What’s the stance on Generative Ai use for submitted works for Aggressively Arospec Week? I looked in the FAQ and the About section but didn’t find anything
Hello! AAW, as well as AAS, are meant to highlight the amazing artist within our community and give them a place to shine during an entire week.
That being said, we do not condone the use of any type of generative AI. This event is for creators only. Considering AI models are trained on other fanwork without the original creators' consent, we do not consider generative AI respectful of creative work. We have updated our FAQ to include this statement.
Instead of using AI, we encourage all of you to take this oportunity to create something that comes from your heart. Draw a stick figure if you want, the important part is that you do it yourself. Remember you can even send headcanons or create a playlist instead. It doesn't have to be ostentatious to be considered art. Everyone started somewhere.
We hope you all have fun during our events and the creative process is definitely part of the journey, don't deprive yourselves of it.
We genuinely can't wait to see what all of you have in store for us! Thank you for being a big part of all this!

are we allowed to combine AAW prompts with other events?
Hi there!
There are not prompts as such during AAW, except to explore arospec experiences in fanwork.
That said, if you want to combine this event with another one, it's totally allowed, as long as the exploration of aromanticism is explicit in the work you produce.
Hope this answers your question!

Not sure if this is what the other anon was asking, but now I’m curious. How about fanwork that is based in a pre-existing work, but includes or focuses on original characters in the story? Which event would that categorize into?
Hi!
If your work focuses on an original character, that still counts as original content, even if the universe they exist in is someone else’s.

are oc’s allowed for aggressively aro week?
Hi!
Original characters count as original content, so you're welcome to share them during Aggressively Arospectacular in November.
Also, you can check our new tag FAQaaw25 to keep track of all the questions during this year's AAW.
Thank you for joining us!

Hi 👋
I was looking around, and I saw that there's no collection for the AWW25 on AO3 yet.
And because I still get confused between AggressivelyArospecWeek and AggressivelyArospectacular, I ended up in your about page, but the dates there are old (from 2019)
Hello there!
We create the collection 15 days before the event starts and we share an announcement here so you’re aware of it. Stay tuned to our blog to learn more about it.
Also, quick reminder: AAW (June) is for fanworks only, while AAS (November) is for original works.
If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to contact us!

Aggressively Arospec Week 2025 is fifteen days away!
Let’s take a moment to remind everyone how you can submit your fanworks to this event:
- Make a new post on tumblr and use the tag #AggressivelyArospecWeek (in one word) in the first five tags.
- Make your post on your blog and then submit a link to it through our submission box.
- If you don’t want to come out as arospec on your personal blog, you can submit your work anonymously to us and we’ll post it for you.
- For our fanfiction writers that use AO3 to publish their work, you can add your fics to the #AAW25 collection here or by searching the collection’s name (Aggressively Arospec Week ‘25) on the settings of your fic. The Collection is currently closed, but we'll open it the first day of the event.
If your post hasn’t appeared on our blog three days after you have posted it, please do contact us directly and link us to your post! Sometimes things get lost in the vast web of the internet, but we promise we actually want to see and share your work!
Also, you can check our tag FAQaaw25 to see the questions related to the event we've received so far.
We can’t wait to see all your contributions!

Note
This might be a dumb question, but do the moods read the stories in the AAW collection before approving them? Or they get approved just with the tagging?
Hello! It’s not a dumb question at all.
It depends on the story, but I usually read it until I reach the point where the aro character is established as such in any way or form.
That paired with the tagging is what gets them approved.
Thank you!
