The Use of Chalk When Climbing

There is some debate as to whether using chalk on rocks can actually erode them and the plants growing on rocks due to its chemical composition. There is even debate as to whether it truly helps with better grip. The constant use of chalk stains the rocks and has become known as "chalk graffiti." Undertale

Sans likes The Fox and the Hound. There’s still some music in it and the storyline is sorta deep andreally bittersweet. When it comes to Disney movies, he’s more invested in the plot than the songs and movie magic.

Papyrus is more of a classics kind of skeleton. His fave is Snow White (which was actually the first animated movie they ever produced). He’s relatively silent watching it the first time, but don’t expect that to last the next time. He really likes to sing along.

Underswap

Sans is entranced by The Little Mermaid. The songs and the visuals are so bright and cheery, and he’ll start humming along as soon as he knows the melodies. If you’re still underground, he can kind of relate to Ariel’s plight; being in one world and wanting to be in the one above her. If this is post-pacifist, it’s something he still reflects on.

Papyrus likes The Jungle Book. The story is interesting, but it’s the jazzy music he really digs. You may or may not hear him hum random melodies from it when he’s occupied.

Underfell

Sans likes Beauty and the Beast. He won’t tell you unless you really press him for an answer. He really identifies with Beast, and thinks of you as Belle (the only way he’d watch a Disney movie is if his partner made him). He really doesn’t get what you see in him, but maybe one day your TLC will turn him into a nice, handsome gentleman. Maybe.

Papyrus likes The Lion King. You’d think it would be the wonderful animation or the timeless songs, but no. It’s because he sees himself in Scar. They’re both geniuses, both dark and brooding…although Papyrus is pretty sure his plans turn out more successful.

Swapfell

Sans’ favorite is Mulan. Unlike many other (older) Disney movies, the female protagonist gets to shape her own destiny, even though it deviates from societal norms, and kicks ass while doing it. He sympathizes with her defiant, independent nature. 

Papyrus likes Tarzan. He finds the concept of a human being raised by animals fascinating, even if it doesn’t normally happen in the real world. He really wants to explorea rainforest or a jungle some day because it’s an environment the Underground doesn’t have and it looks really pretty.

It’s also how he discovered the music of Phil Collins.
