This time last year my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer. This last year has been a whirlwind of brain surgery, radiotherapy, and chemo, all under the amazing care of Royal Marsden Hospital near London.
Throughout this time he has kept himself busy by writing a book to help keep a grasp on his mental health, about the History of the West Glamorgan Fire Service from mid 20th Century.
It is a factual reference book, over 100 pages of colour photographs, and a great Christmas present for any Fire Engine fan or enthusiast.
All proceeds help our family support my husband in his recovery and physio to get back to full health. Happy to answer any questions people may have.
Shipping is worldwide via Ebay Global Shipping Program.

Fiery Flynn moment
I don't really have a fun fact this time, except for the fact that Konnosaurus hates him, and doesn't know why!

hiiii : D
i was in edmonton recently, and i saw an oilers firetruck (which like ew) and i was wondering if you, as a firetruck enthusiast, had any thoughts on it?
(ps i think youre really funny and cool : ) )
that’s so interesting!!! i searched it up and i found this so im assuming it was this one you saw? if it’s not and you don’t wanna reveal the anon you can just send another ask and confirm or deny but this was what i found:

my first opinion: i do think it’s a little funny to see the oilers logo on a fire truck but first, i think this is. really ugly LMAO. like the landscape pic with a sunrise and then the oilers logo just Slapped on it?? so unappealing to the eye. when i found this pic i actually raised an eyebrow and thought “this can’t be it… right?”
my second opinion: i’m actually not really a fan of fire trucks that have big prints/designs on them. like obviously there are exceptions, for example, i think they the Indigenous Livery wrap on the VFRS Engine 2 is stunning in a way that doesn’t draw too much attention to it,

(second opinion cont’d): but i think that a wrap like the oilers one or any along the lines of That Specific Design with the landscape puts me off since the point of a fire truck being bright red is so that it is Visible, so by covering that visibility in a landscape or something that you see and think “wow what an odd advertisement” instead of “oh, fire truck, gotta get out of the way” feels irresponsible for the fire services to allow to happen.
my third opinion: i am also generally a little put back by any type of branding on a fire truck period. little flags on the side of it to celebrate a holiday? sure, whatever, but fire trucks respond to incidents and tragedies and the saying is that when you see a fire truck it’s normally under circumstances that you never wanna be in again. so if i was dying or my family member was dying, and the fucking Oilers Branded Fire Engine pulled up to my house, i would forever associate the Oilers with having one of the worst moments of my life. the only good thing to come out of brands On emergency vehicles is that they get more funding, but that will then make people associate said brand with tragic events so it’s complicated, that’s what i’ll say 💀
the truck itself is a little charming? just a little bit. i just wish it was like, more appealing to the eye LMAO
THANK YOU FOR THE ASK, ANON!!! i love talking about fire trucks it’s one of my favourite things ever. i bet that you’re also really funny and cool!!!
