Ready for Nerdville, a one day con in my hometown of Watsonville, CA! You can find me, my comic, and handmade dragons at booth 32. Join me in the Watsonville High School Gym for a day of need related fun!
All of my Santa Cruz county people have no excuse not to be here! Come say hi! More info here: https://www.friendsofwatsonvillepcs.org/nerdville-comic-art-fantasy-and-collectibles/.
Embyr just got adopted! Her adopter got all of the comics as well, so she’ll be able to learn all about her new dragon. If you want to adopt a dragon of your own, come see me at Nerdville today in Watsonville, CA!
Diamondflare just got adopted! This adorable adopter had been eyeing this puppet all day, and convinced his parents in the last few minutes of the show to let him bring his dragon home. Always nice to end a show on such a happy note!

Tomorrow I will be at the Grape Festival Grounds for Lodi Comic Con, and I am finishing up a brand new Embyr for the occasion. I always get a laugh at this stage of the process, but my hands and back will hate me when I’m done sewing her belly up.
The amount of tension I put on the thread is enough to cut into my fingers as I pull each stitch through, so I have silicon finger guards to help against that and cut down on the blisters. Stuffing large plushies is not a low energy process, that’s for sure. Pictures of her completed soon!
I present to you all my brand new Embyr! She turned out so cute! This one is definitely one of the best faces on an Embyr to date. Now it is time for me to rest my tired and sore hands to get ready for the comic con in the morning. Be one of the first to see her in person tomorrow, Saturday May 11, at Lodi Comic Con!

It’s always fun to ship out one of my handmade dragons, and today it was Embyr’s turn to be adopted! I dress them up with a ribbon tied in a bow, with today’s choice being purple gingham. Fingers crossed she arrives safely to her new home, and is treasured for many years.
If you want to adopt one of my handmade dragons, you can find them at one of my upcoming comic cons, my Dragon Child Plush Toys Etsy shop, or the Dragon Child online shop at https://dragonchild.net/shop/product-category/toys/.

Just in time for Bay Con tomorrow (or I guess later today), a brand new Embyr plush! I sewed up a new Diamondflare puppet, too, but I put him in the puppet bag before Embyr was finished. This Embyr has such a precious face! I hope you all agree and love her just as much as I do.
My hands don’t hurt that bad, so my attempts to safeguard them better than that last time appear to have worked. Yay! Considering that the power has been going out multiple times over the last two days, I had some built in and forced breaks. I’ll take it, especially since Embyr’s so cute!
Here are a couple pictures of her before she was all sewn up.

Over the last few weeks I have been inking like a crazy person to get issue 7 completed. I only have five pages left, so the end is in sight!
During that time, a few things happened. I got a few fun pictures of my dragons in the wild. Shindaira is enjoying her happy home with a gentleman that I see and talk to at many of my cons, and Embyr is best friends with her boy Mac! Embyr and Mac are watching Pete’s Dragon together, which just pulls at my heartstrings.
Finally, my comic on Webtoons’ Canvas has been viewed by over 1000 people and 80 followers, which I think is awesome. I’ve been adding four pages every week, putting them at page eight in issue 4 at the moment. Check it out at https://m.webtoons.com/en/challenge/dragon-child/list?title_no=353076 if you would like another way to read my comic.

As Christmas and the end of 2020 is in sight, I wanted to share some updated pictures of my independent comic book series, “Dragon Child”, and corresponding handmade dragon toys.
If you are shopping for an all ages fantasy comic or someone who would love a handmade large dragon plush or hand puppet, please give my shop a look.
Especially with the pandemic, I really appreciate your time and attention to my little comic world of dragons, and I think we can all use a little fantasy in our lives.
Embyr and I wish you all a merry holiday season! Stay safe.

Embyr the green dragon just got adopted! Her new dad is a very happy business tiger. Time to make a new one... After I finish issue 7.

I have an Embyr again! I am very pleased with how this dragon turned out. The tail is nice and extra long, and she has a great face. This batch of dragons forward have slightly longer lower jaws to match the puppets, and I think they look great.
Tail comparison between Embyr and Shindaira plushies.

After noticing that my pictures of Embyr were lacking the details of her back, I added a new picture to the Embyr Plush listing both on the Dragon Child Online Store and the DragonChildPlushToys Etsy Shop. If you are looking for a new plush dragon in your life, see if you might want to adopt an Embyr.
