run away from them."
"All right! How do I look?" Katherine emerged from the dressing room, making an impressive turn in front of us to present her dress (not a particularly successful one, given how much alcohol we had consumed).
"I like it, but you look much better in your real wedding dress." Freya commented as she adjusted Cami's fake veil.
Yes. All five of us decided to put on white dresses and continue our evening dressed like this. I have no fucking idea how it happened.
"I know where we should go next!" Rebekah screamed, threw my legs off her and got off the couch. She ran over to Katherine, showing her something on her phone and whispering conspiratorially. I shrugged, grabbing a bottle of champagne.
Freya snatched the bottle from my hand, handing it to Cami. The barmaid drank the rest of its contents and sat down next to me. I put my head on her lap so she could comb my hair. I closed my eyes, feeling a little relaxed for the first time in weeks. The quiet whispers of the vampires in the background and the slow, calming movements of the blonde's hand were a wonderful sleep aid.
"Don't fall asleep, sleeping princess! We're going dancing." an enthusiastic Rebekah nudged me gently on the arm, trying to pull me out of my own world.
"Dancing? Where?" I asked, opening one eye to look unconvinced at the blonde.
"You will see. Come on, the night is still young, and we're not drunk enough." the vampire grabbed my arm and dragged me down the stairs to the waiting limousine.
The five of us drank chilled champagne from the limousine in seconds, continuing to talk nonsense until we were at the door of the club Rebekah wanted to take us to.
If I had seen its name better, maybe I would have realized that this is the same place the guys went to celebrate Elijah's bachelor party, and maybe what happened later that night wouldn't have happened at all.
But we all went inside and lost each other in a sea of other people.
I looked around the crowd until I saw a familiar face at the bar. Instantly, my heart warmed, and the unreasonable desire to approach him overcame the rational side of my brain. I ran towards him, doing my best not to step on the white dress. Without knowing why, the people around me immediately let me through, so I didn't have to push through them.
"Nikkie!" I screamed when I saw the hybrid. I made a few steps toward him, and I fell into his arms, tripping over my fake wedding dress. I could hear Kol chuckling in the background. "I've missed you, love."
"You know I can get you two married at any moment, brother? Just say a word."
Kol took his beer from the bar as I leaned dangerously close to him, threatening to accidentally spill the alcohol down my dress. Klaus held me closer to him so that I wouldn't wobble from side to side, checking to make sure my drunken walk towards them didn't injure me in the process.
"Shut up, Kol. She's drunk."
"Hey! I'm not drunk, but you're ridiculously hot when you're mad." I giggled as I cupped his face and kissed a crease between his eyebrows. "And so sweet when you're confused." I said, chuckling after he gave me an incredulous look.
"The offer is still valid." a vampire muttered under his breath, teasing his brother.
"For bloody hell, Kol, I'm not gonna marry her!" he growled at him. Suddenly, I felt very sad. Tears came to my eyes from nowhere.
"No? Why? You don't love me?" I asked, sobbing. His eyes immediately fell on my weeping form in pure panic. Nik gently pulled me to him and cupped my cheek, wiping away my tears with his thumb as he looked at me softly.
"Yes, Nikkie, don't you love her?" Kol interrupted our moment, much to Klaus' annoyance and anger.
"If you want to live to see tomorrow, get out of my sight. Now."
"Have fun together, Nikkie!"
He followed him with his eyes until he disappeared into the crowd of others. His eyes softened as he looked at my tear-stained face.
"Love, why are you crying?" he asked softly, wiping away my tears.
"Because you don't love me at all!" he sighed, hugging me tighter and kissing my head tenderly.
"Of course I love you." he whispered timidly into my hair.
"You do?" I moved away from him, placing my hands on his chest so that I could hold onto his body the whole time while looking into his eyes.
"It's impossible not to, love. Can we go home now?"
"No. Say it again."
"What?"
"That you love me."
"Y/N. You're drunk, just come with me and…" I cut him off by catching his stupid, beautiful lips in a kiss.
At first, he stayed there, shocked, not even making the slightest move. I got a little irritated after a while, so I cupped his face in my hands and pulled him closer, biting his lower lip until it bled. I moaned in a kiss, as I could feel his sweet, addictive blood on my tongue. Without knowing why, I felt "the alcohol mist" in which I found myself begin to slowly leave my body. In the next moment, that annoying man finally started to respond to my affection. His arms were all around me, reaching into every part of my body.
In an attempt to regain control, his lips began chasing mine. We fought with each other, giving all our hidden passion, anger, and frustration into that kiss. But it still wasn't enough for me. And he knew this.
"Don't be such an asshole and stop teasing." I groaned, breaking away from him for a moment.
"Never." he whispered against my lips, skillfully avoiding mine.
"For the love of God! Kiss me right or…" I moaned as he interrupted my threat by biting into the sensitive skin of my neck.
He was drinking from me.
Klaus. Fucking. Mikaelson. Was drinking from me.
And it felt amazing.
I gasped, pulling his hair with one hand and grabbing his muscular shoulder with the other. After a few minutes, he pulled away from my neck and kissed me again, this time complying with my request. During our demanding kiss, I felt a trickle of blood running down my neck to my chest. The wound closed in a matter of seconds.
I summoned my magic to teleport us to his room. More specifically, his bed. I started to rip off his shirt so as not to interrupt our kissing session. But hybrid has other plans.
He pulled away from my bruised, tingling lips and grabbed my hands just as I was about to get to the waistband of his pants.
"We need to stop, love."
"Why? I thought you wanted me."
"I do."
"Then shut up and kiss me."
"No. We can't. Not like that." he sighed as I started to bite and make hickeys on his neck. He grabbed my hair, pulling me closer.
"Don't act like you didn't dream of it. Like you don't wanna feel my hot, naked body on yours. Like you don't wanna drink from me while fucking me and leaving marks on all of me to make it clear to everyone that I'm yours." I whispered against the skin of his neck.
"Y/N. Stop." he growled, pushing me away from him when he felt my hand dangerously close to his pants' fly.
"Why? Give me one good reason why I shouldn't finally get this damn feeling out of our system!"
"That's not how it works and you well know that."
"God! Why do you always have to make things so hard for me?!" I started gathering my things, intending to leave the refusing-me hybrid.
"Where are you going?!"
"To Tom! Maybe he will be a man and fuck me, if you don't want." I found myself instantly in his strong embrace. He was breathing rapidly, his pupils so dilated that his blue irises were almost impossible to see. He desired me. If he wanted me too, then why didn't he use his chance?
"Be careful what you wish for, love."
"Let me go. I wasted enough time for you." I groaned as I tried to break free from his grip.
"You're not going anywhere."
"Why?" I asked, lifting my head in challenge.
"Because you're MINE. Mine to touch, mine to kiss, mine to fucked from your mind every single thing that isn't me. We belong to each other. And you hate it. So much so that you can't accept the feelings that are between us. This is why you gonna go back to my bed and sleep by my side so I can make sure you're not going to do something incredible stupid tonight."
"Don't act like a protective boyfirend, if you don't care about me." I choked out, taking advantage of the fact that he doesn't look me in the eye and instead places small kisses on my face.
"You stupid woman, don't you see how much I've already done for you just to keep you safe and happy?"
"You wanna make me happy? You wanna satisfy me? You wanna make sure I'm only yours? Then shut up and finally let it happen." I kissed him, pushing him on his back, so I could sit on him.
