La nacionalidad chachi es un grupo étnico del Ecuador.

UBICACIÓN

Se encuentran en la región Costa del Ecuador, en diferentes zonas de la provincia de Esmeraldas. Su territorio es parte de la Reserva Ecológica Cotacachi-Cayapas, Reserva Ecológica Cayapas-Mataje y Reserva Ecológica Mache-Chindul. (Fernández, 2015)

COSTUMBRES

Entre sus costumbres destacaremos la alimentación, forma de vida libre y reservada con los colonos, las mingas, la pesca por las tardes diariamente, la caza de animales silvestres, fiestas tradicionales y su organización que con el paso del tiempo y años se ha fortalecido para el desarrollo se sus pueblos. El cha’palaa o cha’palaachi es la lengua indígena de la nacionalidad chachi (conocida anteriormente como cayapa). (Lima, 2019)

La danza étnica de la cultura chachi es diferente a la del pueblo afro, aunque tienen similitudes en los instrumentos musicales (marimba, bombos y cununos), explica Magdalena. En los telares chachis, las mujeres elaboran faldas ceremoniales y fajas multicolores (Anónimo, 2015)

En el caso de la música, las familias chachis unificaron ritmos como la cumbia, la bachata y la tecno cumbia, esto unido con su propia vestimenta junto al idioma chapalá y terminó formando lo que los definió.Los chachis reconocen también que la marimba es una fuerte fuente de origen para su cultura ya que hablan de la naturaleza como bosques, ríos, selvas y cascadas.La primera cantante de la cultura chicha es Magnolia Gasletus, contando con 26 años de edad actualmente “Soy una embajadora de la cultura de mi pueblo y de mi talento.Quiero que se los conozca en todo el país y a nivel internacional. GASTRONOMÍA

Su alimentación desde sus ancestros se basa en la caza, la pesca, recolección de frutos silvestres comestibles, plátano, arroz, yuca, chontaduro, maíz y frutas cítricas. (Anónimo, 2015)

VESTIMENTA

En el caso de los hombres, es un camisón largo hasta la rodilla de color azul, no calza ningún tipo de zapato, su cabello es corto, para el hombre Chachi la pintura ornamental del rostro es solo para las mujeres,razón por lo cual no se pintan. En el caso de la mujer Chachi, ésta lleva collares en su cuello, cubriendo su pecho, collares que son elaborados con sus propias manos, la parte inferior de su cuerpo la visten con una túnica de cuatro colores generalmente, azul, amarillo, morado, blanco; sus pies están descalzos, pero adornados al igual que su rostro con pinturas naturales. En los procesos educativos los Chachis a lo largo de su historia han estado marginados de la educación fiscal, frente a lo cual han creado centros educativos interculturales, pidiendo al gobierno se nombre maestros propios de la comunidad. Madrid

-2p!Madrid was born as a female under the name Esmeralda Fernandez Carriedo. He was also born out of wedlock.

- 2p!Madrid is ftm trans, his chosen name is Cristiano. he’s also a devout catholic.

-He thought for a very long time that him being trans was the direct result of his parents not being married when he was born and that God was punishing him as this is what the church told him as a child.

-his mother passed away during childbirth, so the mother figure in his life is Beatrice (2p!Belgium). He thought for a long time that she was his birth mother.

-Santiago and Cristiano have a much better relationship than Antonio and Carlos have. Cristiano idolises his father and wishes he could be more like him.

-when he was young (about 4 or 5) he shot himself in the eye while playing with one of his father’s guns, causing him to be permanently blind in that eye

-he was very scared to come out to his family (especially his father) as he was afraid his Santiago wouldn’t love him anymore.

-Flavio (with good intentions) outed Cristiano to Santiago and Beatrice.

-Santiago was angry but not because Cristiano was trans. It was more like he was mad that Cristiano didnt have the guts to tell them himself. Beatrice didn’t really care one way or the other.

-was often bullied and attcked as a child.

-has numerous scars from these attacks.

-when he was a teenager, a group of men grabbed him and carved the word ‘Monstruo’ carved into his stomach. They also tried to gut him like a fish and when that didnt work, slit his throat.

-his chest is messed up from years of improper binding

-he wears big baggy clothes to help him pass in public

-refused to speak infront of people because his voice would give him away

-started on testosterone in the 1980’s

-Cristiano can’t have any type of gender reassignment surgery as he has a reaction to anesthesia.

- he’s a shut in and will not leave the house unless its absolutely necessary (think world meetings, doctors appointments, etc)

-is a freelance artist in addition to his job as a capital and makes a lot of money off of it.

-in the present day he’s happy and healthy. He lives with his parents, choosing to spend the most time with his father and half-brother Maximo (2p!Brussels)

Son, entonces mujeres, cuando en el día han sido hombres", José González Castillo. Año 1914, Buenos Aires. Una familia adinerada es sacudida por la revelación de la doble vida sexual de Flórez, padre y marido, con su íntimo amigo de la infancia, Pérez, quien tiene un bunker donde los invertidos de la época pueden desplegar su secreto mundo femenino. Clara, esposa de Flórez, es el vértice de un triángulo oscuro a través del cual esta historia de amor entre hombres lleva a los personajes a desnudar sus pasiones más ocultas. Lo prohibido y lo que no puede "ser visto" de este vínculo conduce irremediablemente a los personajes a la tragedia “Lo que me impulsó a poner en escena nuevamente esta pieza, además de su estructura perfecta, Ibseniana; es su desgraciada actualidad. Aun con los años, las conquistas y los avances obtenidos, continúan los discursos coercitivos, los prejuicios, la hipocresía y la doble moral; temáticas que Castillo supo tallar con excelencia. Me es de un enorme placer sumergirme en el pensamiento de otra época, para generar la pregunta: ¿cuánto de todo esto, que creemos anacrónico, nos sigue interpelando en la sociedad actual? Creo que Los invertidos, como todo clásico, permanecen vigente porque nos habla, de una manera rotunda, de nuestra realidad cotidiana. La ignorancia, la hipocresía y la discriminación solo generan tragedia. Entiendo que mi rol como artista es generar la posibilidad de la transformación.
