been doing plenty of spinning and stuff, but have been too tired to document it properly. but! here’s two.

mystery fibre fingeringweight single that’s a sort of golden-brown gradient, and a colourway called “emperor butterfly” chain plied into a light fingeringweight / heavy lace.

no idea what i’m gonna do with either of these, but i think maybe some very plain gloves for the single. perhaps the petitknit ones i have in my favourites?

Just blocked the Point The Way shawl by DROPS Design, free pattern on Ravelry. I used this as a stash busting project and gathered up my leftover bits of fingering weight yarns and tried to make blends after about every inch of solid. I’m surprised how much I like it, I’d have never selected these colors purposely but I think they wound up looking pretty good together. A few of the yarns never got used as the pattern ended before I got to them, and four of the yarns were used completely. I still have lots left so they’ll be for another project (maybe) down the road. . The video shows the color blending, some more subtle than others. I started and ended(small end) with the same yarn. . I swear, I’m wearing this once the first leaf falls off a tree!