I started to strip myself, looking straight at him. His chest rose and fell at the speed of light, black pupils completely replacing his blue irises. I take a moment to appreciate his tattoo and kiss every flying bird.
"Lie that you love me." he said, after turning us so I was under him.
"It wouldn't be a lie." I thought as he kissed his way to my underwear.
"I know it's part of your game. Just... pretend for a moment you really feel something for me Y/N."
"It's not a game anymore. And since our first meeting, I have felt for you... everything."
"You win." he said, kissing me with all of his desire for me, and trying to get any response out of me.
"You win.'" I thought, letting myself get lost in the feeling of his skin on mine. "And I'm fucking terrified of it."
~•♤♤♤•~
Consciousness begins to slowly return to my battered, relaxed body. I sighed, snuggling into something warm and cozy beneath me. I put my head in a more comfortable position and took a breath of the amazing perfume.
Klaus' perfume.
I froze in place, afraid to make any move. After a few minutes, I finally decided to hesitantly open my eyes and lift my head slightly.
My fucking God.
I slept with Klaus Mikaelson.
With my brain overheating from the new information, I had the opportunity to take a closer look at the unconscious hybrid. He looked so... innocent when he slept. And carefree, even blissfully, judging by his gentle smile, which I could see despite the darkness in the room.
Tumblr media
The disheveled hair on his head only made him even hotter. It was also helped by the fact that I was probably the perpetrator of his messy look.
I tried to slowly put myself out of his arms to get the phone, but Klaus instantly held me closer when he felt from his sleep my littlest move. I carefully placed my head back on his chest. I let myself hear his beating heart and smell his addictive perfume for the moment.
Curiously, I looked around his room, enjoying as much as I could of what little peace I had left before my partner woke up. For a moment, I could imagine that Klaus was my boyfriend, we led a dull, safe life together devoid of anything supernatural. Hope lives with Hayley for a week, with us for the second, his family comes over once a month for dinner together. And above all, no one wants to kill us, we have no enemies from whom we must defend our loved ones. Maybe we'd even get married and have children of our own?
Married.
Wedding.
"OH MY GOD! Klaus! Hey. Nik. We have to get up, or we'll be late for the wedding! Oh, come on! You can't sleep that hard! Niklaus!" I screamed. I tried to pull his arm to wake him up, but his eyes were still closed. "If you don't wake up, I'll smear your room with all those expensive paints you have."
"Shh, five more minutes, love." he mumbled, turning on his side and pinning me to his bed with his arm. He pulled me closer, burying his nose in my hair.
"Katherine is going to kill me if we miss her wedding." I said in panic, unknowingly brushing his hair with my fingers.
"I won't let her do this." he tightened his grip on me, still in his semi-conscious state. "You might as well not mention her name in my bed."
"Klaus, I'm serious. Move. We have to get together."
"Vile woman, have you no pity on me?"
"Not even a little. Now get off me, you're heavy." I moaned under him, trying to move his body.
"I have a better idea of how to spend the day than being at my brother's wedding with the devil. I think you'll like it too. Last night, you did. Very much, considering the moans of my name coming out of your beautiful, alluring mouth."
"Yeah… talking about last night. It doesn't change anything, right? I mean… we're… we not…"
I stopped as he placed his head close to mine so he could lick up the dried blood from my neck. This man would be my death.
"Penny for your TRUE toughts?" he whispered against my neck, pulling away from it to look into my eyes.
"I just..."
"Yhm?" he leaned closer to my lips, but before he could kiss me, I pushed him off me and off the bed, sending him crashing to the floor. I took the opportunity to wrap myself in his duvet, running into the hybrid's bathroom before he recovered from my unexpected move.
"Dress up. We have to be there in 10 minutes. Don't forget the wedding rings!" I screamed, knowing full well that he would hear me through the closed door even if I was whispering. I listened for a moment, standing perfectly still, until I heard his grumpy mumbling and footsteps walking away.
With a sigh, I leaned against the door, sliding myself down to the floor. Memories of last night started to slowly come back to my mind, including his half-drunk "I love you."
What the hell have I done?
Pairings: vampire!Reader x Heretic!Kai; ex-boyfriend!ElijahMikaelson x Reader; Damon x Elena; Klaus x Caroline
For the purposes of this story, Klaus and Caroline are a couple living together in Mystic Falls. Kol Mikaelson is still alive, but Finn is not.
This IS a reader insert fic; I just don’t like writing with Y/N in the place of names. Use Rosalie/Rose as a placeholder for Y/N and Wilson for L/N
Requested: No
Word Count: 5,562
Warnings/Callouts: Mentions of breakups/heartbreak, minor angst/darker emotions, scattered mature language, fake-relationship trope, best-friends-to-lovers trope, smut (18+ readers only!), soft!Dom!Kai, Daddy kink, blood sharing, unprotected sex (be responsible and safe!)
I got the idea for this piece while re-reading "I'll Wait." It is technically a sequel but will still be easy to follow/read as a oneshot if you haven't read that one.
Description: What do you do get when you put a bunch of vampires together in a room with a lot of food in November? You get a Mystic Falls Thanksgiving. Be wary of Original exes crashing the party...
Kai’s POV:
The alarm buzzed, and I turned over to shut it off. I’d already been awake for quite some time. The morning sunlight danced on the ceiling as I listened to the sound of Rosalie’s even breathing in her room down the hall. Five months ago, Rosalie drank herself numb and passed out in the Mystic Grill. I brought her to my apartment, and we’d been living together ever since. Her old apartment was one she’d shared with Elijah, and it was too painful for her to live there again. I, out of the goodness of my heart (or, more accurately, my own selfish desires), let her move in with me.
Life was a lot easier now; there were no vengeful siblings, no new villains knocking down our doors. For once, life in Mystic Falls was… normal. Shocker, I know.
What exactly defines normal in a town where every second person you walk by is a supernatural being? Normal is waking up in the morning and not anticipating something horrible will happen. It’s when things are calm, and you can trust the people around you. Strange how normal is the most abnormal for someone like me.
My feet touched the cool wooden planks, and half the blanket followed me up. With a quick snap, the bed was made. Coffee was brewing, and bread was toasting. This was the rhythm we had fallen into. Whoever was awake first took care of breakfast, and the other managed the cleanup after.
I didn’t bother throwing a shirt on. Being roommates came with its unique forms of intimacy, though not in the way I would’ve wanted. Nevertheless, I’d promised myself I’d wait. I’ll wait for her until she’s no longer hurting – when she’s ready to accept how I feel.
Rosalie’s POV:
“Rosalie, I have to leave you,” Elijah spoke solemnly. He had rarely loved in all the centuries he’d been alive, and it was even rarer the love was returned. Unfortunately, something always trumped the pursuit of love: his honor and his family.
If anything in this dream came back in perfect detail, it was the wave of emotions I felt. My mind replayed them night after night. First came the confusion and denial. “What does that mean?” Elijah had answered me, but even now, I don’t remember his words. My ears refused the intake of all sound. The heartbreak had taken over. “We… I am leaving you.” It couldn’t be true. He was my everything. He was my first. He swore he’d never leave me, not for the rest of our immortal lives.
Without warning, something in the scene shifted. Suddenly, it wasn’t Elijah turning my heart to dust. It was Malachai. Within me, I felt a snap. My knees gave out, and I stumbled to the ground just as I had with Elijah. The stream of tears down my cheeks was new.
