Erg Chebbi

摩洛哥東南方就是撒哈拉沙漠了，梅爾祖卡 (Merzourga) 算是遊客進入沙漠的主要交通據點，這附近有幾個大沙丘，Erg Chebbi 算是是其中之一。

最靠近這個沙丘的村子是Hassilabied，就在沙丘旁，我住在村子邊面對沙丘第一排的旅店。門口是村子裡的菜園，菜園後面就是一望無際的沙漠了。

村子不大，靠沙丘裡蘊藏的水源分時段灌溉各家菜園，也有渠道可以取水。傍晚大家都會走到沙丘或坐或卧，享受沙漠時光直到夕陽西下。

白天的沙漠很熱，要騎駱駝進沙漠露營的，大概都會下午四點才出發，畢竟營地也就是在沙丘外圍這些地方而已。

但要爬沙丘的遊客還是有的，也有玩四輪傳動車的，這裡完全可以自己走路去沙丘，因為離村子很近也不怎麼會迷路。

我在村子裏的旅館住了一晚。晚上抬頭就可以看星星。

So I spent the night in the Sahara desert, and it was unreal. ❤️ ……………………………… After riding through the sunset 🌅, we made our way to a camp in the middle of the desert. We freshened up, ate dinner 🥘, and headed to a bonfire 🔥 with the sounds of Berber music 🎶. After this entertaining evening, we climbed sand dunes, and watched the stars. It was pitch black and the only sight of illumination came from those stars. I was amazed! The last time I had seen the magnitude of the stars was in the Serengeti in Tanzania. But this…was different. 🌌 While I laid on the sand dune alone, I was joined by a nomad. He laid next to me and we spoke until the wee hours of the morning. We conversed about life and loss, the power of manifestation, the beauty of a free unbound soul, etc. After all this, he then informed me that once we were finished chatting, and I went to sleep, I would not see him ever again. When I asked him why, he said that he was a nomad, and that they must keep moving. Before parting ways, he said he would remember me, and pray for me and my journeys. The very next day, I asked about him, and no one could ID or tell me where he had gone. It was almost as though this person didn’t exist.
