I'm currently organizing all of my perfumes. I have a large collection and I'm not ashamed of it. Ever since I was young, my mom emphasized the importance of taking care of myself and looking presentable.

I've listed them below with pride flags for LGBT+ books and access symbols for disability, neurodivergence and mental illness rep 😊 and as always, feel free to ask me about any of the books on the list or search for my review of it on my blog!

#253: a palindrome is a word, phrase, time, number, whatever, that reads exactly the same when the order of characters is reversed. for example, thirty-one past one in the afternoon, ie 13:31, is palindromic. "racecar" is palindromic. the first words ever said by man was palindromic (when Adam introduced himself to Eve, he said "Madam in Wden, i'm Adam"). one of the most philosophical questions in the world is a palindrome (do geese see god?). the names Hannah, Ava, Anna, Eve, Bob and Otto are all palindromic, as is the former PM of Cambodia, Lon Nol, and a japanese manga writer, Nisio Isin.
Only four pokemon are palidromes though - eevee, girafarig, ho-oh, and alomomola. girafarig is actually intentionally palindromic though - the original design had the back end being identical to the front but with a colour swap.
back to the name thing:
"Dennis, Nell, Edna, Leon, Nedra, Anita, Rolf, Nora, Alice, Carol, Leo, Jane, Reed, Dena, Dale, Basil, Rae, Penny, Lana, Dave, Denny, Lena, Ida, Bernadette, Ben, Ray, Lila, Nina, Jo, Ira, Mara, Sara, Mario, Jan, Ina, Lily, Arne, Bette, Dan, Reba, Diane, Lynn, Ed, Eva, Dana, Lynne, Pearl, Isabel, Ada, Ned, Dee, Rena, Joel, Lora, Cecil, Aaron, Flora, Tina, Arden, Noel, and Ellen sinned." is a palindrome. im not sure who initially came up with that, but wow you did some work xD
i also found this epic (semi-)palindromic poem!
Aibohphobia is the fear of palindromes
Semordnilaps are words that spell other words when backwards, such as drawer/reward and stressed/desserts. anyone whos watched cloudy with a chance of meatballs (i think?) will know that live spelt backwards is evil, and lived is devil.
the longest palindrome in the english dictionary is "Tattarrattat", as in the sound when you knock a door. i also found Abba in the dictionary, as in the 70s band that made, and i quote from the oxford dictionary, "well-crafted catchy songs". seriously.
"koortsmeetsysteemstrook" is a dutch fever measurement or something like that, and theres also a place in the netherlands called "ee". yes, ee.
theres also Nerren Nerren in australia, Wassamassaw in south carolina, Ekalakala lake in montana, yreka bakery in yreka, california, and madoko dam in zimbabwe.
in Pompeii, the town that was covered in ash by Mt Vesuvius and preserved for hundreds of years, theres a very clever arrangement of 25 letters, so that if you read it left-to-right then down, or right-to-left then up, or top-to-bottom then right or bottom-to-top then left, it will always read SATOR/AREPO/TENET/OPERA/ROTAS. my mind is blown.
theres also Belphegor's prime - two sets of 13 zeroes, with a 666 in the middle, and its a prime number!