I had not sobbed this way when Elijah left me. This was a new pain entirely. “Kai, please…” He looked down upon my curled figure on the ground, completely silent. When the hot tears blurred my vision, I could just barely see him walking away, leaving me even more broken than I already was.
When the dream escaped me and consciousness came back, I didn’t want to open my eyes. Though I was awake, my mind was plagued with jarring images of Kai leaving me instead of Elijah. Somehow, though I was only his friend, I believed losing Malachai would hurt so much more.
Shoving my comforter aside, I dragged myself to the bathroom. The lightbulbs flickered on, and I stared at my exhausted expression. When Elijah left me, I felt like I’d been discarded. There was no other word for it. Someone who promised to never walk away left for a reason as flimsy as needing to protect his sister – a thousand-year-old vampire perfectly capable of protecting herself. Klaus and Kol didn’t run off to Rebekah’s side, so Elijah volunteered.
The worst part was the "honorable man" card he got to play. How are you supposed to fault someone for leaving to protect their family? It was all so frustrating. From the kitchen, I heard the coffee maker chime and the bread pop out, a signal that my little pity party needed to end. Gathering up some cold water from the running faucet, I splashed it against my face in the vain hope of getting some color back.
When I walked in, Kai was reaching up to grab plates and mugs. Turning around, he gave me a quick smile in morning greeting. I had to return it, of course. During all this time, Malachai was the one that kept me grounded. He’d been so patient – goofy when I needed a laugh and silent when I needed someone to listen. He was the perfect companion. If he was tired of me, it didn’t show.
Still silent, he handed me my plate, bringing his own over to the couch. I plopped down beside Kai, glancing at him from the corner of my eye. A random Netflix show began playing in the background as we ate. Whether he knew it or not, Malachai brought me a great deal of peace.
I looked at him once more, my heart throbbing painfully as it reminded me of the horrid dream. This time, Kai’s eyes met my own with an unspoken question shining in them. He raised a brow slightly, and I shook my head, attempting to smile. He seemed unconvinced, but he didn’t pry.
Thank god for that. If he had, I would have lied.
Kai's POV, later that afternoon:
“Rosalie, hurry up! According to the manically detailed itinerary Caroline gave us, we were supposed to be at the Mikaelson’s place twenty minutes ago.” Even as I spoke, I pulled the caramel apple pie out of the oven, fanning it to get it to cool some. The whole apartment smelled wonderful, like an autumn day come to life. I closed my eyes, enjoying the scent of apples, cinnamon, and toasted sugar.
When they opened, I met with the sight of Rose slipping into her coat. I couldn’t fight my smirk when I saw her outfit. Without planning it, we were completely coordinated: deep green sweaters, dark wash jeans, and long, flowing black coats. I saw the realization in her eyes and adored the sound of her resulting laugh. “Are you trying to copy me, Malachai?” Letting out an exaggerated sigh, I grinned at her. “Me? I’ve been ready to leave for thirty minutes. If anything, you’re trying to copy my style.”
Wrapping up the pie, I grabbed the car keys, spinning them around my finger. “Don’t worry, though. I pull it off much better than you.” Rosalie rolled her eyes, giving me a playful shove. “Let’s go before Caroline decides to murder us on arrival.”
~
The engine hummed to a stop. The sun had already set, bathing the surrounding land in darkness. When the headlights switched off, Rosalie and I shared a look. I wanted to reach out and touch her silken hair, to let her know she wasn’t alone. I knew tonight would be difficult for her – spending time with Mikaelsons wasn’t her favorite, not with all the memories it brought back –and Rose needed to understand I was there for her. “You can do this. I’m right beside you.” Without giving me any words in response, she reached for my hand and gave it a gentle squeeze of gratitude.
“Let’s go.” We walked to the front door, the dessert in my hands. Rosalie opened the door, thoughtfully left unlocked by the hosts, taking the pie from my hands. Caroline stormed to the foyer, partially receiving her guests as the hostess and also ready to rip us both a new one for messing up her schedule. “Before you say anything Care, you and the house both look lovely.”
Rose gave Caroline a heart-stopping smile and annoyed as she was, her friend had to smile in return. “Alright, alright, just come in.” I helped Rosalie out of her coat, hanging it up on the golden coat hooks before taking care of my own. Everything in this house looked like it was antique and ridiculously expensive. Our matching outfits didn’t escape Caroline’s attention, but she was typing something. Rose’s phone buzzed with a text seconds later.
She read it and froze in her tracks. Caroline took the dessert from her hands and went inside, perhaps to give her a moment. “Rosalie?” Still saying nothing, Rose handed me her phone, letting me read the message myself. ‘I should’ve told you earlier, but Elijah is here.’ I waved a hand, putting a silencing spell on the room so our conversation wouldn’t be heard by anyone else.
“Elijah, like – Elijah?” She nodded, visibly trembling. “Kai, I…” Biting my lip, I took hold of her shoulders, turning her so she’d face me. “What do you want to do? Do you want to get out of here? What do you need? What can I do?” Though she was upset, I couldn’t stop the barrage of questions I threw at her. Rose only shook her head again, which wasn’t enough of a response for me. Thankfully, she spoke without any more questions from me.
“No. We’re here to have a nice Thanksgiving with our friends. He’s here. I suppose it makes sense. He’s Klaus’s brother, after all. Of course, he’s here.” She rambled on. When she looked into my eyes, I could read how conflicted Rose was. My teeth gritted together, and as my hands left her shoulders, they clenched into fists at my side. Being civil with Elijah was going to be an uphill battle, and I hadn’t even set eyes on him yet.
Even so, my anger wasn’t important. Whatever Rosalie needed tonight she would get. “Just… don’t leave my side, Malachai.” I wrapped my arms around her, enveloping her. It didn’t matter if she was just relying on me as her best friend. This hug was for me, the one slip I was allowing myself after months of swallowing emotions back. “I won’t, I promise.”
Pressing a kiss to her forehead, I lifted the silencing spell. Rosalie whispered her quiet thanks, and I didn’t let go of her hand. We just didn’t realize someone was watching.
A man I hadn’t seen before, presumably Elijah, cleared his throat. By instinct, I expected Rose to let go of my hand, but she only held on tighter. Clearing her throat, she walked towards him with me not far behind. “Hello, Elijah.” I was impressed with how she sounded: perfectly composed and unbothered by the man she still had torturous dreams about. “Rosalie. You look good. Happy…”
The word trailed off of Elijah’s lips, hanging in the air between us. “And this is?” She released my hand then, though I could tell she missed the contact as soon as her fingers slipped from mine. Or at least I hoped so. I know I did.
“Malachai Parker, Heretic.” The hand that was in Rose’s met his in greeting. “Elijah Mikaelson.” In stark contrast to hers, Elijah’s hand was ice cold. “You must be her new boyfriend. Congratulations.” The words weren’t spoken with any hint of malice, just resignation. Was it so easy for him to let her go? If it were me and the girl I loved dated was with someone else, I’d be livid. “Elijah, Kai isn–”
“Kai is pleased to meet you.” I smiled at Elijah like he was an old friend, ignoring him once I put my arm around Rose. She caught on very quickly (that’s my girl!) and mirrored my action. One hand came around my waist while the other rested comfortably yet casually on my chest. “Thank you. We’ve been dating for, what, maybe three months now?”
