I personally don’t mind the reveal that Aegon the Conqueror was motivated by dragon dreams about tptwp/war for the dawn; I actually like it quite a lot. Mostly because I like how Aegon’s legacy basically becomes: the unification of the realm and its peoples (a wholly positive thing) AND the iron throne (which has become a symbol of war and destruction). Aegon brought the realm together, but he also created that stupid pointy chair. The irony is that this chair, made of swords from all over the realm thus being a representation of all the different peoples in Aegon’s new kingdom, is meant to be the symbol of peace and unity. But in the current story, it’s become the driving force of disunity. And now hundreds of years later, now that the real threat that Aegon dreamed of has actually arrived, the realm is much too focused on who gets to sit on the silly chair more than anything else. Which imo would fall in quite nicely with GRRM’s deconstruction of prophecy, how people interpret it, and the ripple effects from those actions.

Part 1
I've been taking readings with the limited equipment I've been able to secure. Some riveting data accumulating. Hypotheses taking shape. My struggle with this is that the way this place works makes any hypothesis immediately come back to alter and contaminate the data.
Anyway, I've been working to capture, isolate and amplify certain frequencies from the background radiation ambient noise, so... let's see what happens.
I was caught in a loop. The deeper into the dark depths I got, peeling off the layers of the Dark Place, like the ocean zones, from twilight to midnight, to abyssal to the deepest trenches, the closer I felt to going mad.
This voice, the narration... It keeps going forever. This leads me to believe it's what's holding this place together, it's making it real. Is this the voice of the dreamer?
What's strange is that it sounds a bit like my voice.

I often worry that I look like someone who only likes things for "shallow" reasons (shipping, memes, jokes, shitposts, ooc headcanons, etc.) but I'm also too shy and scared to ever try to post more serious thoughts on fiction online ever. I spent so much time in lit/english class feeling like my interpretations were always wrong or not focused on the right things, and so I'm just left to assume that those faults of mine probably carry over to now and the things I like as well. So while I really enjoy analyzing and picking apart things I like in my head, I'd never post those thoughts online out of fear of looking stupid, but I'm also worried I look stupid not posting any real serious thoughts. People seem to assume that what someone posts online represents the totality of their being or thoughts sometimes. I also think I don't owe anyone a certain way of enjoying things, but I also know that people can be judgmental assholes about it (which is simultaneously why I don't want to post sincere analysis and why I feel like I look stupid not posting it).
To make it clear I think there is nothing wrong for liking something exclusively or partially in a "shallow" way, I also don't think those are actually shallow ways of engaging with something, and I like things in those way too, but I know others can be assholes about it and I have a lot of hangups over how I'm perceived by others

Honestly I'm not sure the cat king *can* get to hell. Like we see that he doesn't seem to have an eternal spirit in the sense humans in this universe do, and many of us know from worldbuilding in the comics that certain beings can't enter certain planes of existence or pocket universes or whatever without certain traits or magic abilities.
Also, his binding spell (which up until ep 6 was basically indestructible) was ripped off by that baby longlegs demon like it never existed in the first place which points to him being completely powerless in there even if he can get in
Also in ep 7 he says Edwin survived hell (which I mean. Distinctly he didn't) as if it's really difficult to make it through there. Reminder that he (as some sort of feline god-king) was talking to Esther (an extremely dangerous immortal witch) about managing to exist in hell for 70 years like it's a remarkable thing to achieve
In Sandman we saw Morpheus walk right into hell with minimal issue (he did almost get his shit rocked trying to leave but). In dbda we see Charles successfully smash and grab his way through the place. Both of those arcs were cool as fuuck and I adore them but also I think it's given some viewers the idea that hell is WAY easier to enter and leave without consequences than it actually is

okay i still think about wembley all of the time, but like, they OBVIOUSLY had so many storylines set up that were hastily scrapped because of injury. hayter, saraya, pac, nigel vs bryan. they just keep fucking over their biggest events and culmination of storylines because they can't keep their roster safe, and they can't write long-running stories with pay-offs months away because with this track record they Know people will be injured by then. not to mention all of the workhorses that shoulder the belts for a week or two just to drop it to someone "important", needing to cover for everyone who's injured over and over. the way they'll give the belt to someone for a cheap pop not caring that it fucks up most ongoing storylines, and then resort to them dropping the belt immediately afterward. it's insane to me that they don't do more about it because at this point it's actively hurting business - why get invested in the set-up of a new story, why buy tickets to the biggest event of the year, when it'll fizzle out like the outcasts, the devil and literally everything else

the first gouenji sketch is inspired from captain tsubasa (il famoso drive shoot), and the second from some official art. you'll notice that his hands aren't in his pockets, but directly in his pants, bc he's a teenager
the rest is about other characters i like :)
