I’m so in love with these pictures! the day itself was an absolute mess—I didn’t even have time to do my hair—but it was an absolute dream at the same time. I’d marry this man a million times if I could!

Mason Wayne Sisk, Alabama inmate 335022, born 2004, incarceration intake September 2023 at age 19, sentenced to life

Murder

In September 2023, Mason Sisk, the north Alabama teenager who killed his adoptive parents and three of his siblings in 2019, was sentenced to life in state prison without parole.

Sisk, who was 14 at the time of the Sept. 2, 2019, slayings in Elkmont, shot and killed parents Mary Sisk, 35, father John Sisk, 38, and siblings Kane, 6, Rorrie, 4, and Colson, 6 months.

Sisk, 19, was convicted in April 2023 of four counts of capital murder.

Although he was charged with capital offenses, Sisk was ineligible for the death penalty because he was a minor at the time of the killings.

Charles Holladay, a witness for the defense, asked the judge to give Sisk a chance at rehabilitation.

“I don’t believe he did what he’s been convicted of doing,” Holladay said. “I don’t think he should be locked up at all.”

we got our wedding photos back !!! these are some of my very favorites

we had our ceremony in great smoky mountains national park—elkmont, specifically—so, instead of throwing rice or whatever, we had everyone ring tiny bells when we (literally) tied the knot and when we left the ceremony.

it was a wednesday at 2 in the afternoon. my sister officiated. I made the handfasting cord myself by sewing together and braiding vintage ribbons/trim that I found online, along with a custom cord that I ordered off etsy that said, "till death divide." I didn't have time to do my hair. we made 99% of the decorations. my dress was 2 sizes too big for me (but pinned to fit lmao). it was all a dream. I'd do it again a million times over and then some.