She looked up at me for confirmation, her eyes shining. We’d spent too much time together recently; if the wordless conversations we had daily were any indication, we’d be able to pull this off very well. “Three months and five days.” Within the statement was a veiled truth; we’d been living together for five months and three days.
Elijah looked between us. We just kept looking at each other. For now, I had free reign to look at her the way I wanted, to touch her as if she were mine. I wouldn’t let that go for anything or anyone. I didn’t know what she was thinking, and I wished some part of her wanted me, too.
Presumably uncomfortable, Elijah cleared his throat. “Well, um… it was nice to meet you, Malachai. I think I should take my leave. Niklaus, Kol… I’m heading back to New Orleans tonight.” His brothers rushed into the room, filled with questions. We simply stood and watched the show. With one last glance, Elijah left, and Kol trailed behind him. “Elijah! Sorry, brother. Thanks for the invitation.”
Klaus raised an eyebrow at us, comprehension gleaming in his expression. “And then there were six.” With great reluctance, I let Rosalie go. The act was up.
“Rosalie Wilson!” Caroline’s high-pitched voice echoed through the large foyer. Elena leaned against the doorframe leading to the dining room, also looking equally upset. “You and Kai have been dating for three months and you didn’t tell me?!”
Then again, maybe not.
Rosalie’s POV:
Oh boy. Caroline was pissed. Swallowing nervously, I attempted a cool smile. Linking my arm with Kai’s – who thankfully continued the show with me – I responded, “I know, Care. It’s just that… after my breakup with Elijah, I wanted to take things slowly and just be careful. After being with Kai day in and day out, I knew I wanted to be with him. I didn’t want to risk anything by moving too quickly.” My monologue had come to a close, and Kai finished the script. “We were planning on telling you all tonight anyhow. It just happened to come out in a… not-so-fun way.” Everyone stared at us, all with varying degrees of interest.
Damon was swirling his bourbon around in an ornate glass; he was all set and didn’t care much about anyone except Elena. Elena seemed to have heard and understood where I was coming from. Klaus was playing with Caroline’s hair as he hugged her from behind, perhaps trying to quell her distress. And Malachai…
Kai was staring at me with this pure, unbridled love in his eyes. I thought it would hurt to play the role of a happy girlfriend. In that moment, I found myself believing that if I was with Kai, I wouldn't be hurt again. I had the same thought months ago when I was deeply mourning my breakup. Even then, I’d thought about being with him. For now, even though it was make-believe, I’d cherish it.
“So!” Kai’s voice bounced off the walls. “I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m starving.”
~
Dinner was wonderful. Caroline was always the perfect hostess, and the food was wonderful. Given that two of the guests had disappeared, there was plenty to go around. Garlic and rosemary mashed potatoes, a gorgeous roast turkey, savory apple and sausage stuffing, orange cranberry sauce, cornbread… we’d all be eating leftovers for a month.
Malachai was even more caring than usual now that he was playing the role of my boyfriend. He made sure I didn’t have to reach for anything I wanted, refilled my water whenever he did his own, and kept some form of physical contact with me sporadically. The only thing missing from this equation was flirting, but this was better. It felt… real. Grounded. As easy as breathing.
Before we played a game or two, I’d excused myself to take a breather. This whole day had been a rollercoaster. With my scarring dream to Elijah showing up to this drama Kai and I were putting on, it had been overwhelming. I leaned against the shut bathroom door, just taking a few deep breaths.
My phone chimed a special tone that rang only when Kai texted me. “Don’t take so long, darling ;)”
My eyes looked upwards from my phone screen to the mirror in front of me. The expression on my face was one I never imagined I’d feel again. It was true, unadulterated joy. For the first time in what seemed like an eternity, my smile reached my eyes. Only Kai could make me feel this way.
Kai's POV:
I slipped my phone back into my pocket, pleased with my playful flirtation. I’d wanted this for a long time; I was going to milk it for all it was worth. Klaus handed me a glass of this warm spiced rum, which I graciously accepted. At least it wasn’t Damon’s bourbon again. Bourbon wasn’t my thing. I was secure enough in my masculinity.
I lounged on the couch, my feet propped up on the glass table. One wince from Caroline, and I straightened up. Rose came back then, and I took a seat on the floor where Elena was setting up Settlers of Catan. She sat down next to me, leaning against my shoulder. The line between friends and something more had always been blurry in our relationship. This made things even more confusing. How much of this was the act? How much was what she truly wanted?
Ultimately, it didn’t matter. Hadn’t I already decided to make the most of this time? I wouldn’t let the idea of losing it ruin what I felt right now. Playing my role – and giving into what I wanted all along – I hugged Rosalie closer to me, resting my head against hers. I handed her the glass of spiced rum, encouraging her to try it. She took a sip, humming thoughtfully. I knew she didn’t truly like rum, but she seemed to like this. Taking full advantage of the opportunity, I kissed her cheek softly. I heard her heartbeat hastened in response; was it from anxiety or excitement?
We played the game with our friends, laughing and enjoying the party. When it became apparent the only possible winners would be Caroline or Elena, we joined their boyfriends in cheering them on. My hand clasped Rosalie’s under the coffee table, linking our fingers together. No one saw our hands there. This was just for us. The night wore on. The more I got to live out my true desire, the more I feared I wouldn’t be able to let it go. I was selfish that way. What would happen when the party’s over?
Rosalie's POV:
It was midnight before we realized it. A full moon climbed up the night sky, visiting its starry friends in the sky. We bid our friends goodnight and headed home. As Kai slipped into the driver’s seat, turning the engine on, I realized I suddenly didn’t know what to say or do.
Malachai seemed to not have any ideas either, and we drove to our apartment in absolute silence. Even our deep understanding of each other wouldn’t help here, not when we were trying to uncover something we didn’t have a name for.
The drive had somehow been both unbearably long and unbelievably quick at the same time. We walked inside side by side, my ears picking up even the clink of the lock as it opened. “So, um… you really saved me tonight. First with him, and then with Caroline.”
Kai grinned at me while taking off his shoes and hanging up our coats. Even in the low lighting of our home, I could tell it wasn’t the same. “I did, didn’t I? That’s what best friends are for.” I don’t know what fantasies my mind had begun spinning. Malachai was just saving my skin. We would tell them all it was an act later. That made sense, I suppose. “Best friends… right.”
 “Oh, screw this.” Within fractions of a second, Kai’s hands cupped my face. He looked at me almost severely, his eyes swirling with so many emotions at once. It was an unnavigable storm, and I was nearly lost in it. I would’ve been had he not crushed his lips against mine.
I didn’t freeze, nor was I all that surprised. This was Malachai, and I knew him as I knew myself. I’d wanted him for a long time, I just wouldn’t let myself admit it. Our lips meshed together, sliding between each other’s beautifully. His hands traveled from my face to my neck. Continuing down my sides, Kai finally reached his destination when his palms slipped into the back pockets of my jeans.
“Jump up onto me, baby.” He pulled away to give me his breathless command. I eagerly obliged, wrapping my legs around his waist. Claiming my lips once again, he carried me off to his room. I fell back onto his bed, and Kai followed suit, hovering over me. Raining kisses down my neck, Malachai elicited a moan from me, something that made him stop.
