Every year, thousands of American workers report having been victims of workplace violence. In 2021-22, assaults resulted in 57,610 injuries. In 2022, 525 fatalities due to assault were reported, according to Injury Facts. Workplace Safety is a cornerstone of any healthy work environment. However, there’s a darker side that often goes unnoticed: workplace violence.

My job just let me know the city is straight up eliminating my position and I won't have a job in 8 weeks bc of budget cuts.
I already have interviews lined up but I'm annoyed that I have to deal with this. I took a city job bc it was less hourly but supposed to be more stable than personal training.
Also insulting, they gave me a packet with open jobs with the city and neighboring cities but it is either highly skilled jobs (civil engineer) or complete entry level underpaid jobs (concessions cashier).
Unfortunately for them, my bestie is also quitting when I leave because he only worked there to hang out with me.
