wada sez: This strip is a riff on the idea of “black redecos”, a common kind of Transformers toy release. Bumblebee, Brawn, Cliffjumper and Windcharger appearing here is a reference to Takara’s blind-packed release of the Fun4All keychains, which had hard-to-find black chase variants. Magnus, meanwhile, has been drawn specifically as the then-popular third-party “City Commander” armor add-on for Classics Ultra Magnus released by Fansproject, with the idea being that the inner robot is the SDCC-exclusive Nemesis Prime toy. Marshall said the following on Seibertron: “I kept continuity references vague just because lots of continuity seems to scare people. It was written as a post movie cartoon/comic piece, with the Dead Universe as a 'classic' G1 version of the IDW one, but you are free to slot it in where you like!” Black-and-white lineart and full-res clean panels below, along with Marshall’s remastered version of this strip from his Tales From The Matrix Keeper zine.

the drag strip at home i had was worse than g1 drag strip by a mile actually. he's a mirage recolor but the mirage was also godawful fuckugly. now that i have the legacy one im going to microwave him and i'm dead serious. however i also have a very nice 3p drag strip that was part of my collecting project from the last couple years and he's the drag strip i think about when i say i have drag strip at home

boy howdy the Fansproject intended-to-be-permanent upgrade kit for Classics Optimus Prime is A Thing

some questionable decisions with a redesign for the gauntlet/hand assembly mean that those don’t have a solid connection

trying to think of a way to address that without outright using adhesive

UPDATE: that's Fansproject Thundershred (lol). Or maybe a KO of it since it was really cheap.

What i did bought is this mysterious Shrapnel figure that must be some KO/3rd party since i can't find it on tfwiki. Well he was cheap so i'll see what i got when he gets here.

And another figure with badly taken photo is under readmore

It's Beast Hunters Wheeljack missing his weapons and some paint but i still happy that i got him because other options on the second hand market had ridiculously high prices.

I want to get him some cool swords anyway or see if any that i have already fit him (they're classic plain metal swords but i would prefer some colorful transparent plastic ones for this figure).