“Rosalie… tell me I’m not alone in craving you. Am I aching for you all alone? Tell me you want me, too.” His eyes were imploring, his voice so quiet it only reached me. I tenderly dragged my hand across his cheek, pressing a kiss to his jaw. “It’s not just you, Kai. I… I never realized how much I needed you. Not until tonight.”
That was all he needed to hear. Enveloping my lips with his once more, his left hand took hold of both my wrists, holding them up above my head. The other trailed down my torso, landing on my waist and sneaking under my sweater. His warmth, his scent, and even the smallest of sounds he made were perfection. When his fingers found the button of my jeans, I froze up under him. Our passionate embrace came to a skidding stop.
“What is it? Did I go too far? I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean–” He rambled with concern, and I cut him off with a soft kiss. “No, it’s not you. You’re perfect. It’s me…” The last person I was with – the only person I’d been with – was Elijah. When he left me, he shattered some hidden part of my soul. If Malachai and I were to cross this line, there would be no turning back. I’d need him forever, and if that wasn’t what he desired, then he shouldn’t waste his time with me. “For me, this isn’t about right now.
“It’s about forever, which means something very different in our world. If that’s too much for you, or if that’s not what you want, I don’t think we should go there… not tonight.” Kai released my hands, and I was staring down at the bedspread. With an unanticipated, gentle gesture, he lifted my chin such that I looked into his eyes. His were certain, unwavering. There seemed to be no doubt at all in his mind as he spoke.
“I love you, Rosalie.” My breath caught in my throat, and I momentarily tensed up. The way I felt for him was consuming, stronger than anything I’d known before. But I’d been hurt at this same crossroads, and I didn’t know if I could travel down that path just yet.
“You don’t have to say it back. Just listen to me.” Malachai’s hand shifted from my chin, now resting against my cheek. I nuzzled into it instinctively, desperate for his warmth and closeness.
“I love you. I’ve loved you for some time now. Loving someone… well, it was never something that I thought could happen to me. But you…” Kai began playing with my hair, moving us so that I was sitting in his lap. I rested my head on his shoulder as he spoke, listening intently. “You brought so much into my life. You are my best friend, and I know you as well as I know myself.
“You don’t have to say it back. If you want me to, I’ll wait for as long as you need.” He squeezed me in his embrace, resting his head against mine. “I won’t cross any boundaries until you take them down.”
Lifting Kai’s hand from my waist, I gingerly opened his palm. With a deliberate softness, I pressed my lips to each of his fingertips. He had to know how much I cared about him, even if I couldn’t put it into words as he had.
Malachai understood me instantly, and when I looked up at him, his kiss stole the rest of my thoughts. Turning in his lap, I wrapped myself around him. My fingers snaked upwards, intertwining with the hair at the base of his neck. Kai only tugged me closer until every inch of me melded with him.
“Mm… Rose…” I couldn’t pull away, even as he tried to speak. “Rosalie…” Whimpering ever so slightly, I obliged and moved away just an inch. “Are you sure you want this tonight? I need you to be certain, princess. You need to be prepared to be mine, from now until forever.” I nodded, unable to find my voice, but that didn’t seem to be enough. “I need your words, Rose. Tell me if you want this. If not, I’ll stop, I promise.”
“I want you, Malachai. Please…” He smiled, and it warmed my heart. The next kiss he pressed to my lips was so very tender, as if he were touching something dearly precious to him. Perhaps he was.
Kai's POV:
I held Rosalie delicately, shifting us so she lay beneath me once more. I was afraid of frightening her, making her run if I made too many of my needs known too soon; with how long I’d desired for this, some were bound to slip through despite my best intentions. I moved away from her lips, finding the sensitive skin of her neck instead. Trailing my mouth across her collarbone, I nipped at it playfully, loving the little gasp I got from her in response.
One hand pulled the sleeve of her sweater off of her shoulder, and I nestled into the crook there, sucking on her flesh and leaving my mark there. A deep, primal possessiveness woke within me when Rosalie’s hands found my body. She wrapped her arms around me, clutching me close to her. “I’m here, baby. I’m not going anywhere.”
Moving ever so slowly, I stripped her clothes from her. With every inch exposed, I peppered more kisses onto her skin, hoping to find the light within her and make it mine. When Rose lay bare beneath me, it took immeasurable control to keep things gentle. There would be more time for other explorations.
With the way my arms enveloped her, Rose couldn’t move much. When she asked to touch me, to feel me as I felt her, how could I possibly say no? With frenzied hands, she undressed me. Her cool skin was flush against my own, getting hotter with every passing second. My erection pressed against her trembling upper thigh, eliciting a desperate groan from us both.
There was much I ached to do before I claimed her for the first time. Looking into her eyes, I let my fingers slide down her stomach to her sex. That one touch made me lose to the lust I was trying so hard to hold back. There was a narcotic power in her gaze. Whether she knew it or not, I was at her mercy and would be for as long as she wanted me.
I sank a finger inside her, laying kisses down her body. Pumping it in and out steadily, I studied her reactions. She was exquisite. Her eyes were shut tightly, her fingers clasping at my shoulders as my tongue flicked against her hard nipples. My cold rings rubbed against her outer folds with every thrust of my fingers, and the shudder she gave was delicious.
When my lips finally met my fingers to pleasure her, Rose bucked forward off the bed. Pinned down by my firm grip, there was nowhere for her to escape the ecstasy I had in store for her. My fingers pushed deeper into her with each penetration, curling upwards to find her pleasure center inside her. She screamed for me, and I fucking loved it. “That’s it, baby girl. Just let go. Let me make you feel good.” My tongue joined in, sloppily consuming her liquid desire. I’d yearned to worship her body this way for so long, and I wouldn’t be done for a long time. Her walls clenched around my fingers, her legs splayed over my shoulders. “Are you going to cum for me, Rosalie? Are you going to cum for me like a good girl?”
Her reply came mixed with breathless moans and eager whimpers. “Yes, Daddy… I’m so close, please don’t stop!” Daddy? Her words pulled a growl from my chest, and I was invigorated. Pulling away, I gave her the command to cum for me, my thumb rubbing her clit while my fingers didn’t let up their attack. “Cum for Daddy, princess. Show Daddy how good he makes you feel.”
The dam of her pleasure exploded, and she unraveled under me. It was so fucking beautiful, and it was all mine. She was all mine. The sight of her made me desperate to quench my own thirst, and before her first orgasm could even subside, my throbbing cock replaced my fingers, my lips silencing her sounds.
Rosalie's POV:
Stars clouded my eyes. The only thing on my mind was Malachai. It took me over completely. I was his, and I didn’t want it any other way. Our tongues danced together when our kiss grew more torrid, our bodies rocking together and the bed along with us. He pulled away, staring down at me. One strong arm stabilized his body on the headboard, his muscles tensing with effort; his other hand wrapped around my throat, holding me down.
One orgasm melted into the second, making me writhe under him. “Ohhh, fuck!” His heated gaze bore into me as I came undone once more. My eyelids shut tightly in rapture, but that earned another growl from him. “Keep your eyes on me, Rosalie. I want to watch you cum for me over…” His hips slammed forward, making my breath halt in my chest. “Over…” Driving into me, Daddy stole all ounces of my sanity. "And over again. We’re not done until you’ve cum so many times you can’t think.”
“Mmgghh, Daddy! I’ve already – ahh! – done that!” My body quivered, overwhelmed with the sensations still coursing through me. My aching sex clamped around him as he continued pounding into me. “One more, baby girl. Can you give Daddy one more orgasm? Please?” Kai almost begged, and it was the hottest thing I’d ever heard.
Digging my teeth into my lower lip, I nodded. Kai leaned down to kiss my neck, whispering a soft, “Thank you, princess” in my ear. With the way he sped up, I could feel he was reaching his climax. Both our labored breathing and groans melted into the sound of our skin slapping together. “Bite me, love. Drink from Daddy.”
With an eager moan, I sank my teeth into his neck, loving the bite of him down the same. We drank from each other, completely connected by mind, body, and soul. Malachai reached the zenith of his pleasure, bringing me tumbling down another wave of bliss along with him. Our lustful sounds of orgasm were drowned in each other’s necks as we drank our fill.
When the sensations subsided, our lips met with a sense of completion and exhaustion. The lingering essence of each other remained in our mouths, making the kiss all the more fulfilling. When Kai slid out of me, I almost complained. With a kiss to my forehead, he summoned a washcloth, wiping away our sweat, blood, and love juices.
“How are you feeling, baby? I tried to go slow at first, but I don’t think I was all that successful.” Once cleaned up, Kai wrapped himself around me, spooning my smaller body with his larger one. I couldn’t see his eyes this way, but I could feel his heartbeat thumping against my back. It was soothing. “I’m perfect, Malachai. Thank you for tonight.” Earlier, I’d mentioned how he’d saved me tonight by pretending to be my boyfriend. I hadn’t realized it, but he’d saved me in many other ways. He saved my heart, got it back, and put it together after someone else crushed it. I would always be grateful to him for that.
Unable to stop himself, Kai pressed soft kisses to my chin and neck, holding me even closer. “Anytime.” He chuckled about something, and I was just about to inquire when he said, “That’s what boyfriends are for.” Laughing at the clever echo of his earlier words, I turned to face him. My hand rested on his cheek, his blue eyes shining in the dim lighting. My thumb caressed his skin, giving him a small fraction of the love and affection he deserved.
“Malachai Parker, I hope you know how perfect you are.” He grinned, kissing my nose. “Am I? Be sure to tell me that, at least three times a day.” Taking one of his hands, I kissed each of his fingertips once more, cherishing every part of him. “You are, and I love you.”
Hi, thank you so much for your posts. Based on your previous post about yandere Mikaelsons I feel there is a high chance of them actually break their obsession. Then how will they react if they do? Reader is not just broken in a sense of being completely compliant, but they also lost interest and hope in life as well, and will not do anything unless they are given instructions to do so.
Type: headcannon
Request: Yes
Summary: What it’s like for each of the Mikaelson brothers darlings if they break their obsession.
Warnings: death, yandere themes, dark themes, generally a bit sad, etc
This is kind of like a part two to this headcannon. This headcannon will reference points made then.
Here’s a link.
Tumblr media
In the likely hood that they do break their obsession, it’s not going to be good.
If you thought being their darling was bad, being their ex-darling could be worse.
Each brother reacts differently.
Tumblr media
Klaus Mikaelson
Maybe Klaus has found someone new. A new obsession.
It leads to him to moving you out and moving them in.
Depending on how good you’ve been will depend on how gradual the process is.
Or his current emotional state.
He might rip the band aid off and leave you alone with a new apartment.
But it’s not his nature to just leave things alone.
In some way he’ll still be connected to you.
Like how he is with Rebekah.
You can have your own life but he’ll come and go as he pleases. He doesn’t allow you to have any sort of romantic relationship. The thought of you being happy without him, even if you aren’t his darling, leaves a bitter taste in his mouth.
His treatment both during your relationship and after leads you to feeling completely isolated
You could live in the busiest town in the world. But you know that forming connections to anyone will leads to Klaus taking it away.
The only person you can talk to is once again him. It doesn’t matter whether you’re his darling or not.
You get to live; but it’s not much of a life.
Tumblr media
Elijah Mikaelson
Elijah is always so kind to everyone. It’s no surprise someone new caught his eye. They take his attention away from you of course.
You don’t notice it until his behaviour starts to change.
Usually he does everything for you, his dominance being a key part of your relationship. Yet slowly that starts to change.
He asks you to cook your own meals, bathe yourself, feed yourself, dress yourself. Over the course of time you have to start to grow more independent.
Something which you thought would be a good thing.
Yet after being in Elijah’s hold for so long, it creates a sense of anxiety within you.
He’s made you so sure that you’re incompetent, doing anything yourself feels wrong.
Like Klaus, Elijah has the common decency to set you up with a house and all the necessities to live.
All he asks is that you don’t contact him again.
He completely severs ties, as to not affect his new obsession.
He’s gone from being your only source of comfort, to a complete stranger.
You survive of course. And after a long period of time you can final start to heal and become yourself.
Tumblr media
Kol Mikaelson
Kol was a cruel yandere. Extremely sadistic and manipulative.
Yet he was impulsive.
He’s still a child at heart and doesn’t think things through.
So when he misjudged his strength one day, it doesn’t end well for you.
He’d grown bored anyway. You didn’t do much. You cried and begged and sometimes just sat and stared at walls.
He expects you to get up after a while.
But he realises you won’t be waking up, ever
At first he’s angry, angry at you for dying.
Then he’s angry at himself, for not feeding you his blood.
Then he’s sad. Then he’s angry. Then his feelings continue to fluctuate like an emotional yo-yo.
It takes him a while to get over you. A few murder sprees, some one night stands and lots of alcohol.
But he does, eventually.
Tumblr media
Finn Mikaelson
Finn hates his vampire nature. He hates the fact that he’s stuck eternally as a murderous monster.
But you help him to break those thoughts.
When he lives with you, pretending he’s back in his time, back to a more primitive life, everything disappears.
As cruel as it sounds, it’s you who breaks his obsession. Your humanness reminds him of what he is.
It’s when he starts to see noticeable signs of ageing that he’s broken out of his false reality and realised of what he’s done.
Instead of facing it, he bolts.
He leaves you in the cave. Alone.
With no way to get down as a human, your death certificate has been signed.
He feels bad for his actions. For taking your life away from you.
He adds it to the ever growing pile of reasons he loathes himself.
A/N: I don’t know why the images are blocked. It won’t be an issue next time.
Author's Notes: New project, who dis?? Recently fandom-switched to Vampire Diaries/Originals & was inspired to write a little piece about two OCs interacting at the Mystic Grill.
From there on, the plot took hold of my soul, and now I'm writing a fic. Again. Lol.
Pairing: Yandere!Elijah & Klaus Mikaelson x Fem!Reader (eventually)
Summary: Vincent Webb returns to Mystic Falls, Virginia after many years of avoiding his hometown. He decides to catch up with an old flame at the Grill only to be interrupted by his high school arch-nemesis: Richard Lockwood. How awkward for Vince! 🤣
Chapter One: The Prodigal Son
[October 1st, 1991
Mystic Falls, Virginia]
It hadn't changed. Not one bit. More than 5 years had passed without Vincent Webb, yet Mystic Falls was the same shit hole as it'd been on the day he'd skipped town. 'Like a mosquito caught in amber', he mused to himself, a grimace on his face, 'Or something else that refuses to change despite the march of time'. God was not without his keen sense of irony when he made this place, it seemed, and Vincent was glad that he had left right after graduating from MFHS. Glad that he'd gotten out of Virginia to explore the world. Away from any monster that went bump in the night...
But now, fate had brought him back to Mystic Falls.
The first thing Vincent did when he'd crossed the town line was visit the cemetery where his father laid and took a piss on the old man's tombstone. The second thing he did (immediately afterward) was shoot off a text: 'Hey, you free tonight? Meet you at our usual spot, be there in 30 minutes,' to his ex-girlfriend, Grace. The only woman to have ever stolen his heart or gotten him to consider a future in driving a family minivan around. That's how he'd ended up here at the Grill, tucked away within its backmost lobby, nursing a scotch past twelve. Observing his high-school nemesis, Richard Lockwood, as he flirted shamelessly in front of Carol Lockwood with their young, pretty waitress two booths over. No, some things never changed in Mystic Falls.
Footsteps approached his table. A pair of heels judging from the sound of their clacking on the polished wood floor. His eyes flicked downward to spy an all-too-familiar toe ring that he'd once bought for the girl that he'd loved as a teenager. Grace had arrived. And with her arrival, the ache of nostalgia in his chest. Vincent took a gulp of his drink to steady his nerves as she slid into the seat opposite of him.
"You know," he said, tone casual, "I thought Rich was always gonna end up with that Forbes chick. Not Carol. Remember how annoying they were in sophomore year making out during gym? Blech!! But, I guess he still likes blondes. Carol, though? Awful."
Grace rolled her sapphire eyes, "It's been YEARS, Vince, and /this/ is what you wanna lead with??? Not: 'Gee golly, Grace! I'm sorry for disappearing on you when you needed me, let me clarify what happened the night I literally vanished without a trace so I can take the years of STRESS I caused you off your shoulders! Forgive me, I'm a stupid fucking piece of shit, Grace'-"
"Grace-"
His ex's voice rose above his own, "-Grace, I know I don't deserve your forgiveness or your understanding. I'm so, so, so, sooooo very lucky that you're even talking to me right now! Grace, I'm going to spend the rest of my life making it up to you, Grace-"
"Gracey-"
"-'Gracey', WHAT, Vincent?!"
Vincent looked pained when he answered her, regret etched in every wrinkle, and crease on his brow:
"You're right. I'm a piece of shit, Grace. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have left you the way I did back then. It's just...some family stuff happened after the accident. And I couldn't talk about it to anyone at the time. I didn't mean to hurt you. Honest truth, that wasn't my intention."
Deep, oceanic blues narrowed upon him. Grace stared at Vincent for a few breathless moments (skeptically, silently) as if attempting to bore a hole through his soul by sheer force of will.
"UGH, I can't stay mad at you!" she relented in a sudden huff, "I'm just glad you're alive. You have no clue how worried I was about you! We were all worried about you! There was a rumor that you'd died, Vince. That some kind of animal had gotten you out in the woods!"
A shadow fell over Vincent's face. He mumbled another apology to his ex, "Grace, I mean it. I'm sorry. I really truly am..."
"That's alright, Vince. It's water under the bridge now," she replied, grabbing the Grill's menu that lay on the table between them and browsing the selections, "Besides, you're going to buy me ALL the expensive booze I want tonight, anyways."
"Wait, I'm gonna WHAT??"
Grace snickered mischievously, then imitated his casual tone from before, "Payback, ya know? It's a thirsty bitch, Vince."
Tumblr media
When Vincent met Grace Baker, it was freshman year of high school, and he'd just gotten swirlied by Logan Fell. While he was drying his hair with a paper towel in the men's bathroom, Grace had wandered out of its corner stall, gripping a pint of (half-drunk) Jack Daniels. Wearing that same cheeky grin she was wearing now, Grace offered him some, mentioning that: 'nerds like them had to stick together'. Tonight, the two of them were completing an ancient circle. This time around, it was Vincent's turn to buy the drinks.
Grace made his wallet hurt. She chose every ale and IPA off the reserve menu, then moved onto taking shots. Vincent tried to enjoy the moment, knowing full well that he was going to regret it all tomorrow. One way or another.
Their table piled up quickly with empty glasses, cups, and pitchers. As it did, their conversation grew more nostalgic. Both of them blamed it on the quality of the liquor.
"They hired a better fucking bartender since I've been gone! Do you remember the shit that David used to make for us back in the day?"
"Oh yeah!! We called it, uhhhh, "Witch's Brew" or something like that, right? It tasted so nasty but man did it fuck us up! Jodie could NOT hold that stuff down, though. Remember when she puked all over Mrs. Bennett's rug after Prom Party at the Grill?? And then we had to clean it up before she got home?"
"How could I forget?! Hahaha! I'm still scrubbing burger chunks out of my memory to this day!"
"Gross."
Their conversation grew more sentimental. They blamed it on how long it had been since either of them talked...
"You know, you were the only one back then who I could ever really be myself around. You just got me somehow. It was like we were...connected or something. Oh my God, that sounds corny as all fuck now that I say it, hahaha!"
"No, no, no, noooo! Not corny. Not corny for even a minute. Grace, I felt the same way. I didn't have to pretend around you. I could just be myself..."
"Same! We had our own language."
"Pig Latin. We used to make Mr. Brown SO MAD when he couldn't read our notes to the class. He was such a nosey prick back then!"
"Haha, yeah!! Yeah, he fucking was!! Remember when you literally ate your detention slip in front of him and he nearly had an aneurysm?! The little vein in his forehead was popping out, hahaha!!"
"Is Mr. Brown still teaching?"
"Naaahhh. Fired for taking pictures of his female students."
"Ha! Called it. I knew that guy was a creep!"
Their conversation grew more dangerous. They'd both blame it on themselves (and on each other) in the morning. One of them would swear that it had never happened at all.
"Our first date: do you remember where you took me??"
"Oh man, putting me on the spot. Uuuuhh, it was Fell's Church. We went to Fell's Church because I thought I was being edgy and cool. But you. You, uhhh, you said-"
"-I said the place smelt like raw ass so we left. We went to Grove Hill afterward. To that antique Bed and Breakfast for coffee."
"Yeah! Oh jeeze, that wasn't my best moment. It was the first date I'd ever had. I didn't know what girls wanted..."
"Get out!! Really?!"
"Serious as daylight."
"Do you ever...regret it? Even just a tiny bit? Your first date being with me? I-I know how much you loved Mercy-"
"I would've married you. I would've married you right after graduation."
"Oh..."
"Things just got in the way. Please, understand I never wanted to-"
Grace flinched. The warmth and approachability she'd possessed only a moment ago evaporated, replaced by a mask of ice. A practiced smile that didn't quite reach her eyes curved across her red lips. She put down her drink (a little forcefully on the table), feigning indifference while she spoke. But it was obvious that she wasn't happy with his heart-felt confession one bit.
"Look, Vincent," Grace said, shrugging, "We're all grown up now. We've made our own choices. You don't have to justify yourself to me, okay? Really. You don't! It's been YEARS since high school. As much as I miss it, I've moved on from ruminating about what could've been. And this surprise visit has been great, but... I really just want to get this over with so we can go back to our own lives. I'm missing Movie Night with my kids."
It was Vincent's turn to flinch now. Suddenly, he felt old. Like somehow, life had passed him by in the span of a blink.
"K-kids? You have kids??" He croaked, "When did that happen? How many do you...?"
Grace laughed, "Very first year into college! How scandalous, right?? Aaaand I've got two; an older son and a daughter. Alexander and Dawn. Dawn just had her birthday a couple of days ago. It was Beauty and the Beast themed. She was dressed up as Belle. She's been in a "princess everything" phase ever since she watched Sleeping Beauty. My son, though? He just really likes playing Street Fighter."
"Who's the-"
Vincent's mouth seemed to have trouble forming the words despite his best efforts. He pressed on valiantly, though...
"-the, ya know? The uh, father? Is he...?"
Grace flattened instantly. She sighed, rubbing at her forehead as if she had a big headache, "Just tell me why you're here, Vince. Tell me why you'd come back to Mystic Falls after all these years?? You haven't said a word to me since graduation! No, since before the accident! And you decide to appear tonight? Out of the blue? Just...randomly for shits and giggles? No, no. What's really going on, Vin-"
Two voices sliced through Grace's question and stole the moment:
"It's Vincent Webb!!"
"My, my! It IS! And with Grace Baker too!"
Both Vincent and Grace cringed as soon as they heard the sound. Memories flooded back to their previous lives in high school. And the humiliation they'd suffered together at the hands of the ones who'd just interrupted them; Richard Lockwood and his (now) wife, Carol Lockwood. Grace stood up immediately to leave. Vincent tried his best to follow suit but was stopped when Rich sat down in the empty space next to him, blocking off his escape route and locking him into the booth until Rich decided otherwise. Carol did the same with Grace.
"Well, I'll be damned!" Rich exclaimed, flashing a toothy smile at Vincent, "Aren't you a blast from the past?! I haven't seen you around my town in YEARS! And Grace, lovely to see you as always. How are your little ones doing?? What about that rambunctious son of yours?"
Carol laughed and subtly displayed the wedding ring she wore as she did so, "Oh, it's just like high school again! Isn't it, Rich?"
"Indeed," Rich agreed all too readily, "except I'm not giving this ol' boy here a flushie, hahaha! No, I kid, though. This man took his licks like a man! Isn't that right, Vince?".
Grace and Vincent exchanged helpless, annoyed glances between each other...
It was going to be a long night.
Requested (?) by:
Now the headcanons:
⚜️ Klaus would give you physical affection even if you don't want it.
 ⚜️Even if you give a lot of physical affection yourself, you were inexperienced in receiving the affection.
⚜️All of your [old] relationships were more like words.
⚜️If Klaus wants to hug you from behind, your old instincts would come out.
⚜️In the best case, you just turn around quickly and get into a fighting position.
⚜️In the worst case, you also turn around but would manage to knock Klaus off his feet.
⚜️In either case, you would immediately apologize and blame your military training.
⚜️But what about the cuddles? Well you missed having someone to cuddle when you were in the war so you want a lot of cuddles.
⚜️And Klaus gives you lots of cuddles. You love to cuddle when he's lying on you.
⚜️Even if you wanted to, you weren't domestic. You have to experience something every day, but if it's shopping in a new supermarket.
⚜️ And there's Klaus again, your lifesaver. He doesn't want to live a 'normal' life either and would like to travel with you.
⚜️He wants to show you everything the earth has to offer.
⚜️You love him because you actually only "travelled" to go to war.
⚜️If they were somehow called up to be soldiers again, Klaus would do everything to prevent this.
⚜️Even if you can't live without war anymore, you thank him.
⚜️ Because your new war was now in New Orleans against the Mikaelson enemies.
⚜️Klaus would always be successful in beautifying you from [human] war.
⚜️ In addition to his great love, you would also be his best payart.
⚜️ Klaus would sometimes call you My Knight.
⚜️You would call him My King all the time.
⚜️ Everyone else called you King and Queen of New Orleans
⚜️You would not get married because it is not necessary for both of you.
⚜️ Klaus would be the gentlest person in the world in togetherness.
⚜️Even if it took a long time to see this.
⚜️Klaus gentle touches would make you cry.
⚜️You were more used to the hard, cold world, but everything was different with Klaus.
⚜️Even hugging becomes much easier for you after a while.
⚜️First you would have been annoyed by Klaus' constant hugging in every situation.
⚜️But at some point you liked it. You don't know why all of a sudden you want it.
⚜️Hugging you from behind is his favorite thing to do.
⚜️The first "I love you" from him and from you was at the same time.
⚜️Two years ago you came home from the war. The thing was you were supposed to be there for 1 week but your officer sent your group home early.
⚜️Your buddy was only 1 hour away from New Orleans and you ask him if he could drive you to New Orleans.
⚜️Arrived at the Mikealson estate you get out of the car.
⚜️Because actually Klaus would have picked you up but he wouldn't know that you finished earlier.
⚜️You want to surprise him, that's why you didn't write that you could go earlier.
⚜️You wore your "civilian" uniform and said goodbye to your comrades.
⚜️Where you would go to the door and lock your bowl out, you hear a cry.
⚜️You stay in front of the door and then you heard a voice.
⚜️Elijah ? Maybe Rebekah is crying over Marcel?
⚜️You opened the door quietly and heard the other voice crying.
⚜️ Klaus ?
⚜️ You quietly overhear the conversation.
⚜️Most of it was mumbling but you could understand that Klaus was upset why you had to go to war.
⚜️That he couldn't live to lose you.
⚜️That he loved you.....
⚜️Hearing this, you'd have to pull yourself together not to scream "I LOVE YOU TOO".
⚜️Suddenly Elijah saw you and grinned.
⚜️ "So brother you love [Y/N] ?"
⚜️" Yes I love [Y/N] "
⚜️"I love you too Klaus"
⚜️Klaus was so scared and hopped away.
⚜️But where he recognized it he hugged you and you both would have tears in your eyes.
⚜️He might not stop saying it after that day, but neither could you.
⚜️ Klaus would wear your "Dog Taps".
⚜️You always get confused where your "Dog Tapes" are.
⚜️"Klaus where are my dog tapes?"
⚜️"No plan" (Currently wearing your dog tapes)
⚜️ Klaus would be jealous of your comrades.
⚜️You have to take Klaus with you whenever you do something with your comrades.
⚜️He kisses passionately and sweetly and you rather passionately and roughly.
⚜️Klaus loves to kiss your neck.
⚜️As a human it would be something new for you but if you become a vampire it would also be a passion for you.
⚜️Klaus turned you into a vampire because he didn't want to be separated from you.
⚜️And you don't want it either.
⚜️The wrist and chest are also kissed again and again.
⚜️You and Klaus didn't want children.
⚜️Klaus always wanted to be lazy in the morning hours but you weren't because of your training.
⚜️Like, for example, when he wakes up in the morning you're already outside to start your 5 round of jogging.
⚜️But breakfast is always a must.
⚜️Because of the army you always stand up straight and Klaus likes to imitate this.
⚜️He won't let go of you at night.
⚜️He always cuddled with you and gave you kisses.
⚜️Especially when a war trauma is reflected in a nightmare.
⚜️But even if Klaus has nightmares because of his past, one doesn't let the other down.
⚜️ Always tell the others about the nightmare with hot chocolate and kisses.
⚜️This is how you would get to know each other's stories.
⚜️For example: How Mikeal mistreated Klaus or where you lost a comrade in the war.
⚜️But if it's not a nightmare, Klaus is the first to fall asleep because he feels so comfortable with you
⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜
